The small seven year old escaped. He ran and ran and ocasionally morphed into a cheetah cub of a wolf cub as he ran away from the supposedly vacant warehouse. The child whimpered as tears ran down his jaded skin. He could hear the screams and threats forced upon him.

"You worthless brat! When I get my hands on you you will pay! You freak of nature!" They echoed in his mind as he finally reached a save town. Jump City the sign read. His tainted innocent mind couldn't process the letters for he could not read. He struggled to walk into the city. He saw so many people staring at him once he reached the inside of the city.

He whimpered once more as he ran into an alley. There a man wearing black clothing brutally ran pasted him, knocking him over, running away from what he could sense was a person. The man held a bag in hand. A vioce was heard from the shadows.

"Didn't I stop you the first time I was came here? Guess you didn't learn yout lesson did you?" The voice spoke as a teenager sprung out attacking the man. Once he was done he tied up the man leaving im hanging upside down, struggling for a way out. He was left panting for are as he looked around and found the small child cowering in the corner. "Are'nt you a little to you to be out this late?" Big emerald eyes widened with fear as he was caought. They filled with tears as he began another run.

The teen clad with red and green followed in pursuit, to save the samll child from anymore danger. He chased him into another alleyway. "It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to help you." He whispered as pursuade the child to come out of the corner.

"Liar!" He spoke as more tears fell. " You want to fixed me with shocking thingys and make me norman." He spoke once again.

The masked teen stared with shock on his face. How could a child say that. Every kid he saved came with him. Ths one on the other hand was resisting, thinking he would cause him harm. " No I don't come on, I promise I'm nice. I just want to get you to your mommy and daddy. You don't want to see them?" He coaxed. He must have said the wrong thing for the green child cried once more.

"You meanie! You want to hurt me!" He stated as he curled into himself. The super hero picked him up and began to cradle him. Once the tears stopped flowing the child refused to speak.

"Is it okay if I take you to my house? I promise I wont hurt you." He whispered. He relaxed when he felt a small nod on his shoulder. He stared his walk to his bike as he saw his friends waiting for him.

"Hey Rob! Woah were the hell did you find him?" A haf- robotic man asked as he saw the emerald eyes glitter with fear. He curled into the masked hero and began to slightly shake.

"He's okay, come on say hi. The would hurt you. He raised his head and was rewarded with collected gasps. He ducked his head once more and continued his shakeing. "I'll meet you guys at the tower." He said as he walked over to the red motercycle. He grabbed the sinlge matching helmet and placed it on the child. He blinked through the clear frame and giggled.

His first smile in almost three years shown to a complete stanger. The boy smiled back and placed him on the front of the bike. He got on behin him and started the cycle. The child stared at it with fright .

"I want you to hold on to my arms really tight okay. Can you do that for me." The boy asked in a hushed tone. The green boy nodded and did ashe was told and they were off, racing the wind. Once they got to the ocean they waited pantiently for a blue clad car holding three other superheores.

His sparkling eyes glittered once more with fear as he looked up at his savior. "Its okay. They're nice. You want to go in the car wiht them or stay with me?" He whispered encourangingly. The boy didn't need to know what a car was to know to stay with the masked teen.

A blue clad girl stepped out and began her dark energy on the cycle with both boys on it. The green boy whined and cried as he was lifted across the sea to a tower shaped like a 'T'. Once on the small island the dark energy disapeard and his crys couldn't stop as he was held once more in the green gloved arms.

"God doesn't that kid no how to be quiet?" The blue girl snapped as she gritted her teeth in annoyance.

"Calm down Raven he's just shaken up thats all." The metal man pointed out at the shaking bundle in their leader's arms.

"I agree with friend Cyborg. The innocent child is scared of something." The red head spoke up as she looked worringly at the boy.

"I don't think he's that innocent Starfire." The leader spoke out, rocking the child to sleep.

"What do you mean friend Robin?" She asked as she walked over to the sleeping bundle, his green skin forgotten.

"I'll explain everything once we get this little guy ready for bed." He whispered as he walked out of the garage and straight for his room.
