Hey guys! Guess what? I'm starting the sequel. It might take me a long time to finish because I have a very busy schedule! I'm also trying to finish another story and start another one along with this one (I just have so many ideas!).
I received a lot of comments about how you wanted Emmie to stay in this story! OF course she is! Don't be silly. I love Emmie.
You should probably read the original Becoming Vernians before you read this one!
Land of Lemuria
Chapter One
A soft pillow collided with a man huddled under his thousands of blankets. He groaned as he tried to hide his head, but the beating continued until he waved a forfeiting hand around wildly.
Blinking his caramel eyes open slowly he stared at the long haired beauty before him. She smirked at him amused by the tired look on his face, "Wake up sleepy head."
"No..." he attempted to burry himself, but she grabbed the blankets away from him.
"Sean, wake up," the girl rolled her eyes. "I didn't come over here to visit for you to be sleeping the entire time"
"I'm exhausted..."
"Maybe you shouldn't stay up so late watching Family Guy then."
Staring up at her he frowned, "Come on Kailani, give me my blankets back."
"No."
"You can come join me you know," a smirk crossed his lips as he patted the bed beside him. "It's warm underneath the blankets."
Kailani rolled her large brown eyes, "Your mom made bacon, eggs, and toast. Meet me downstairs for breakfast."
On that note, she stormed out of the bedroom. Sean stared at his ceiling for a moment trying to wake himself up. He had not even known she was coming to visit this week... It would have been nice if she informed him of these sort of things instead of just showing up whenever she pleased.
He lazily climbed out of bed and over to his dresser. He dug out a pair of jeans and slipped them on over his boxer briefs sluggishly. Then he took out a pair of white socks and had to lean against the wall to balance himself. As he looked down at his feet he saw a white paper on the ground.
"What's this?" he muttered to himself as he leant down to pick it up. A frown crossed his features as he gazed at the memory before him. It was like he couldn't escape her. Even after being apart from her for over two years it was as if she were everywhere. He shoved it back in the sock drawer telling himself he would have to throw it out later.
His mom had her hair tied up in a high ponytail as she totted around the kitchen making coffee. His step father, Hank Parsons, sat at the table scoffing down his eggs and bacon happily. Kailani shook her head at Sean's disheveled shaggy brown hair. No matter how many times she begged him to cut it, it always managed to grow too fast for her liking.
"Well look who decided to join us for breakfast," his mom greeted with a cheery smile. She placed a placed a steaming cup of black coffee on the table beside a plate of eggs, bacon, and buttered toast for him.
Sean kissed her cheek, "Thanks Mom."
He plopped down and sipped the drink gratefully. The caffeinated beverage definitely would help him wake up this morning. Especially since his girlfriend so rudely woke him up at such an obnoxious time. He glanced at the clock over the stove. Twelve P.M. who wakes up that early?
Kailani shot Sean a disgusted stare, "I don't know how you can drink coffee like that."
"I picked it up from-" he cut himself off as he took a sip of his drink. He didn't want to finish his sentence. "-from my uncle."
"How is Trevor?" his mother questioned as she sat down alongside her husband. "I haven't heard from him in a few months."
Sean shrugged, "Hannah and him haven't called in awhile."
"That's strange," she took a bite of her toast.
"They probably are busy," Sean shook off her worry. "You know how Trevor get's when he's working on some huge project."
She laughed, "Your father used to get the same way. Those Anderson's."
Hank smiled at his wife, "So.. what are the plans for today, Liz?"
"I need to go grocery shopping and you will be accompanying me."
He frowned, "Oh."
"Kailani, how long are you staying this time?" Liz directed towards her son's beau.
"A couple weeks," she bumped her elbow with Sean's. "I was hopping Sean would take me to Niagara falls, since he's promised me the last ten times I've visited."
Sean fought the urge to roll his eyes, "I'm sorry I was busy."
"With what?"
"School," he followed his step-father's actions and began to consume his meal at a fast pace. Anything to bite his tongue at his girlfriends demanding behavior. Jeeze, even she wasn't this bad. Again, he scolded himself for his thoughts.
After finishing their meals, and Kailani resorted to cleaning up the dishes at Liz's request. The mother kissed her son's temple and he grinned at her appreciatively, "All right. Hank and I will be back in a few. Behave."
The last word made Sean turn red, "Yeah, yeah."
When the front door closed a smirk appeared on the tanned girl alongside him, "Behave huh?"
"Yeah..." Sean eyed her. She wore a red tank that exposed the bit of cleavage she had and khaki shorts that ended mid thigh. His hormones began to kick in as she bent forward to rinse a soapy plate underneath the running water.
"That's one request of your mothers..." Kailani put the dish on the drying wrack. She whipped her hands on a towel beside the sink before turning to Sean. He stopped washing the cup in his hand as she pressed her plump lips against his own roughly. A devilish smirk crossed her lips and he bit his own as their eyes danced across one another's faces. "... that I am going to have to deny."
Sean came in for another kiss, "Same here."
Somehow the two ended up making out on one of the white leather couches in the living room. Kailani straddled Sean's lap as their tongues lapped against one another's. Sean's hands were around Kailani's waist embracing any exposed skin he could feel. They were so involved with another they hardly heard the doorbell.
Breaking apart, Sean fixed his wrinkled gray tee shirt as Kailani moved off his lap into a sitting position. She giggled at the lump in his pants and he adjusted himself as he started walking towards the front door.
Whoever this is better have a good excuse, he thought scornfully. He had been having a little too much fun and definitely had not appreciated being interrupted.
He turned the knob and swung the door open. There was no one there. Sean frowned and was about to shut the door when a hand feminize hand stuck itself between the wood ceasing the action. Pushing the door open Sean swore his heart fell out of his chest.
Emmie.
