This one takes place after TDA. Enjoy!
Gwen's POV
I sighed in boredom as I leaned my back behind the wall with my arms crossed, watching everyone having fun. Today, I was wearing a black ruched dress which exposed my shoulders and matching Dolce heels with bows on each shoe. You know why I wear this? It's only because of prom day which I already showed up right now. I'm not here to dance, I'm just want to be alone. Except Leshawna, Bridgette and Duncan. It's been years since I broke up with Trent after TDA which I find out he was hanging out with Katie and Sadie. So, I decided to forget about Trent from now on.
When I was still feeling bored until Bridgette and Leshawna showed up (A/N: Bridgette: a turquoise blue strapless dress with silver tone glitter and beads and silver SanJuan high heeled shoes with 4 1/4 heel and 1 platform and Leshawna: a aqua multi halter dress with a tulle skirt and rainbow colored shoes with 4/14 high heels and 1 platform)
"Gwen, hey!" Bridgette greeted.
"Glad you make it, girl!" Leshawna added.
"Hey, guys." I said as my lips curved into a smile. "How's it going?"
"We're doing fine." Bridgette said, "Geoff and I are having a great time."
"Mmm hmm," Leshawna agreed, "Same goes for me and Harold which I am really impressed because of his dance moves." The three of us are glancing at Harold who was on the dance floor, showing off his hip hop moves.
"Shouldn't have seen that coming." I said, chuckling.
"Well, I gotta go," Bridgette said, "Geoff needs me." She then walked off.
"And now I just hope I could join Harold on the dance floor." Leshawna added, walking off as well. "Good luck finding another guy."
"Ok, I will." I said with a chuckle before going back to my boredom. Just as I began to glanced around the room, I noticed that Trent is already there with Katie and Sadie at his side. My heart is wrenched in my chest. Trent's eyes met mine and I felt my stomach sink as a smirk made its way across Trent's face. Quickly, I scowled before turning away from him.
"Having problems with your ex?" a male husky voice asked. I looked up to see who it is: Duncan. He was standing in front of me with a trademark smirk on his face. My face quickly turns into a cheerful look.
"Hey, Duncan." I said cheerfully. "How things work out with Courtney so far?"
Duncan sighed in defeat, "It was really bad. We broke up...again."
"Aww, that's too bad." I said, sadly before going back to my cheerfulness again. "At least both of you are qualify for Total Drama World Tour."
"True." Duncan said, going back to his smirk, "That's why I had to stay away from her after she talks trash about you for trying to steal me away."
We both share a laugh before I start changing the subject while whispered urgently, "Look, I know this is going to sound weird but can you pretend to be my boyfriend?"
Duncan raised his eyebrow. "Why?" he asked.
"Because my ex-boyfriend, Trent is over there with Katie and Sadie. Since I broke up with him, I-" Duncan held up a hand in front of me, interrupting my words.
"I understand now." he said with a grin, "I'll pretend to be your boyfriend." I sighed with relief.
"With Courtney gone," he continued, "she doesn't know what I was doing."
"Thank you," I said, "I totally owe you for this."
"So...wanna dance?" I asked. Duncan shrugged.
"Okay. As soon as I won't step on your feet," Duncan said as I begin to giggle.
"Come on," I said as I take his hand as we both go to the dance floor.
Duncan wrapped his arms around my waist as our bodies moved in rhythm to the music. "Do you think Trent is still staring?" he whispered in my ear. I glanced at Trent and saw his smirk replaced with a look of hatred. Hate to see that happened.
"No," I said, "But he looks ready to kill you because his jealously towards our friendship." Duncan chuckled.
As we danced together in silence, Duncan cleared his throat. "Gwen, can I ask you something?" he asked.
I looked up at him in surprised. "Yes?" I asked. His face changed as if he was thinking of something. "Duncan?" I asked again after a few minutes of silence.
"Do you want to go out sometime during the weekend?" Duncan asked, "Like a date?" A look of suprise crossed my face. Did Duncan asked me out? That was unexpected. "I can understand if you don't want to," he said quickly, "I know you just broke up with Trent and-"
"No," I interrupted, "I'd love to. What if Courtney finds out about our relationship?"
"Don't worry, she won't," Duncan smirked, "And besides, she is not even my type."
I smiled as my cheeks turned red. It won't last until Trent appeared(without Katie and Sadie). "May I cut in?" Trent asked with a smile.
My face quickly turns angry. "No!" I snapped, glaring at my ex.
"Come on baby, don't be like that." Trent said, reaching out a hand to touch my arm but I jerked it away quickly.
"Don't touch me!" I shouted as Trent rolled his eyes with a smug smirk on his face.
"Gwen, come on," he said, "It was one little kiss."
"I will never kiss you!" I yelled.
Everyone turned their heads towards me and Trent, even Bridgette, Geoff, Harold and Leshawna. "What's going on?" Geoff asked as he wrapped his arm around his girlfriend (Bridgette).
"It looks like Gwen was arguing with her ex." Harold explains.
"You mean Trent?" Leshawna asked.
"Yes, him." Harold said, "My bandmate of the Drama Brothers."
"I don't understand what is he doing here," Bridgette said.
"I had no idea." Leshawna said to her. "It's been years since Gwen broke up with him." Duncan's hands remained on my waist as he gets ready to protect me instead of dancing.
"I don't know why you're making such a big deal-" I quickly interrupted Trent's words.
"I got three words for you, pal!" I shouted, "We...Are...Done!" Trent's smirk disappeared.
"Gwen, don't make a scene!" he hissed at me, "I still love you!"
"No, you can't!" I shouted as his eyes narrowed, "I saw you hanging out with Katie and Sadie! What were you thinking!"
"Gwen," Trent said, struggling to keep the anger out his voice, "Why don't you hold your tongue?" Even the DJ turned down the music. Duncan wished he would turn it back up so not everyone could hear the argument. It's like his relationship with Courtney all over again, according to him. Duncan kept an arm around my waist and tried to lead me away from Trent but I remained where I was. In a split second, I slapped Trent right in the face. The sound echoed throughout the club. Trent scowled and made a move to slap me back but Duncan grabbed his wrist.
"Don't you dare touch her," Duncan said in a low threatening voice. He grabbed my hand and pulled toward the door and out of Prom. They sat on a nearby bench.
"Are you okay?" Duncan asked me in a worry tone. I took a deep breath.
"Yeah." I said as he grinned at me.
"You look beautiful tonight, especially your dress."
I smiled at the comment of what he said. It made me happy. I looked into Duncan's baby blue eyes and felt myself melt under his gaze. He cupped my cheek with his hand. Then he leaned forward slowly and tentatively until our lips met. The sudden start of the music again broke us apart.
"So..." Duncan said, "Does this mean we're together?"
I nodded. "Yeah," I said with a smile. "We sure are."
When Duncan and I went back on the dance floor, I noticed Bridgette and Leshawna looking at us and smiled. They smiled back. They were glad that the argument between me and Trent is officially over.
"Just forget about him," Duncan said, nuzzling my neck, "like I did to Courtney. You're much too good for him."
I smiled as I glanced at Duncan. I could easily easily forget about Trent. Because now, I finally moved on until I had someone better than him. My one and only Duncan.
The reason why I wrote the story, it's only because of Gwen seeing Trent talking with Katie and Sadie during the TDA exclusive in which she stated that seeing Trent again wasn't easy. That is why I hate Trent. He should mind his own business about Duncan and Gwen's friendship.
Anyway, read and review, Gwuncan fans!
