Me again. Putting up another DP story... Yup.

Disclaimer: I'm pretty sure I'm female, too young and probably not rich enough to be Butch Hartman. So... I don't own Danny Phantom.

Tonight was the night... He thought with a determined gaze towards the children that walked into the woods where he was. His small glowing form hiding behind a bush, out of their sight.

Today was the day.

"Danny, are you sure this is a good idea?" The African-American boy in the group asked; his jumpiness very obvious, even from the glowing creature's distance.

"No, but we're doing it anyway." The raven haired boy with bright blue eyes said with a brave smile.

"But what if a monster comes out and eats us?" The boy whimpered.

"Stop being a baby, Tucker!" The black haired girl laughed.

"I'm not a baby!" Tucker cried.

The creature smiled sadly at this, their exchange reminded him of his friends at his home. This caused him to frown, memories surfacing. He burried them without a second thought and continued to wait for them to come deeper into the woods.

He had to be focused.

"Yes you are! Only babies whine about monsters!" The girl explained with a very sure smile.

"Nuh, uh!"

Then they heard a twig snap and shocked Danny backed up and tripped over something, causing him to land on his bottom.

"Ack!" Danny cried. The other two children held faces of shock, running over to him.

"What happened?" The girl asked, helping Danny up. This was when the creature decided to make it's move, the sky darkened and his glow flared.

This was the time.

This was his moment.

"Was it the monster?" Tucker asked, his voice laced with fear.

"I dunno, I ju-" He froze, the creature's eyes meeting his. The creature stayed still for a moment before moving closer to the boy. Danny gulped in fear while his friends looked at each other with a confused glance, not seeing what their friend was seeing.

"Danny?" They asked before a blood curtling scream came from their friend's mouth.

The creature flew towards Danny as he fell over again, but this time he didn't land, instead he screamed louder, his voice reaching the highest octaves it could muster. His friends watched horrified as he started glowing and then floating off of the ground. He made choking sounds as the creature lifted the screaming boy's writhing body into the air by the throat.

The creature's tail coiled itself around Danny's body, not touching the skin as it also screamed, the sound coming off in waves. It swept past him and hit his friends, pushing them back before they could do anything to free him.

As the creature's scream ended, he reached for the terrified child's chest, it's hand harmlessly passing through the cloth and skin, reaching for his heart. Danny stared at it with shock as it touched his soul.

Another scream came from him as agony ripped through him, the creature hissing in the same pain as the boy before the glow got bigger and brighter. Fighting the agony though the creature started to go deeper into the boy and finally disappear. The boy still screamed though, his eyes becoming a bright green and his body floated higher.

Then it stopped, the glow and everything. His bright blue eyes closed and he fell to the ground with a soft thud.

"I'm sorry..." Were the words that came out of his mouth before he fully lost consiousness.

This was when it all started.
