Chapter 9
Hey guy's thanks for patiently waiting for chapter 9! I won't hold you back, enjoy! ^_^
Normal POV
Heiji woke, hearing a knock at the door, groaning, he tossed around, trying to go back to sleep, his mother would get it. He heard his mother talking with whoever was at the door. Their voices grew louder and louder, they were coming up stairs, why? The door to his room slammed open, Heiji surprised, sprung from his bed, falling off his bed. Grumbling he looked up, glaring because they interrupted his beauty sleep. However, the glare faltered when he saw his mother's and Kazuha's father expressions, their face held worry and tension. Raising an eyebrow, Heiji looked at both of the adults, waiting for them to say something, it was complete silence in the room.
"Well, are you going to tell me why your in my room looking so anxious?" Heiji said, annoyed. Both adults glance at eachother, Mr. Toyama spoke up first.
"Hattori, have you seen Kazuha?" He asked, the boy was caught off guard by the question.
"No, the last time I saw her was when she was sick, I left early, while she was still sleep, why?" he replied, Mr. Toyama casted his eyes to the ground.
"I was afraid of this."The father sweated nervously, Heiji was feeling the tension in the room growing slowly. The boy wanted to know what happened, or where Kazuha was, now.
"Wheres Kazuha?" He didn't ask, but demanded, Toyama was annoyed by this, he decided to ignore it because of the situation.
"She's missing, its past twenty-four hours." The father started pacing around the bed, worried, so was Heiji.
"I have to find her." The boy picked himself off the ground and started putting jeans and a t-shirt on. Shizuka came in at this point, trying to reason with her son.
"Heiji, you don't have any clues as if some took her, maybe she stopped somewhere. Wait a little longer to go look for her." She said, he knew his mother was right, but he couldn't,no, wouldn't wait for the police, it would take them days and they don't know if Kazuha has that much time.
"I'm the best detective in the Osaka, I'll find clues and find Kazuha." was his only reply as he ran out the door and house, ignoring both the elders calling after him. Heiji began to think, where would Kazuha go? His eyes widened, berating himself, of course she'd probably go to some clothing store! She always shops until she drops, literally, it happened once when Heiji wasn't there to carry the bags. He chuckled silently at the fond memory. The boy was still running, trying to figure out what store the girl could've gone to. He decided to check around the stores closest to their houses, Heiji went into almost every store, asking each clerk if they saw his friend, "No." was each one of the clerk's answers. Dejected, the boy walked around in a daze, seeing a bench not that faraway, he went to rest there.
Not really paying attention to where he was walking, the boy didn't see the store bags in his way, he let out a grunt as he tripped over the bags. Heiji looked up, scowling, he turned around to see what made him fall, it was some bags that had clothes in it, the brand was Forever 21, Kazuha loved that brand. Wait, how could the boy be so sure it belonged to the person he was looking for? He picked the bag up and went to the nearest mall that sold the brand, finally having a clue, he went in the store, asking the the store clerk if she's seen the girl. A middle-aged man, the casher, said he'd regonized Kazuha from last night, she brought some boots and a few clothes, then left. Heiji thanked the casher, then left, going back to the bench. There, he went through the bag, just like the casher said there was boots and some clothes. He putting the bag under the bench, but there was something under it, a cellphone, it was dark green, just like Kazuha's. The boy was beginning slowly growing hope, he'd find Kazuha before they hurt her, he promised himself he'd never let anyone hurt her when he was around.
Heiji opened her phone, checking to see if anything could give him a hint to where Kazuha is, all it said was her friend, Momoe was it? Yeah, it said she called her, Hiro sent her a text,Heiji closed the phone, he shouldn't read it, but what if it had something to do with Kazuha? Then he'd have to read it, if she found out she'd kill him, but Kazuha would only be able to do that if she was alive and safe. Finding his resolve, he flipped the phone open, preparing himself for whatever contents her phone could have. He started reading the text, it said:
To:Kazuha
From:Hiro
I'm sorry to hear that it hasn't been working out, hey want to go out and do something? Maybe it'd take your mind off things. Don't worry about Juro, he won't mind. Text me me back when you get this.
Your friend, Hiro
Wait, he just said friend right? That doesn't make sense, weren't they suppose to be going out? Maybe they broke up, who was Juro? What did Kazuha need to take her mind off of? Heiji cursed, the text didn't help him, it just gave him even more questions with no answers. Thanks to that text Heiji felt like he needed to look around her phone, mostly seeing if any of the texts answered his new questions. After careful thinking, the boy checked the outbox messages. The boy was in complete awe as he slowly read almost all the messages Kazuha sent to her friends, it turns out Hiro wasn't Kazuha's boyfriend; he was taken, with a guy named Juro?
So who does Kazuha like? This was the main question running through his brain. Hold on, there was one last message in Kazuha's outbox, it seemed she sent it before her disappearance. Heiji was determining opening her outbox, but didn't take as much time deciding like before, he already opened her other messages, what would be the difference? She'd already kill him for the amount he read, biting his lip, he opened the text. Heiji looked at the text, scanning everything it said, his mouth gaping as he took in what he just read. The text said:
To:Hiro From:Kazuha
I'm sorry I haven't kept you updated on my love life. Let's just say it hasn't been going to well for me, I screwed up and got Heiji dumped, he got mad at me. It's all my fault I let my small (Big.) crush on Heiji ruin every thing. Okay, enough about me, hows it going between you and Juro?
Heiji read the text over and over again, not believing what he was reading. Kazuha, his child-hood friend, has a big crush on him? He felt his chest tighten, putting his hand on his chest, and squeezing it like it would make the pain he was feeling right now go away. Did he like her too? That would explain why he didn't feel a spark when he kissed Fuki, but felt fireworks when he kissed Kazuha, twice. Maybe. Maybe he does like her back, their feelings may be mutual.
The boy's eyes widen, he needs to find Kazuha, not sit around and think about his feelings for her, yet. He jumped out the chair, but just stood there, trying to think who could've took her, then a light bulb went off. Fuki! She took her, she did say she'd try to get back at her for kissing him, even though it was an accident. Quickly, he took out his phone and called Fuki, as the phone called, he started running toward her house, he'd confront and demand her to tell him where Kazuha is. Fuki picked up after 3 minutes and she said she hated him.
"What do you want?" Fuki barked into the phone, Heiji winced surprised at her out burst.
"I'm sorry, can I come over?" He tried to sound apolgotic, but it was hard knowing that the girl may know where his Kazuha was. His? Heiji liked the sound of that.
