Chapter 1: The Start of a New School Year
She ran. As far as she could. Far from them. She ran from them. Him. Her. How could they do that to her? She thought they understood her feelings! She thought they were her friends...obviously they weren't. If they were, they would never betray her heart like that.
She reached her destination and struggled to find her keys. She became frustrated when she couldn't find them, so she banged on the door. Rushing the person from the inside.
"Olive? What are you-OH MY GOSH! WHAT HAPPENED?" The female asked as she opened the door. Olive ran inside, without her friend's permission and ran to her bedroom upstairs. Her companion rushed in behind her and closed the door behind her. "Olive! What happened?" The girl asked her forlorn relative. But Olive didn't reply. She just cried into her white floral pillow loudly. She was so devastated. How could they? They weren't her friends. She was just their toy, so that they could play her out. They never listened to what she had to say and they didn't value her thoughts. They lied when they said that they were all going to be together forever. They lied when they said they cared for her. They lied. Always. They probably lied when they first met her.
"Nothing Quinn...nothing happened." Olive whispered, once her sobs were able to be controlled. She sat up on her bed an leaned against the wall the her bed was against. Her cheeks were still tear-stained, but the tears had stopped.
"Oh Olive..." Quinn left the room and got some tissue for Olive. She wiped her face. "Tell me what happened...please..." Olive looked at her through half-lidded eyes that were now careless and dull.
"Ok..." She said, barely higher than a whisper. "It all started two months ago..."
"Olive honey, time for school." Olive's mom, Alora, called from downstairs. Olive groaned. Her mother's voice was so loud, you could hear it from Mars. 'But that's impossible. Mars is 35 million miles away in space.' She thought to herself. Maybe if she lay hear for a few more minutes..."OLIVE!" Her eyes snappedd open at her mothers lould scary voice. For some strange reason, her mother had a very deep man voice when furiated. And that's what woke her up that morning...and every morning.
"I'M GETTING UP MOM!" She hollered back. She moved sluggishly as she got out of bed and reached for the bathroom. When she entered she looked straight in the mirror. Her blondie hair was tangled to non belief, she had slobber on her right cheek and crust in her eyes. She groaned.
After she was done in the bathroom, she dressed herself in a orange tank-top, a white floral short sleeved shirt and faded caprise. She was tying the laces to her white converses when her mom announced, "Breakfast is ready!" Olive licked her lips and rushed downstairs. Her mom always made the best food. When she reached the kitched, she could smell the freshly cooked bacon, pancakes, scrambled eggs, peaches, apples, beef sausages, and bananas. She took some bacon, 1 pancake, some scrambled eggs, and an apple. She sat down at her seat at the table. She poured herself some orange juice and ate happily.
"So, Olive...are you excited?" Olive gave her mom a side glance before she closed her eyes and ate happily. She swallowed.
"About what?" She said when she took a bite out of her bacon.
"About High School, silly! It's your first year!" Her mother sang. Olive laughed at her mom's terrible voice. Her mother always knew how to make her laugh.
"So? I was in the A.N.T. Farm just last year!"
"Yeah, but that wasn't High School. You only were in the A.N.T. Farm for 3 years."
"Yeah..." Olive said as she thought to all the crazy things her and her friends have gone through. "And I'm really excited to see Fletcher and Chyna! They're like my siblings!"
"Yes, but now you have an actual sibling on the way." Alora looked down at her 8-month pregnant belly.
"Thanks for the breakfast mom." Olive said as she put quickly washed her plate and got her bookbag.
"Goodbye Olive!" Her mother yelled lovingly.
"Bye mom!" Olive yelled back. Just when she reached the corner, the bus pulled up. She walked in.
"Hey Olive." The busdriver greeted.
"Hey Herbert." She said. As she walked to where her friends where, she didn't notice how, Herbert the busdriver was watching her walk away. She kept on walking until she saw her friends, Chyna Parks and Fletcher Quimby. The exchanged 'Heys and Hi's' and Olive took her seat next to Chyna. Her and Chyna sat in the 2-seater and Fletcher and Angus.
"I felt like I haven't seen you in forever Olive!" Chyna squealed. Olive rolled her eyes. Such a wuss.
"Don't feel like that Chyna. Summer only lasts 92 days,6 hours, 3-"
"Oh, Olive, you haven't changed one bit." Chyna chuckled.
"Yep, my babe is the same way I left her." Angus said smugly. Olive shook her head. She turned her head when she heard Fletcher chuckle. He had grown since they were 11. He was now 5'9 and growing. His hair stayed the same, but his features got harder and his body was STARTING to get the same way. Paranthesis on STARTING! He was starting to get...muscle-ie. Chyna changed also. She started to use make-up eversince last year, but now she's always wearing it. Chyna had also gotten taller, she was now a heaping 5'5 She also started to where high heels. Angus was starting to lose some weight, but not all of it. He only grew by a few inches, so he stayed the shortest out of us all. He was actually 2 inches shorter than Olive and she was 5'3.
"Okay, you little midget." Fletcher joked.
"Hey! I may be short! But I'm not short!" Angus yelled. They all looked at him curiously.
"So, what do you guys have 1st period?" Olive asked.
"P.E." Chyna said.
"P.E., NOOOO!" Angus frowned.
"P.E." Fletcher said.
"Math. Oh C'mon!" Olive cried. "How come you guys have the same first period and I don't!" Olive pouted and crossed her arms. They all laughed at her behavior. They all missed each other and were extremely happy that they were able to reunite after their summer vacations. Chyna went to explore entertainment studios, Fletcher went to Greek and saw museums, Angus went to spend time at the library on the computer, and Olive went to an Educational Summer Camp.
They all had a great Summer and all changed over it due to time. Like Fletcher's love for Chyna started to decrease and he only thought of her as a mere crush. But Angus's crush for Olive started to increase as he thought of her more and more.
"What to do...what to do...?" Angus asked himself as he sat in his living room. He didn't want to watch TV or read a book. He tapped his chin in thought. "OH! I KNOW!" He got his side bag and opened his front door. "DAD, I'M GOING TO THE LIBRARY!"
"BE BACK BEFORE SUPPER!" His father hollered in response. He walked to the library, really paced there, as an idea came into mind. Once he reached the library, he raced up the stairs.
"Hey Ms. Felicia." He greeted the 50-year old librarian.
"Hello Angus." The librarian smiled. She had seen Angus come in here almost everyday now. Eversince, the end of June. Angus walked to the computer that he usual went to and immediately went to work. He tapped into most of the military bases, Area 51 and the unknown Area 52. Soon, he got bored and didn't know what to do. He thought and thought. But what can he do...?
He perked up. He missed Olive so much and wished he was able to see her everyday. He rose an eyebrow. Maybe he could see her...He typed alot of words that would be utterly confusing to a normal human and eventually, he was able to see Camp Mathematical. The camp that Olive went to. He tapped into their cameras and was able to look for Olive. He found her reading a math book filled with equations. He laughed. She was sometimes so predictable. He sat there for hours, rotating or switching cameras just to watch her. She truly did make him happy. He would have to do this again sometime... And he certainly did. Every single day.
"Hey Angus? Angus?...ANGUS?" Fletcher yelled in his ear. Angus fell off of his seat in homeroom.
"Aaaahhh!" He screamed. Fletcher snorted.
"What happened? You were just staring into space." Fletcher was standing over Angus with Chyna at his side.
"Uh..." He didn't want anyone to know that he watches Olive. Because he thought that they would want to watch her to, and he didn't want anyone besides a female to even look at Olive. Fletcher was an exception because they were JUST friends. "Just...thinking."
"CELERY!" Angus shouted. Chyna and Fletcher raised an eye brow. "Gotta go to P.E.. Bye!" He rushed as he packed up his stuff and ran out of the room. The two were stunned.
"When did Fletcher ever think about healthy food?" Chyna asked Fletcher. He just shrugged.
