He Dreamed of Her.
Late at night - alone in his quarters - she came to him. Her touch was both ethereal and tactile. Her hands danced across his body and fluffed his hair. Radek knew, absolutely knew, that Elizabeth did not survive the replicators. At times he even thought he hated Sheppard's team for leaving her there.
Yet he absolutely knew that she continued to visit him. She soothed him at the end of a hectic day, made love to him, talked with him and listened to him.
If Radek were to dare to tell another Expedition member, he'd be laughed back to Prague. So he kept his encounters with her his own. And Radek dreamed of Elizabeth.
She Visited Him
The one thing that allowed Elizabeth to survive the Hell of her early days with the Ashurans was thoughts of Radek, of their time together. She very carefully partitioned those thoughts and memories off.
When her hopes of ascending - even in her replicator form - proved futile, she went to Atlantis often to see her friends. But really, she went to see Radek. He was obviously tired. There was no one to look after him anymore. She ran her 'fingers' through his hair and was astonished when he leaned in to her touch. Perhaps she hadn't lost everything after all.
She sat on the edge of the bed and told him how much she missed him.
"I've missed you, Zlato," Radek sighed.
"How can you hear me, Lasko?"
"We are one, Elizabeth. Not even death will separate us." It couldn't be what they had, but Elizabeth could always come visit him in his dreams.
A/N - Reviews are wonderful! Sugar cookie dough ice cream wonderful!
A/N 2 - Zlato = sweetheart; Lasko ( apparently doesn't accept the accent needed over the 'a') = love.
