Fire

Lily Evans quickly snatched another tissue from the box to blow her nose, with Alice Longbottom looking on sympathetically.

"That's it. You're going to the Hospital Wing." Alice said sternly. Ignoring Lily's protests, she dragged the redhead out of the dorm, into the common room and out the portrait hole.

"Miss Evans!" Madam Pomfrey exclaimed. "What's wrong?"

While Lily crossed her arms stubbornly and fumed, Alice quickly explained that it was just a common cold.

Madam Pomfrey whipped out some Pepper-Up Potion immediately and forced Lily to drink it. She did, and steam started coming out from her ears, giving the startling impression that her head was on fire.

"C'mon Lils, let's go to dinner."

Lily very reluctantly followed Alice down to the Great Hall, and sat down at the very end of the bench, away from all of the other students so that they wouldn't see her.

But then, tragedy struck. Whilst Alice was leaning forward to spoon some peas onto her plate, James Potter caught sight of her, and he let out a melodramatic gasp.

"My dear Flower's head is on fire!" He announced dramatically. "Do not fear, my damsel! I shall save you!"

Lily's eyes widened in horror when she saw James jogging towards her with a jug of pumpkin juice in his hands.

"No, no I'm not on-" Lily shouted desperately. But before she could finish the sentence, James upended the jug of juice over her head. Alice clapped her hands to her mouth in horror. Lily was dripping wet with sticky, orange, juice.

"Potter…" Lily snarled. "You're dead meat." And she whipped out her wand.

James couldn't walk straight for days afterwards.

Hello. This is the start of a few one-shots about the Marauders and Lily. I wanted to do something a bit more light-hearted, because my sister has told me that a few of my stories are depressing.

Anyway, please REVIEW!

Love,

Silvs
