A/C: Just a little one-shot inspired by a tumblr post. Wholock, don't know exactly where it's placed. I've been doing so much original angst lately that it's not too deep. Let me know what you think!
Rated K: Because it's just that inoccent
"Well, you see," the man in a red bowtie attempted to explain to Lestrade, managing to make hand motions even in the hand cuffs. "I was just at the murder scene to investigate! It seems to me that-"
"Investigating without a license or any sort of permission," the Detective Inspector pointed out, pursing his lips as he eyed the man. "I'll ask you again, how did you get in there? The house was completely sealed off with all entrances watched."
"He's not the first person to get into a crime scene under your team's so called 'watchful' eye," a tall man in a trench coat drawled, stepping into Lestrade's office and eyeing the scene with irritation. He nodded slightly at the man in question. "Doctor."
"Sherlock!" the Doctor smiled, lifting his cuffed hands pointedly. "Hello! I meant to stop by but..." Unable to come up with a good reason he simply shrugged, grinning.
"You two know each other then?" Lestrade asked, rubbing his temples between the two geniuses.
"Old friends," the Doctor assured Lestrade, in his perky way.
"Friends?" Lestrade raised his eyebrows.
"Unlock him Detective Inspector," Sherlock hissed in one long breath, ignoring the question. "Thought there was something... unusual about this case."
"Silence, Sherlock," the Doctor agreed grimly, as Lestrade undid his bonds. "That one survivor has no clue what happened? It was Silence."
Standing up to stride out the room Lestrade was left hopelessly behind. "Sherlock, what's going on?"
The consulting detective spun around to face Lestrade, wearing his usual smirk. "The earth is spinning round and round the sun like a little teddy bear and all your team is doing is locking up our only way in solving this case." Without another word the two departed leaving a deeply confused detective inspector.
