Gemma:

There was a constant hammering at the door, "Can't you just leave it?" The young woman asked Adam as he got up out of bed, pulling on certain items of clothing as he walked towards the bedroom door.

"It's probably something important, brigade stuff maybe or they wouldn't still be here," She said as he walked out onto the landing and down the stairs.

"Bloody brigade," The woman muttered.

Adam was living in a flat now, he decided to move out of the Oliver Twist to give Elaine and Recall some space, seeing as Recall seemed to be over at the pub every night now, like he didn't have a home to go to.

"Adam Benjimin?" A male voice asked, as Adam opened his front door, squinting to the light of the outside world. It was something past 8AM and the day seemed reasonably nice.

"Yeah," Adam asked casually.

"I'm DS Henderson, Blackwall CID... this DC Hill. Can we come in?" They asked.

"Uh... yeah... sure," He murmured, standing aside so they could walk in.

He led them through the the living room.

"This isn't about my family again is it 'cause I've made it completely clear to them that I have nothing to do..."

"No... at 3:30AM the London Fire Brigade's D.O. Griggs was found dead is his vehicle... We'd like to ask you for your whereabouts."

Kaz:

"Me?" he asked. "Why? Are you just narrowing down the 2000 suspects to the ones who happen to know people with previous?!"

He knew all too well of how the police chose their suspects.

Gemma:

"We're not saying that at all Mr. Benjimin, as you know Mr. Griggs was well known in this part of London because of the brigade and after hearings due to blame... we just need to talk to everyone that knew him. Your colleagues have or will be questioned as will fire fighters from other stations and any known associates of Mr. Griggs."

Nat:

Sally and Rob were fast asleep when a sharpe knock at the door woke both of the up with a start. They both walked out into the living.

They both looked very sleep and managed to catch the time on the living room clock, it was around 8.15am.

"What the hell is going on?" Sally said very sleeply

"Dont have a clue, but am about it find out" He walked towards the door and opened it. He was met with a tall man and a shorter one dressed in full brigade uniform. Sally's heart fell, Sean? had he escaped? What was going on? Behind them was two police officers

"Mr Sharpe can we come in?" The taller man said.

Rob let them in, "I am Senior Officer Holden and ADO King" Pointing to the smaller one "This is DI Ince and PC Mann, we have some bad news"

They made there way into the living "Miss Fields"

"Hi" Sally was shocked, how did they know who she was and where they lived.

"Right i am sorry to have to break this news to you" Both Sally and Rob looked worried, had something happerned to one of the watch during the night, had someone they cared about died " at 3.30am this morning, D.O Griggs of the London Fire Brigade was found dead in his car"

"You what!" Rob said

Sally almost fell over "You are kidding me?" She hated the bloke, but would never wish this on anyone

"We we would like to ask you both some questions?"

Gemma:

The conversation in the mess stayed on one thing... the death of D.O. Griggs. They all seemed to be reacting differently, some surprising themselves wth their own thoughts.

Coleman was greeted by the police officers, who he talked to in his office. Even Coleman was being interviewed, everyone seemed to be a suspect.

The police weren't saying anything, but everyone felt like suspects... well they were. But they were still innocent until proven guilty.

Nat:

"I can't believe it, i didn't like the bloke but wouldn't wish that on him" Adam said.

The whole mess was quite, and the atmosphere in the mess was one of disbelieve. No-one spoke, each saying what they thought, some good, some bad.

Police officers had visited each of them and Red, Green and White watch during the night. They were all having interviews at police statins, whilst one by one blue watch were being interviewed.

Geoff and Coleman had been interviewed. Sally sat at the end of the table, totally shocked by the whole thing. A loud speaker message startled them all

"Firefighter Fields to the SO's office"

"Right here i go" Sally stood up

"Good luck Sal" Rob said grapping her hand

"Thanks mate" She left for Coleman's office.

Gemma:

Sally knocked on the door to Coleman's office, then opened, "You called Guv?" She prompted, then noticed the police officers sitting at Coleman's desk.

"The officers would like to speak to you again Sally," Coleman said standing up and approaching the door so that the three of them could have some privacy.

"We won't keep you long Ms. Fields," The detective said with a friendly yet scary smile.

Sally nodded slowly and Coleman left the room. Sally sat down on a chair opposite the officers.

"We've been looking over your statement Ms. Fields... things don't quite add up, I'm no mathematician but things really don't fit... You say you were alone that evening... Mr. Sharpe was out 'clubbing', you say you went out to a shop quite late, yet no one can prove you were on the premises."

"Have you checked their CCTV footage? All newsagents have CCTV nowadays..." Sally suggested, feeling slight blame being pushed onto her.

"A uniformed officer checked the building, the CCTV cameras were conviniently switched off," The detective stated.

Kaz:

"Like that's my fault?" Sally knew exactly where the detective was trying to lead with the questionining.

Nat:

"We aren't saying it is Miss Fields, but were just wondering if you were aware of the matter" The police officer said

"No, i wasn't aware of it, i wasn't aware that they were broken" Sally was losing her temper

"Miss Fields you weren't to keen shall we say of DO Griggs, can you tell us why"

That didn't take long to come up she thought to herself??

Gemma:

"In my eyes... in most people's eyes... he was the one responsible for Joe Walker - my fiance and Sicknote - Bert Quigley. Myself and Dan Barratt were also injured. It was during a shout, we were called out to a Chinese Warehouse. It was full of fireworks and other things. Anyway..." She said pausing for a moment, "The building wasn't safe, but Griggs was determined to send a BA crew in... we were sent in... the building collapsed..." Sally paused, trying to easy her breathing.

The officers glanced at each other.

Nat:

"I blamed DO Griggs, i won't denie that i disliked him, but i wouldn't want him dead, that wouldn't help anyone, and i don't have it in me to kill someone, that would be lowering to his level" Sally blutered out

"Miss Fields we are not saying that you did kill DO Griggs we are just trying to establish all the facts here"

She nodded, that was simply what she was doing

"Can you please tell me about DO Griggs involvment with Watch Commader Sean Bateman and the attack on you"

What the hell is this, drag up all my past interview, sally again thought to herself

Gemma:

"How do you know that? And What the hell as that got to do with this?" Sally questioned incredulously, as she fumed, pausing for a moment, "I'm not talking about that now... not now."

Sally stood up and walked out of Coleman's office, closing the door firmly behind her, taking a deep breath before she carried on walking.

Nat:

Sally walked into the mess with tears building in her eyes, she sat down on the chair nearest the door and buried her head in her hands. Her sudden arrival, surpirsed most of the watch, they were all concerned

"Sal?" Rob walked over carefully to Sally

"B*stards" Was her reply

"Hey whats up? What happerned in there"

"All they did was bring up my past, made it sound as if i murdered Griggs, they asked about Joe and the shout and erm... Sean, i just flipped at the i stromed out" Sally had now broken down, Rob was hugging her whilst the other watch members watched.

"Why did they have to bring it up today? Haven't they all heard enough, read my files or something why did they have to bring it up, today of all days" Sally continued to cry

"Sal, what do you mean by today of all days?" Adam asked.

Gemma:

"Today... today was Joe's birthday," She choked, "I miss him so much," She whispered, "Why did they have to bring it up... why today!?"

Nat:

The whole of the watch stood in slient. Rob did know that it was Joe's birthday, but didn't say anything. The others didn;t know and Adam didn;t have a clue as he wasn't here when joe was

"Oh....Sorry Sal, i had no idea?" Adam finally said after and arkward slience

"Don't worry, i would expect you or them to know" Them referring to the police "I just didn't want the reminder today

Rob hugged her. Trying to comfort her friend. The bell disrupted the interviews, and they all ran to the appliance bay, passing the police officers, and Coleman who managed to grap Sally

"You ok?" He asked

"Yea fine, can you tell the police i will speak to them when i get back and explain why" She then ran off.

Rob got the printout

"RTA, Hammersmith Road, car in dangerous position and person trapped, 3 vecihles involved PL only"

The PL crew (Sally, Rob, HiHO, Geoff and Adam) climbed into the PL leaving George and Recall to continue talking to the police
