Sapphire: Story Of A Dragon

Chapter 1

Once upon a time, on a planet called Mobius, there was a dragon kingdom. The king was called Paraguay and his queen was called Venezuela. Their first dragon egg was safely hidden in a room inside the dragon castle.

Paraguay, a black dragon checked on the guards. They were expecting an attack from the southern kingdom, which was a hedgehog kingdom. King Jules and Queen Aleena were enemies with the dragons.

"Anything yet?" asked Paraguay.

"No. Maybe they realized that they can't beat us. Those cowards." the guard, a silver dragon called Mexico said.

"They'll attack when we least expect it." Paraguay said.

Paraguay and Venezuela were about to settle down for the night when one of the guards shouted.

"The hedgehogs are coming! I repeat, the hedgehogs are -," the guard never got to finish his sentence.

Several groups of warrior hedgehogs broke down the door and raided the castle. The king happened to be in one of the groups. King Jules searched the entire castle. He was about to break in the room with the dragon egg in it when Venezuela appeared.

Jules knew that a dragon's belly was armored with tough scales but not the armpits. Jules withdrew his sword and before Venezuela could attack, Jules had cut off her leg. Venezuela roared in pain and Jules took advantage of her distraction and stabbed her in the chest.

King Jules ran into the room and snatched up the dragon egg.

"I got what we came for. Now retreat men, retreat!" Jules said and his army ran off
