"You may kiss the bride."
Enna and Finn embraced and kissed. The crowd burst into clapping and cheers.
"Seven hearts, seven children, seven lives for the married!" Dasha called out with joy.
Razo and Rin gaped at her, then started laughing.
"Seven cats too!" "With seven fleas each!" Razo and Rin added.
Enna was growing on Dasha. She was getting fond of her... What did Razo say? Ah. "Enna-girl's a bothersome, nasty thing you can't help liking." Up front, Enna was crying tears of joy, hugging first Isi, then Finn. Enna the fire-witch... Dasha smiled and shook her head. Fire-witch did not suit Enna, Tira is wrong.
A tendril of heat wrapped around her wrist when she called to it, from Razo beside her. She was tempted to pull it inside and practice her new fire-speaking again, but where could she set the new fire free? She let the heat go, feeling water droplets in the air slowly settle back down where the heat had left. Fire-speaking.
That night at Razo's house, she tossed and turned on her cot, thinking. Heat. Fire. A gasp, as a memory came flooding back to her.
Isi lay unmoving on the floor in front of her. Selia's shrieks echoed in her head. There was the queen of Bayern in front of her. Dead.
She felt Isi's cold arms and realized that she's only just died. Enna sprang into action with an idea to bring her back when Dasha related the news.
"Dasha, make her heart beat with some heat, but not too much. Just a little."
She trembled... "I'm new at this. I can't..."
"Do it!"
Dasha tossed and turned in her cot. No, easy now. It's gone. Selia's dead. Isi is fine. Everyone is out of danger. No more wars. But... what if that happened again? NO. It wouldn't. But... She couldn't just leave Enna to do most of the fire-speaking herself. She'd have to learn to expand her knowledge of fire-speaking. And the answer to that was the tata-rook in Yasid.
