DUDES I HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT I'M DOING BUT YOU SHALL HAVE THINE FEM!CRONA AWESOMENESS.
NOW SHUT UP AND LET ME HAVE MY SAYAXITSUKI SHIPPING CARGO BROUGHT TO THE DOCK.
When Itsuki Tomofusa meets her for the first time, all he can think of is how absurd the entire operation is.
"Good morning, Class Representative!"
He greets her in kind, then helps her up from the floor.
Itsuki Tomofusa does not know what part of this needs an entire town to accomplish.
He notices the ebony of her hair, the pale of her skin, the shine of her eyes, the smile on her lips.
Later he notices her grace as she weaves though the court, dribbling the ball towards her opponents's basket.
Much later he notices the carnage she leaves in her wake.
And then he notices she was always beautiful.
They say freak, he thinks unique.
They say murderer, he thinks guardian.
They say monster, he thinks girl.
They say they're repulsed...
… he thinks he's falling in love.
It's always Fumito-san this, Fumito-san that.
If only she knew. If only. But then he wouldn't know what would happen after she'd find out.
Would she leave? Tear the town to shreds? Have every other living Elder Bairn kill everyone participating?
He wishes he could slap himself.
"It's Saya," he says, and that's all that needs to be said.
But he still doesn't know what will happen if she finds out.
Before he dies, the last thing Itsuki Tomofusa sees is her face.
Maybe, just maybe, he could have had a chance, he thinks as death comes to collect him.
But then again, he's finally had the chance to tell her he really loved her.
And that makes sure that when he turns to rest in the other life, he'll have left no regrets behind. Although, he really would have loved to tell her more things.
Like, "I want to go out with you."
And eventually, if smooth sailing permitted,
"I love you no matter who you are and what you've done.
I love you, Saya."
ALL HAIL BENIGNO AQUINO III, WHO GAVE ME THE HOLIDAY NEEDED TO MAKE THIS SH!T.
seriously.
