"Marry me again."

Three little words. That was all that was said. He could have made it like his first proposal to her, but that would not have seemed right. He could have taken her out somewhere in New York, gone down on one knee, and put a beautiful new ring on her left hand. He could have even taken her to a park, and held her hand while they sat on a bench watching the people walk by. He didn't.

Instead, Aaron just said the three words in a way that was not a demand, but not a question. It was a request. A suggestion. It was not romantic, nor was it "special." They were sitting on the couch in her apartment, reading together. Georgia put down Jane Eyre and looked up at him, her head in his lap. She smiled softly as he ran his hands through her gold curls. She knew him too well to think that those three little words was all he was saying.

'Don't leave me again. I can't do this without you. I've tried, and I'm just no good without you by my side. I will try harder. I will be faithful to you and only you. You have shown me what life is like when it's lived right. I want you to be mine forever, and I want to be yours forever. Please don't tell me no. I don't know what I'll do if you don't become my wife, my forever best friend, my forever lyricist, my forever lover, my forever better half. I can't live without you anymore. I need you with me. I need assurance that you won't leave me, and that you've really forgiven me for letting you go, because sometimes, I still worry that you're still angry. Please, be my wife. We will make it work this time.'

In answer to his question, she pushed herself up and placed a soft kiss on his lips.
