Baltus van tassel watch as his wife sleep, he loved to see her so peaceful and beautiful.

Her long blonde hair was spread across her pillow, her hand tangled in it. He softly stroked her pale cheek, down her jaw and neck. She stirs slightly, but did wake. Baltus smiled, he loved her so much and loved telling her every day. If only he knew what was coming to him because he married her and not only him but is daughter Katrina as well.

He never regretted his first wife Elizabeth's death. In fact he felt the opposite; of course he would never tell anyone that, it would make him look bad. Some people already blamed him for her death. He loved Elizabeth with all his heart, but that was before Mary came to take care of Elizabeth. From the minute she stepped in the house he was bewitched by her beauty.

As he looked at Mary he noticed she looked a lot like his daughter. Her long blonde hair, her sapphire blue eyes and her pale skin.

He hated the way other men looked at her. He knew they told her to leave him, because he was too old for her. She would simple say no and walk away.

Her eyes slowly opened and she gave him a smile. "You're not asleep yet?" she asked and sat up.

"I rather look at you then sleep." He said, stroked her cheeks.

She gave him a small smile; to hide the disgust as her touched her. She had to go out with the Reverend Steenwyck to night, so she was worried he would never go to sleep. "Well you should go to sleep dear, it's late." She said softly and laid back down, facing the wall and covering herself with the blanket.

After what seemed like hours he finally fell asleep and got out of bed. As quick as she could she put on a corset and underskirt put her cloak on and made her way out of the house.
