(I do not own Phantom Stallion. The only thing in this story I own is Faith.)

Her brown ears were tipped forward, catching each and every sound. Lately Faith had been listening for the sound of a BLM helicopter or the trumpeting neigh of her leader, The Phantom. Faith's blue eyes looked around at her herd. The youngs colts splashed in the lake and the mares swished their tails at each other. Faith was one of the only pinto mares. Her patches were white and dark chestnut. Not fun being the new mare. She had escaped from the BLM before they could brand her and give her shots. A sudden squeal and a sharp pain in her side made Faith jump sideways. "Knock it off Hotspot!" Faith snorted before trotting away. The sudden call of a stallion rang in her ears. Phantom was back! 'The' Phantom as he was referred to buy humans. In the herd, his name was Phantom. Faith spotted the silver stallion up on the ridge. The stallion looked down at her before swishing his tail for her to come to him. Phantom half-reared and cantered away. Faith raced up the hillside after him and caught him about to go down a turn. "Phantom wait up!" The stallion skidded to a stop, his brown eyes flashing with concern. "Is Hotspot giving you a hard time?" Faith bobbed her head up and down. "She is. A minute ago, I was just standing there and she bit me!" Phantom shook his head, scattering his forelock into his dark eyes. "She does this to all the mares. Since she is the lead mare, she doesn't want any mares watching over me." Faith blinked before nudging Phantom. "Well her owners are going to find her soon. Should we move the herd for now? We don't want them to find us!" Phantom snorted. "Good point. We may have to leave her behind, I will not risk my herd for one mare who thinks she is all that!" The young pinto nodded before turning away. "Let's get back to the herd. Moon could show up any time."

(Sorry for that short chapter! It is 9:43. I. AM. TIRED!)
