Being Jocasta ~ Chapter 1: New Life
Okay, so this is my new story. I'm actually really nervous to see how this will turn out! It's a prequel to Story of Bella Bachelor, and it focuses on her mother, Jocasta. It starts when she is 17, and I don't know how long it will last. Also, Iqbal Alvi is her brother here. Don't ask, I have a warped imagination. Well I do, but actually once I was stalking google and a page listed Bella and Miraj as being cousins, and I kinda liked that idea, so, babam. Oh gosh, I have that typical paranoid feeling that nobody will like this, but that happened when I released my other two stories. So, let's start this thing!
I rolled out of bed and sighed. Today is my final day of school before my older brother Iqbal and I move to a place halfway across the world called Sunset Valley. I sure am gonna miss everyone. My parents, my other siblings, my friends. I don't know why I am even doing this. Guess that I fancied a change, it does get boring being a 17 year old living in a 15th century manor house with 150 acres of land in the heart of Italy.
After breakfast, I ran out of the house and all the way down the country road, until I reached school. As usual, I was the first one here. Sitting down underneath the old oak tree, I began thinking about my future life. Is my future husband already living in Sunset Valley? What will my children look like? Will I ever see my friends and family again? My train of thought stopped when an apple flew straight into my head. I glared upwards to see my younger brothers, Peter and Edward, laughing their heads off. I threw the apple back at full force and it hit Peter right in the gut. Serves the tyrant too right.
My best friends, Clarissa and Leo, eventually showed up from around the corner. After today I probably won't ever see them again.
'Hi there Jo, how you feeling?' asked Leo, sitting down next to me. I gave an exasperated look at him.
'How do you think? I'm leaving here first thing tomorrow morning.' I groaned.
'Okay, okay. Sorry. It's just, we're gonna miss you. That's all.' Clarissa interrupted. Her and Leo are cousins.
'Yeah, and I'll miss you too. But please don't annoy me, it's our last full day together.'
And what a hectic day it was. All the usual bullies tried to trip us up as we tried to get to our different classes, they still called me the spoilt rich kid and claimed that I must have scrounged money from 'mommy and daddy' in order to be able to move so far away. I eventually snapped, and decided to pay some revenge. After all, they're never gonna hear from me again, so at lunch, I climbed up onto the school roof, joined by Leo and Clarissa, and we all tipped our half-eaten lunch all over their heads, as well as a supersize bottle of water, stolen from the office. To top it all off, we jumped on top of them whilst they were reacting to all the food, before running off.
After school, I gave my friends a massive hug goodbye, and Leo actually kissed me on the cheek! Clarissa handed me a purple gift bag, and inside was a photo frame in the shape of friends, and in each individual letter it had a picture of us. I loved it.
In the morning
It's now time to leave for the airport. I took one last look at my once perfect room, now basically bare. Everything else is either thrown away, in storage somewhere, being shipped over to Bridgeport International, or in one of my suitcases. I really am gonna miss this place. I trekked down the hallway and snuck into each individual sibling's room, giving them a forehead kiss. I then hauled all of my bags into the back of the taxi and then recieved some very long and hard hugs by my parents. Then we were off.
The flight was extremely long and I had two sleeps. We eventually came in to land and I looked out of the window. Wow, the landscape and scenery is very different from Italy.
After the plane landed and we'd collected our bags, including the extremely heavy things that were shipped over a few days beforehand, we climbed into a taxi and away we went. I wound down the window and stared out of it, taking in the surroundings that I now call my home. The taxi was now driving into Sunset Valley, and wow is all I can say. There was a posh little drive that was lined with trees that looks like it leads to some big houses. I read the sign, it said Summer Hill Court. Hmm, snazzy. And here we are, our new house. It's VERY small compared to our house back in Italy, probably the size of my entire room, bathroom included.
Now we were stuck with all this stuff to carry in, one thing at a time per person. I didn't fully trust this place just yet, and was paranoid to leave the bags outside by themselves for even the smallest period of time, but Iqbal told me not to worry. As I struggled to lift a box up, a very good-looking guy started walking over. He must surely be about my age.
'Need any help?' he asked.
'Please, if you don't mind.'
He hauled the box that I was trying to lift over his shoulder and carried it inside. Wow, he's strong. I got a little sidetracked by my staring and was interrupted by another guy, who looked similar to the one inside my new place right now.
'Welcome to the neighbourhood. Guess that's my brother in there right now, huh? His name is Simis, I think he likes you.' he laughed, before running off. I shook my head. Boys these days.
'Simis' walked out of the house, and saw his brother running off.
'Eh, guess you just had an encounter with my pathetic little brother. Ignore him. Oh, I'm Simis, by the way.' he held out his hand and I shook it.
'Jocasta. I've just moved here from Italy with my brother.'
'Nice to meet you. Italy, huh? Wow. That's a long way. How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?'
'Seventeen.'
'Really? Me too! Are you coming to the school in Riverview?' Simis asked, looking hopeful. Well, he looks hopeful to me.
'Yeah, I think I am.'
'Well, if you are, I'll be your tour guide. Anyway, nice meeting you but I have to go before my over-protective dad sends out a search party. See you around, yeah?'
'Sure. Bye.'
Simis then ran down the street, and across the road. His house is right there?! Awesome!
Aaaand, CUT! So, what did you guys think of this? Jocasta in this story is more based on her Sims 2 personality more, but you may see some Sims 3 traits in there too, somewhere along the line. For the record, Jocasta and Iqbal are living where Iqbal lives in TS3 with Miraj and VJ, and Simis and his family are living in the Hart household, before they came to town.
