Being Jocasta ~ Chapter 12: Our Son
We had injections at school today. They were lethal. My arm is still very fuzzy. Also, my dad managed to set his fish tank on fire today. I went into the tiniest detail about in on Twitter.
Several months later
I stared into my newborn son's eyes. Still mine. Besides from that, he looks so much like Simis. Speaking of him, he's away on a business trip right now, but he's coming home early. It isn't his fault for being away, the kid was born a few weeks premature, just like Jessica. Must run in the family. I still haven't decided on a name yet. I'll let Simis choose this time around. I can't remember much of what happened during the labour, but Marie once again helped me out. She must have like a secret signal for when I need help.
Jessica then came parading into the room, her Aunt Marie following. She's still annoying as ever.
'MOMMY! LET ME SEEEEEE!' she squealed a little too loudly.
'Shhhhhhhhh!'
It was too late though, as the baby started crying. I quickly picked him up and calmed him down, before Marie lifted Jess up to see. She clapped her hands in delight.
'Hello. I'm your big sister. You're my little brother.' she announced. I laughed. She's a funny kid.
A day later
We're bringing Michael home. That's what Simis decided to call him. As we were unloading the car, Cornelia walked past, a baby in her arms. Little Lolita Goth, born the other month. She looks a lot like her dad.
'So, here's your new kid! He's adorable!' gasped Cornelia, coming over. Baby Lolita gurgled and tried to reach out for Michael. She was prised away.
Once Michael was brought inside, Jessica started causing a fuss because he was going to have HER crib. Why should it really matter? Kids these days.
Later on, once the kids were in bed, Simis grabbed my shoulder and turned me around.
'Have I ever said how much I love you?' he whispered, pulling a strand of loose hair and tucking it behind my ear.
'Plenty of times.' I laughed.
'Well, don't ever forget that. I'm so proud of you for going though all that pain to deliver our children to the world.'
'I love you so much.' was all I could say, smiling.
Simis held me closer to him and kissed me softly.
Later that night, we were sat on the sofa snuggled close to one another. Then, we were interrupted by a baby crying. Oh, Michael. Why do newborns always wake up at the awkwardest times?
Groaning, I stood up and made my way upstairs. Jessica was stood outside her door, rubbing her eyes.
'Mommy, will Michael always do this?' she complained.
'You did exactly the same, but for quite a few months he will. You'll have to get used to it, okay?'
'Okay, I'll try.'
I continued my voyage up to the top floor and entered the room. Michael's crying stopped as soon as I came into view.
'Hey there, my boy. Wanna go down and see daddy?'
I picked him up and brought him back downstairs. Simis was automatic in holding his arms out.
'I think he just wanted attention.' I smiled, heading into the kitchen to make a bottle.
Simis POV
I gazed dreamily as Jocasta made her way into the kitchen. She's just so beautiful. I redirected my view to Michael, who was staring up at me with gleamy brown eyes. Exactly the same as Jocasta's. She keeps saying that he looks so much like me, but I think he looks more like her. Just like Jessica. But who cares, he's still my son who I love dearly, along with Jess. I have such a beautiful family.
I have serious writer's block and it's coming in fast. Not to mention that my crappy phone is refusing to accept incoming texts again. And that's usually when I get the most messages. Hmm, I might ask if I can get my new phone sooner rather than at Christmas. It's probably gonna be the Sony Xperia U.
