Michelle pulled the car into the driveway and put it on park. She had her annoyed look on her face. She sighed heavily with frustration, trying not to let it show. She glared at Godot who was sitting next to her.
"You made me drive twenty minutes and waste gas, which is $3.49 here, by the way, to come right back to The Oyster bar?!"
Godot smiled evilly again.
"I needed some excuse for you not to ignore me."
"I'm so stupid, I should've left you here, bitch."
"Hey, don't go getting all pissed with me!" His eyes locked on hers. "You haven't talked to me since yesterday. You wouldn't look at me if it weren't for this."
"Godot, I just…"
"Michelle?" Boo walked outside, wiping her hands on her pleated jeans. "I thought you were just dropping me off…?" Boo noticed Godot and then hid her laugh with a smile. "I'll just leave…"
"No!" Michelle seemed desperate, Boo could tell. Godot got out of the car.
"What's that?" he pointed to some greenish substance on Boo's hand and jeans.
"Don't ask."
"Just did"
"Justin was making his 'Saturday sandwich special'" Boo quoted with her hands. "Again…"
Michelle put on a face.
"I told you not to ask…"
Boo's voice trailed off as she faced the other direction and walked inside to immediately start working again. Now there was an awkward silence-just like the pointless twenty minute drive before. Godot looked at her. She flashed a glance, and then turned away, bright red, knowing he saw her looking at him.
"What were you gunna tell me?" Godot asked.
Michelle was never good with awkwardness…she put the car in drive, and drove far away from there.
A few seconds later Boo walked back out. She rolled her eyes at her male manager who came out and threw in two bags of garbage into the huge garbage bin.
"Time to garbage jump!"
