Heroes of Universes: Crash Bandicoot

(I'm re-uploading this story; I took it down the first time to work out a few things. But now, it's back and an extra character, an OC based on myself. Each game will be shown in an arc. E.g. the first game is the first arc, the second game is the second arc and so on. You'll get it.)

Summary: Crash and his friend, Alicia, narrowly escape from Dr Cortex's castle and need to head back there to bring him down. Around the same time, Maverick and Reala land in Crash's universe. Their arrival starts many adventures with the two bandicoots.

Pairings: Crash/OC, Later Maverick/Coco and Reala/Nina

Chapter 1: Arc 1 Part 1

The two bandicoots made a run for it; Crash and his friend, Alicia, had been rejected by the Cortex Vortex and were both running away from Dr Neo Cortex, who was trying to capture them. The two both hid nearby in one of the hallways and backed up against the wall.

"Do you see him anywhere, Alicia?" Crash asked. Alicia poked her head out to look for Cortex and smiled. "No, I think we lost him, Crash." Alicia responded. Crash smiled at this and sat down on the floor while Alicia followed.

"That's good. He'll never be able to find us here." Crash commented. "I don't think we should be so sure, Crash. After all, he does want us to lead his army." Alicia explained. Crash nodded; he knew she was right.

"What is up with that man sometimes? I'll never be able to understand him." Alicia said. Crash was about to agree, when Cortex suddenly poked his head in to see them. "There you are, you two!" Cortex said. Alicia and Crash looked up to see him and were alarmed.

"There he is again! Run, Alicia!" Crash called. With this, the two both started to make a run for it again. As Crash looked behind him to make sure they lost Cortex, Alicia noticed that they were coming towards the window.

"Crash, look out!" Alicia called. "What?" Crash asked, turning his head to see what was going on. But then, the two smashed through the window and found themselves directly in mid-air.

"Uh-oh. Hold on, Alicia!" Crash said, and the two plummeted down towards the ocean. Alicia immediately held on tight to Crash; she didn't want to be separated from him.

"Do you think this could have been better, Crash?" Alicia asked. "Well, I wouldn't have preferred to stay in that place, so I'd say that's a yes." Crash responded. The two both looked down to see they were nearing the ocean; little did they realize that everything would change from that night onwards...

Meanwhile in the One Winged Angel's household, Reala opened the door to Maverick's room; Maverick had asked for Reala to see him in his room. Reala came in and noticed Maverick sitting at his desk. "Could you lock the door, please, Reala?" Maverick asked. Reala closed the door behind him and came over to the desk where Maverick sat. Maverick spun his chair and smiled to see Reala.

"I'm glad you could make it, Reala." Maverick said. Reala got down on his knee and bowed his head. "You wanted to see me, Master?" Reala asked. Maverick looked down at Reala and just happily shook his head.

"Yeah, I did. Could you stand up, Reala? You're making me nervous doing that." Maverick said. Reala immediately stood up and looked at Maverick to see him smiling.

"I want to show you something, Reala." Maverick said. "What is it?" Reala asked. Maverick just smiled at this and started walking to the attic.

"Follow me, and I'll show you." Maverick responded. Reala immediately followed Maverick to the attic and Maverick closed the door behind them. "This is something I've been working on for the past few weeks, Reala." Maverick explained, and showed Reala what looked like a machine. "Do you like it, Reala?" Maverick asked. Reala looked at it for a few seconds, and then looked back at Maverick.

"Master, what is it?" Reala asked. "I thought you might ask. I call it the 'Universe Warper'. I know, it's a bit of a lame name, but the actual thing is far from that. Once I have it working, we'll be able to travel into the universes of video games!" Maverick explained. Reala was impressed, but then he was confused about something.

"How do we get it working, though?" Reala asked. "You know, I haven't worked that out, yet." Maverick responded. As he looked at the machine in confusion, Reala looked to notice Maverick's video game library. He headed in and got out Maverick's Crash Bandicoot game. As he snuck past Maverick into the machine and took the disk, he noticed what looked like a CD slot and slipped the disk in.

"I think I worked out how to activate the machine, Master!" Reala called. Delighted, Maverick followed Reala in. But then, he noticed that Reala was holding his Crash Bandicoot game case. Immediately snatching it away, Maverick opened it to see the case was empty.

"What the...? Reala! Did you use of my Crash games?!" Maverick asked. Reala turned around to notice that Maverick was upset and started to back away in worry; he never liked when Maverick was mad at him.

"Master, let's not get worked up. The machine's not on, so we should be all right." Reala explained, trying to calm Maverick down. Unfortunately, Reala didn't watch where he was going and accidently pressed the button to turn the machine on. As the machine started shaking, Maverick looked at Reala with annoyance.

"Reala, if we make it out of this alive, I'll make sure that you don't touch anything dangerous again." Maverick said. The machine flashed in many different colours for a few seconds before vanishing.

On N Sanity Beach, Crash and Alicia both got up to see that it was morning and they had been washed up on the shore. "Are you okay, Crash?" Alicia asked, looking at Crash to make sure.

"Yeah, I'm all right. I have to admit, that was a better landing than I expected." Crash responded. Alicia nodded in agreement, but then the two turned around to see that there was someone hiding in the bushes.

"Who do you think that is?" Crash asked. "I'm not sure. Let's go find out." Alicia responded, and started to head over to the bushes. Though he was uncertain, Crash followed after her. Alicia poked her head in to see Maverick and Reala hiding there. "Hello. Who might you two be?" Alicia asked. Maverick immediately jumped in alarm and he and Reala stood up to face the two bandicoots.

"You aren't going to hurt us, are you? We are on your side, after all." Maverick said. Alicia was surprised, but then she started laughing while Crash came over to see what was going on.

"Of course not. We would never do that." Alicia responded. Crash noticed Maverick and Reala and was surprised. "Who might you two be?" Crash asked.

"My name's Maverick, and this is my partner, Reala. You could say that he is always with me." Maverick explained. "So, to put it bluntly, you're Reala's master, Maverick." Alicia said. Maverick was surprised that Alicia worked it out.

"How did you know?" Maverick asked. "It was just a guess." Alicia responded. Crash happily started laughing, while Reala shook his head annoyed. After Crash calmed down, he looked to face them.

"Anyway, we're getting off topic a bit. My name's Crash, and this is my friend, Alicia." Crash said. Alicia waved to the two, while Maverick looked at her, confused.

"I don't remember seeing you." Maverick commented. "I've always been here. I guess you just never noticed me." Alicia said. Maverick figured that must be the case; she must have always been there and he just never saw her.

"What are you two doing out here?" Reala asked. "We both escaped from Cortex's castle, and we must have somehow ended up out here." Alicia explained. "We're going to head back there to teach Cortex a lesson." Crash added. Maverick and Reala looked at each other; they knew what Cortex was capable of.

"Are you two out of your minds? Have you seen what Cortex can do?" Maverick asked. Crash and Alicia looked at each other; they both knew very clearly.

"Actually, I can say we have. We tried to make us the leaders of his army, and he wants us dead as well as world domination. And we're not going to let him get away with that. What do you two say?" Crash asked.

Maverick looked at Reala in concern. "I don't know about this, Reala. Crash does have a very good point, but I'm worried of what Cortex could do to us as well." Maverick explained.

"Master, you've done this many times. You know well that Cortex never wins. And since this is reality, we need to stop him and his plans." Reala said. Maverick thought about it to himself and then smiled; he knew Reala was right. With that, he turned to face Crash and Alicia.

"If Cortex thinks he can get away with that, then he doesn't know what's coming for him. Let's go give him what he deserves!" Maverick said. Crash and Alicia were both delighted by this; that meant they had two extra hands to help them stop Cortex.
