A.N.: Okay, let's get this started! This is a holiday story that I'm starting now rather than closer to Christmas. Each chapter will be from a different character's POV. ALSO, I'm using Matt Guion's top ten ways to bump up your NaNoWriMo word count tips! Please review!

Keith's POV

Jessica and I were sitting underneath the stairwell listening to music during a free period. I'd just finished a rough copy of an album and wanted her to hear it. No making out, if that's what you were thinking. Just sitting there listening to music.

Suddenly, there was a large thump. I looked into the hallway to see Lisa.

"You okay, Lisa?" I asked. She smiled brightly.

"I'm great, Keith! Actually, I'm greater than great! It's the holidays!"

Lisa has always had her whole life centered on three things: music, friends, and family. The one time all three come together is Christmas. Ergo, she spends all year preparing for it. I always wondered what crazy scheme she'd plan. This year in particular, since she's being so secretive about it.

I turned of the music.

"What was that- oh, hey, Lisa, what's up?" Jessica asked. I smiled.

"It's almost Christmas!" Lisa sang. I swear, she sounds more like Kristen Chenoweth every year.

"So, what's the plan?" Jess asked.

"I'm not sure yet! I have twenty-seven ideas, and only time for ten! How can I cut off seventeen ways to celebrate?"

"Do you need some help?" I offered. After all, help is my middle name. Okay, technically, it's Francisco, but that's irreverent.

"Would you? Could you?"

"If you stop sounding like a Dr. Seuss book, yes," Jessica said. Lisa did the Cheno note. Ow.

"You guys are the best!"

"I've been told that."

Yes, snarky, but it's amusing. Jessica laughed, at least.

"Hello, comrades in magical powers! Hath thou seenth Annie? I hasth been looking for the fair maiden since the beginth of this fair morning!" said Danny.

Danny's in Hamlet again, which means he only will be talking Shakespearean for the next three months. It's kind of annoying, but no big deal or anything. Everyone gets used to it.

"No, sorry," Jessica said, "Why are you looking for her?"

"A fine question, you young, intrepid girl! However, I shall never give an answer! What Annie and I haveth planned for your brother shall remain under lock and key until the day I die!"

We all stared at him.

"I just revealed to thou what tis going on, have I not?"

"Yep!" Lisa said.

"Then, I shall never tell thee what I plan to do to him with a Smurf costume and a Barney soundtrack! That tis certain!"

Poor Danny.

"I think I saw Annie in the courtyard," I offered, trying to make him feel less foolish.

"Thank you, my fine sir! I owe you a debt of gratitude! And now, I shall be off! Farewell, my friends!" He exited stage left.

"Well, this should be interesting," Jessica said, "Who wants to warn Hector?"

"Nah, just let him figure it out on his own. It can't be worse than the time Francine tried to dip me in chocolate, right?" Jessica smirked. Sadly, I went into flashback mode.

It was a cold December morning, and I was about to go to school. I walked out the door, and spat! I was covered in chocolate. It only got onto my head and neck, thank God, but I was still in shock (no pun intended). By the time I got inside, it was completely hardened. I had to take another shower and do over my entire morning process. Needless to say, I was incredibly tardy that day.

"Hello? Earth to Keith? SNAP OUT OF IT!" Jessica yelled in my ear. I shook my head like a wet dog.

"Sorry. Flashbacks. They just take over, you know?"

"Yeah, whatevs."

The bell rang.

"Shoot, it's algebra," Jessica muttered, "I'll see you guys later, okay?"

"Alright. See you in English," I told her. She nodded.

"Meet you guys at the diner?" Lisa asked.

"Sure," I said.

"Of course!" Jessica added. We all went to our separate classrooms.
