The Great Journey
Prolog
The sun was setting behind the clouds of the world. A spaceship was waiting for the signal to leave the station of the royal castle. A young adult with a hood over his head was watching the crew board the ship. An old man started to walk to his side. "The spacecraft is ready for your approval sire," said the old man. "Thank you Mason," said the young king "It's been too long since you came back, things have changed." "I can tell sire," said Mason too much darkness has consumed the planets over your reign." The king look back at Mason, hoping he already knew what he was about to say. "I'm worried about the kingdom mason, the clone world has decided to leave the kingdom and become its own ruler." "That does not mean it's bad," said Mason "it is natural for a leader wanting to rule his own planet, he does have the right to do so." Looking up at the sky he continued. "He can rule over his own kingdom, just as a wolf has the right to lead his pack. But I agree, not in the sense that they have left, but how they have started to slowly accept a small amount of the darkness." The king started to speak but decided not to. "I can tell you're worried about the prophecy," said Mason. "How did you know that?" asked the king. "I know a lot of things about you sire," said Mason, "I know that you are worried because there has been more evil striking planets, I know that you're worried because the darkness almost attacked this world." He continued on, "Don't hold on to those worries my liege, they will only weaken your heart and let darkness come through." He looked at the king right in the eyes and said, "Even the purest of light can be lead into darkness." "Mason will you promise me something?" asked the king. "Of course your majesty," said Mason. "If you find even one of the messengers, bring him to me." The king looked back at the ship. "I don't want any more suffering to overcome those who matter in this journey of life." "Yes sire," said Mason. A loud alarm sounded announcing that the spaceship would be leaving soon. "I will be back eventually my liege," said Mason. "I know" said the king. Mason walked to the door leading down stairs. "Oh and mason?" asked the king. "Yes?" said Mason. "Call me by true name please," said the king. Mason smiled back to him. "Of course …. Spark."
