Disclaimer: Not the owner of the CFT. Not getting paid for any of this sappy nonsense.
Summary/Warning: Very sappy little poem I wrote while standing in line at the grocery store (long line) about Tarrant and his change from bad to good. Hints at relationship between him and Damien, but not much else. Just a sappy bit of fluff I figured I'd post out of sheer boredom and the desire to see how many people's eyes I can possibly force to melt in their skulls by such poor poetic nonsense. This is the kind of drivel that is only enjoyed by those like me who just wish and wish and wish that there was more to the Gerald/Damien relationship. You have been warned…
Near a millennium has passed,
My soul darkening, changing with the years,
Since that night of Sacrifice
I have no use for human tears.
Silver eyes set gazing out
Certain as the setting sun,
My heart on wings of blackness flies
Seeking always, finding none.
Keeping to the Forest's draw,
I find my pleasures in the Hunt,
But what once fed immortality
Feels conspicuously absent.
What is this thing you would have me be
That lives and loves and feels?
You cannot save a soul so damned,
So lost in what the dark conceals.
I hurt you. I betrayed you.
Yet you came back and back again.
You saved me from my own perdition…
Restored me to the world of men.
How could you do this to me?!
With your strength and faith so strong?!
So that I could not help but love you,
And I have…all along.
End note: I'm melting, I'm melting! AAAAAaaaaaggggghhhhh! Gurgle…bleh…
