Summary

Life was perfect for the gladers. No wicked, no Right Arm, no cranks, nothing, but R &R. Until a stranger dressed in black was found in the woods baring a strange message..Soon after the message was delivered, all hell breaks loose and their paradise is broken. Thomas, Minho, and Brenda soon awaken in a strange place with no idea of how they got there. They soon realize that an organization named R.A.G (Rise Against the Government) kidnapped them and destroyed their paradise. But it wasn't all in vain. The three gladers soon learned that everything they had gone through- the scorch, the maze, and even watching their friends die was all a lie. Everything was faked, Right Arm didn't exist and everything they went through was just for an experiment to see how humans would react to another end of the world scenario. Everything they went through was a simulation done by Wicked and Wicked was not done with them yet…

With this news, Thomas, Minho, and Brenda were rehabilitated into the real world. They were adopted by the same people who "saved them" (in order to keep an eye on them and protect them from Wicked). They soon learned about the real world and how the world really was. Their new lives were perfect again. But Wicked wasn't going to leave them alone forever…
