Bloodess

I shuddered as the eyes of the court locked on my body. I hated this building. The glass windows were tinted red and made the room look like a blood-bath. The stone walls were black and connected into an archway with the opposite side of the blood room.

"Princess Nina Ruby Yamada" I physically twitched, nobody called me by my full name unless it was an urgent crisis or I had done something bad.

"Yes" I replied in a cold, lifeless voice. I lifted my head slightly to get a better view of the tall man floating in front of me. My podium was about 2 stories high, allowing others to see easily and for myself to feel alone.

"At you 10th birthday, your father gave you a deadline, did he not?"

"Yes, he did"

"And did you abide by it?"

"No I did not" The silence of the room was cut by the whispers and murmurs of the jury. It was true though, at my 10th birthday party my father announced I had until my 15th to find my 'Mate' as they called it. Everything about my race was shunned by the others. Being a common vampire meant that you were the lowest thing to appear in the Magical Realm, but being a royal vampire meant you were to be feared and treated with respect. I was the latter.

Many other life-forms existed in out Realm of Magic. Children of the moon, folk, forest, sea, sun, and day lived on this hunk of rock.

Moon children were the werewolves. Folk children were the fairies. Forest children were elves. Sea children were the mermaids who ate male flesh, such a nice race. Sun children were humans, and Day children were wizards and witches.

"Princess Yamada"

"Yes?"
"Are you aware of the bond we have, that keeps our people safe?"

"Of course" I raised my left eyebrow; I doubt he would've seen it though. I was forced into a posh black dress that had ruffles at the bottom and lace decoration the top half. My mother, Queen Yamada had told me to wear black stilettos but instead I wore pink and green sketchers. Hehe!

"Well, it appears to be crumbling as we speak. The day children are becoming quite agitated with our kind, but have given us a simple way to test each other's loyalty" Even though his hood shadowed his face, I was 100% he was smirking at my misfortune.

"What kind of deal?" I growled which made the jury nervous. I could hear their pulses quicken. I didn't blame them, If I were them, I'd be afraid too.

"A marriage"

"I see" I waited until looking back up to the cloaked man. He gave off a vibe that made my black blood boil, "May I ask who proposed this idea?"

"Of course, the day prince"

"And who is this Day Prince?"

"Zero Detorius"
