Quick note, this is not the first story chronologically of Zane, I plan to write the prequel after I finish this story. This takes place two years after the events of Shining Star, the Solar Warrior, which is the prequel I have to write.

Chapter 1: The Star Returns

Juniper Lee was fighting Antonio Hossi in a ruined city. June wanted to revenge the apparent death of her boyfriend, Zane Hossi. Antonio, using the power of Aku, was able to overpower Zane and almost kill him. The only way he survived was the fact a red hawk landed in front of Zane's heart and took the blow for him. As the bird was struck, a spirit came to Zane, his father Ryusei. Ryusei told Zane that Antonio has walked into the dark but can still find the way out of it, much like how he was able to with the help of June and Lazlo. Ryusei also told his son that he is proud of him and is going to watch him from above now since he sacrificed the hawk to save Zane. His soul now at rest, Ryusei left Zane who was in the ocean when he awakened. The white haired warrior crossed seas to find his master, The Scotsman. The two trained for two long years, with Zane growing out his hair and gaining a scar on his right arm.

Antonio was able to overpower June quite easily, not even using the power he was given by the demon Aku. He was about to finish her off when a cloaked figure appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, with an orange sword with the kanji for hope on it. His hood was on over his head so June couldn't see his face, but Antonio could and was shocked to see it. He stepped back and stumbled. He couldn't believe his eyes. The hooded figure took off his hood to reveal it was Zane.

"Zane, you're alive, I thought we lost you!" June said, trying to hold back tears.

"Zane?! This wasn't supposed to happen, I-I have to replan my strategy." Antonio said running away from the scene.

Zane just stood there, letting his brother escape. He thought of how he could save Antonio from the darkness in his heart. He then noticed June on the ground, about to cry. He slowly walked towards her when she jumped and hugged him.

"I thought you were dead, don't ever do that again!" June said, with tears going down her face.

"I'm sorry June. I had to leave, but I'm stronger now and I won't disappear again, I swear it." Zane said, holding June in his arms.

Antonio was looking for the blue demon, Demongo, in a different part of the city. Both Demongo and Antonio wanted Zane dead for he is one of the few that could seal away their master, Aku, when he was resurrected from the Divine Realm. The demented brother of Zane was able to find Demongo waiting for him at a rundown Frenzy Burger.

"You were right Demongo, Zane really is alive. I highly miscalculated the situation this time."

"Do not be saddened by this fact boy. Now you can make sure he's dead this time when you kill him." The blue demon told his servant.

"What of Aku's return? He has two weeks to gather the Power of the Souls and the Power of the Darkness. He can get them in two weeks."

"Boy, as long as I have the Power of the Souls, Zane will never get to steal it. That is why Demongo is great and the perfect servant for Aku. Anyway, you know your next mission; and make sure that the Seed of Hades is consumed by him." Demongo said.

"Fine, though I don' know why we have to even do this." Antonio mumbled so that Demongo couldn't hear him.

Zane and June were now at the always exciting Cul-De-Sac talking with "King" Eddy and Double Dee. They were discussing how to protect the area when something major was going to invade. They agreed on a plan that would put Thingamajig cannons all over the walls, ready to shoot fusion spawns one after the other. After that productive decision to help boost the defense of Zane's home, Zane and June decided to head on out to Bravo Beach and spend some time catching up.

The two arrived at the same place that they first met and became a couple when the stars were out, Zane told his story to June about how he survived that battle with Antonio two years ago, training with the Scotsman, how he got his scar on his right arm, and how he was able o find her. June was amazed at this story, impressed that Zane was able to make it through all that. The two continued to look at the silver stars in the night sky. Zane had his arm around June's shoulder while she rested her head on Zane's. The two smiled and began laughing like the old times.

Demongo was now at a temple that had the container that held Aku. He looked at the box and began to laugh. Their plan was about to come to full intuition and destroy the world. Demongo was two weeks away from resurrecting his master. He took the box and erupted in blue flames and left.

Antonio was at Hero's Hollow waiting for the person he had to force to consume the Seed of Hades. He was sitting on a crate that had a box of ice in it. His crimson eyes were staring at the horizon, waiting for the person he summoned to arrive. Antonio knew that he couldn't decline because he was an honorable warrior and he wouldn't say no to an honorable battle. The brother of Zane was thinking of what would happen when Aku was free, he would finally live in a free world, live like the clouds in the sky. As these thoughts ran wild in his head, someone had arrived and stopped in front of him. Antonio took out his sword, Destiny Cloud.

"It was nice of you to come all this way, just to lose to me." Antonio said standing up.

"Never underestimate a swordsman young one." The mysterious figure said, taking out his sword.

"I wouldn't underestimate me either, especially you…Samurai Jack."

Jack and Antonio then began to clash swords. The battle of two strong warriors has begun now. Fate will tell who wins and if Jack will eat the Seed of Hades. These two's fighting spirits were fighting to the limit o find out who would be the stronger willed fighter. In the end though, only one can win and claim victory.
