"Dimitri, what is your opinion on children?"

Dimitri scowled, not bothering to look up from his newspaper. "They are whiny, snotty little urchins that can't shut up. Disgusting is what they are."

Anya smirked, amused at her husband's behavior. "And why is that?"

"They have no manners!"

"And you do?"

Dimitri blushed. "Well, that's besides the point. Children are rude, obnoxious, selfish things."

"Sounds like someone I know."

"Will you quit that? My life is already tormented enough without your condescending."

Anya giggled, and sidled up to Dimitri, wrapping her arms around him. He tried shaking her off in annoyance, but gave up when she only tightened her grip in response.

"Well, what if they were our children?" Her voice was right next to his ear, warm and sweet.

"It doesn't change anything," Dimitri grumbled. "They will still be annoying and gross. The only difference is that they will be drop-dead gorgeous, which they would get, of course, from their father."

"So you're in favor of children?"

"Absolutely not- regardless of who's children they are, my opinion of them still stands."

Anya laughed, and laid a kiss upon her husband's cheek.

"Well, too late!" she chimed. "You have seven more months to change your mind."

Quick as the devil, she dashed upstairs, leaving Dimitri downstairs in confusion, his mind processing just what he had heard.

"WHAT?!"
