Life was hard, love was harder. Living the way others expected for so long, finding happiness and losing it; no one ever said life was fair. But then neither was love, she knew that, and understood it; it was the reason she was willing to wait.

Understanding what one wanted, needed was hard, especially when it fell outside the norm. It is as unique as each person, sexuality, passion; desire.

Time was fluid, and so was love, it was to easy to step back and let it slip away. Yet sometimes time to heal, to mend and to accept; to wait on love. It came of friendship, trust and honesty, it was a challenge and it required forgiveness.

To watch someone come into herself, accept loss and accept their own desire; and share it. To learn with them, share with them and find a common ground; it was new and special. It was love.
