Ivan and Bartok sat side by side in Ivan's room they had been there since sun down after Ludmilla had been vanquished Ivan sat on his bed hugging his knees to his chest not a word had been spoken between the two, just then something occurred to Bartok something startling.

"Ivan… were are your parents?" Bartok asked Ivan looked at his new little bat friend curiously

"My father's away on business and my mother is visiting my great aunt Sophie and Uncle Vlad why?" Ivan asked

"Because you almost died today shouldn't they know about it?"

"I guess," Ivan, said shrugging as his messy bangs fell into his eyes

"I'll probably just get lectured about how my safety was jeopardized and as the future Czar I must be more careful" Bartok felt sorry for his new friend Just then they heard a very familiar voice.

"Ivan?" Bartok quickly found a place to hide.

"In here Mother!" Bartok watched as Anastasia came running in franticly Dimitri behind her

"Oh Ivan are you alright?" Anastasia cried grabbing her son in an embrace,

"I'm fine Mother" Ivan said

"You sure son?" It was Dimitri who spoke keeping his distance for the moment.

"Yes sir, I'm not hurt at all… how did you find out so quickly?" Ivan asked

"Vol rode out immediately and told us the news," Anastasia said sweeping the boy's bangs out of his eyes. Ivan cringed

"Gave us quite a scare" Dimitri said

"I'm sorry," Ivan, muttered Anastasia squeezed her son tightly and cried; Bartok smiled at the boy who resembled his father, Rasputin was long dead, Ludmilla was gone and Bartok knew no matter what happened Ivan would be safe.

I just watched Bartok the Magnficent for the first time to day and through out the entire move I was thinking, ok... Anastasia and Dimitri are going to run in right... NOW! Ok... NOW! DANG IT KID WERE ARE YOUR PARENTS!? Please Review.
