"See anything interesting,little brother?",asked Doubar, walking upto Sinbad who had been staring quite some time through Firouz's magnoscope.

"There's a boat up ahead. Just like ours. I'm trying to see if I can recognize the captain"

Doubar shielded his eyes from the afternoon sunshine.
"You'll need a magnoscope ten times more powerful to catch a glimpse of anything in this blinding sun"

Maeve joined the two brothers and looked out as well.
"I think I can help you two-", she said with a smile.

"A little magic is always welcome", said Sinbad, lowering down magnoscope.

Maeve frowned a little and directed her hands at the space of air before them. Suddenly a ring of fire appeared and revealed an extremely close view of the distant ship!

"Woah! That's amazing!", cried Doubar, rushing for a closer look. "I didn't know you could do this,Maeve"

"Just a few recent spells I've learnt", replied Maeve, glowing with pride. "The book gave a spell to open a window in water.. I improvised"

"Nice work!", cheered Sinbad. "Now let's have that look see-"

Three heads peered into the fiery ring.

"Seems to be the captain of the vessel", remarked Doubar, after a while."Doesn't look like there's anyone else aboard"

"That's strange"

"Do you recognize him,Sinbad"

"No.. Not anyone I know.. Wait, there's a girl onboard as well"

"They both look very young"

"What is he doing?"

The tiny figures strolled from one end to the other end of the ship. The man and the woman halted at last at the stern. They turned and hugged each other tight.

Maeve reddened and looked away.

"A little privacy,guys", she hinted."We don't own the entire sea-"

"Hey, I wasn't planning on-", began Sinbad. Suddenly he gave a shout. Doubar drew back as well.

"What?", asked Maeve,in surprise.

"He pushed her in"

"What?"

"The girl.. the one on the deck.. he.. he pushed her into the sea.. She went right in.. He's killed her!"
