"Bit of a warning, he might be a bit... horrible. He doesn't mean it though." Tom led her to Dougie's hotel room.
They were greeted by Danny running around like a loon and Harry looking beyond stressed. Dougie was lying on his bed, looking awful.
"You feeling better Doug?" Tom asked cautiously.
"Do I fucking look ok?!" Dougie snapped, and Hailey winced, getting what Tom and Danny meant.
"Here's your water, Doug." Danny handed him a glass of water.
"Took you long enough." Dougie grumbled.
"Stop being a bitch." Harry snapped at him.
"Would you like to be ill?" Dougie glared at him.
Hailey couldn't help but giggle.
"This is nothing, he can turn into a sassy little motherfucker sometimes." Tom mumbled, making her giggles worse, because, let's face it, Tom wasn't the type of guy to say things like that.
"It's too warm in here!" Dougie groaned.
"I'll go turn the A/C up!" Danny leapt to the job. He had truly turned into Dougie's bitch. Harry rolled his eyes at the situation.
"Doug, look, Hailey's come by to see how you're doing." Tom brought Dougie's attention to the now awkward girl.
"Hey, Dougie, how are you feeling?" she asked, weary of his wrath.
"Like shit." Dougie grumbled.
"I'm sure you'll feel better, with these three here at your service." she smiled at him.
"Oh God, don't encourage him." Harry pleaded.
"Judd! I order you to give me a foot massage!" Dougie smirked.
"W-What?! No way, dude!" Harry objected.
"Just do it!" Danny hissed fearfully, glancing anxiously at Dougie.
"What? No!" Harry refused.
"Dude..." Tom looked at him pointedly. Harry grumbled and started massaging Dougie's feet.
"This is bloody ridiculous." Harry muttered.
"So, Hailey, where's Lewis?" Danny asked. Hailey tensed.
"The pub." she said nonchalantly.
"I wish I was at the pub." Harry said dreamily.
"What's he doing there, shouldn't he be with you? He's your fiance." Danny frowned.
"He can do what he wants." she shrugged.
"God, having you as a girlfriend would be great! My girlfriend is a controlling bitch!" Dougie said.
"Dougie! You shouldn't talk about your girlfriend like that!" Tom scolded.
"Still love her! Just saying she's rather controlling." Dougie shrugged, "Judd, more effort! Your foot massaging skills are shit!"
"You're lucky I'm doing it at all!" Harry snapped.
Hailey watched the boys bicker with amusement. She missed her friends terribly. Her friends would playfully fight like this, but Lewis called them childish, so they grew apart... well, not exactly, Lewis just kept her away from them.
She looked at the ring on her finger, and felt a surge of anger.
He didn't deserve her.
