I was reading Wildwing and Nosedive bonding fiction and got this inspiration to write a poem that could be Wildwing writing to Nosedive but really I see it as me writing this to my youngest brother, Wyatt. It's days like the one's below that makes me realize it's great being the oldest sibling and I fully understand where Wing is coming from in those stories.

I Know How it Feels

I dedicate this to my littlest brother, may his smile aways bring a warmth to my heart

I know how it feels
Glancing at your smiling face
A glimmer of hope shines within
That's enough to make my day

I know how it feels
When you try
But you fail
Tears fall
I stop and hug you
Till it stops

I know how it feels
To think of loosing you
Shutter to think of it
But your smile brings me back

I know how it feels
Needing help with something
And I help
You might not say it
But your smile says everything

I know how it feels
To hear your laughter
It brings joy to my heart
And pride to my eyes

Little brother
I might be older
And taller
But I won't let them touch you
Or hurt you
cuz'
