Love. What exactly is 'Love.'

It sounds easy, doesn't it? Its such a short word. Just 4 letters, 1 word, but it has two powerful meanings. It sounds far too easy. People's perception of love lulls you into a false sense of security. But not in a lifetime would I lie to you tell you that love is easy.

Some people believe that romantic stories is this perfect scrapbook of beautiful moments, long lasting kisses, and hugs that could last a lifetime. They think that love in the books and the movies are a mirror image of real love. Well let me tell you, love is more like one of those distorted mirrors that one would find in the circus, tall and completely messed up. Love takes many forms.

This is because those stories dont talk about the hard times that come with being 'in love.' The times that love hurt like hell. The times that you thought your heart was going to litterally be ripped out of your chest because the one that you thought you loved crushed you.

Maybe were all just hopeless romantics, nobody wants to see the dark and dingy perception of what sometimes is. We want to see that perfect picture of compromise and compassion that everyone wants love to be.

We have high expectations of what love should be. We believe that love should be that fairytale story, that your lover has never loved or ever will love another person but you, and that you should either kiss in the rain or not kiss at all. Every kiss should be romantic and you should fall in love all over again, every moment you're with them you should always have butterflies.

But its not like that. I'll tell you exactly what love is, in my own words that come from experience, what love really is.

Love is a state of mind that sends shivers down our spines and creates warm sensations in the pit of your stomach. Love is when you fall asleep hugging your pillow, dreaming of him laying beside you, When you can't fall asleep for hours because of the memory of him is running through your mind.

Love is when you constantly daydream about him, you make up romantic scenarios in your head, hoping they would some day come true.

Love is about finding the one you both love and hate all at the same time, after all, hate is the closest emotion to love. When you never stop loving them, no matter what happens between you. It's about being around eachother when you can, and being able to sit in a comfortable silence. Love is a beautiful and ugly thing, its truely unexplainable.

Who could explain love? The emotion puts you in a place that you could never understand enough to be able to explain it. Love drives you insane sometimes, it tends to do that, but in the end its all worth it, dont you think?

Unpredictable, when you're in love, you never know what could happen next. It's as simple as wondering what he'll do next. Will he kiss you? Or will he pull you into his usual warm embrace and hold you for awhile?
You wouldnt mind either of them though, because of one word, Love.

Love is definately not perfect, and it shouldn't come off like it is. Nothing Is perfect. But thats just natural, to be imperfect. Have you ever met anyone or saw anything that was perfect?

You'll get in your arguments, you'll cry some salty tears every now and than. You'll get angry and yell out things that you don't mean because you dont have any other way to express your inner feelings. But if you truly love eachother,
no matter how long you chose to hold a grudge, you'll come back and appoligize in the end. Because you Love you them, and you need them in your life. As simple as that.

But if you get through the rocky stages of love, if you truely love the person your with, you'll stay by thick and thin. You'll stab each other in the back but you'll aways have each other's back when things get ugly.

Now i'll tell you my story, about how a small town girl falls in a deep unconditional love with her best friend.
Sounds short and sweet doesnt it?
