Sugar and spice alternate ending

Sheriff Jimmy Brock and his wife Jill listened as their daughter Kimberly explained. They had tried to deny it, fearful what it could mean. But it was true, Kimberly was gay.

Kimberly: Lisa and I are in love. It wasn't something either of us eve expected, or even wanted, but it's powerful.

Jimmy: So you're happy with Lisa?

Kimberly: Yeah. But I'm also terrified. It could be awhile before I'm ready to come out in public. But I thought you two shoud know it first, before you heard it elsewhere. I'm not entirely sure what Lisa and I are yet, but we are in love.

Jimmy: I'm happy for you. I know you're scared but we're here for you. Whatever happens just know that me, Jill, and Zack will always be there to love and support you.

Kimberly: I love you too dad.

Kimberly and her father hugged. Jill hugged them both at once. Kimberly was relieved. What lay ahead might be more difficult, but she knew she would always have her family.
