Chapter 6 Part One
Stumbling across grass and weeds, Kushi huffed her way across Shinshu fields. At night it was bliss and peace. Nothing but the fresh sound of the wind blowing on the moss, and the owls and crickets making their calls to one another. It made her feel safe, and sure that the gods were with her. And indeed they were. For little did Kushi know that Amaterasu was already in the progression of sending someone for her. But meanwhile, the focus goes to Susano, who sleeps away in his home, not knowing one thing for another, about where Kushi had gone.
Susano admitted to himself throughout the night that he was pitifully lonely and sorrowful at his outbursts. Tossing and turning all night, mumbling to himself about how his life was ruined, but yet how awful he felt for his helpless spouse.
After making many decisions of what to say, Susano found it best to ask if Kushi would forgive him. All he could do was ask for her forgiveness, and he knew she would be quick to forgive, as kind as she was.
Susano grabbed a lantern. It was well four in the morning when Susano realized the rain had ceased and everything was quite. He flung the basement door open and held the lantern close to the entrance to provide the depths of it with light. It made him realized even more how afraid and panicky Kushi could have been and it made him speed his pace down the steps. Hoping to see her sleeping away in peace, only brought more trouble to his eyes when they caught sight of an unusual sight.
Kushi was not visible, in this case, she was no where in sight. Susano made the idea t search everywhere, as anyone looking for something they had lost would do. Susano suspected everything, looking for clues and questions he could formulate to create an explanation for why Kushi was missing.
But this made things worsen. Susano panicked, "Kushinada, are you here? Can you see me? Where are you? Sumimasen shinai gozen, dete kudasai, watashi wa anata o kizutsukeru koto wa arimasen..." Susano's cowardly thoughts kicked in. "Did a ghost come and take her away, is someone down here with me as well?"
Suddenly, Susano froze at the creaking sound of the basement door closing behind him. His eyes grew wide as he stepped backwards from the steps. "It is! It is a spirit! Oh Kushi, why did I ever-" Susano's fear escalated. All of the lanterns lit at once. Susano had never seen anything like it. "Kore wa daredesu? Kore wa daredesu? Oni oni oni! Hanarete iku... Hanarete kudasai!" Susano cried as a laughter of sourcery aproached. But to Susano's surprise, some of the smoke from his candle has drifted into the cold and possessed air. As it drove out into gravity's hands, it spelled "恐怖" which meant "Fear". Susano's eyes watched as more than smoke appeared, but sparkles and light dancing in the atmosphere.
"Well well, Sommes-nous peur? We shouldn't be!" A French accent began. It echoed and tainted the room. Built with anxiety and stress, Susano fell on the floor and began to struggle to understand the pain and confusion he was experiencing.
"What? You are afraid of one prophet, but not of a life-long treasure such as your own wife? Mon Dieu..."
"Who...are you?" Susano struggled to look up. As he did, his blurring eyes saw long blonde hair and Asian blue eyes. Pink clothes and purple pants with traditional red sandals that the Tao wore.
"Me? You should know," The voice continued, "I am UshiWaka, the one and only! I am the Tao prophet known all across this land- far and wide, from the islands of the north, south, east, and west!"
