WARNING: this is my first story EVER, and English is my second language and I'm awfully bad at it. So I'm sorry if you had a hard time reading it.

I don't own any of the Final Fantasy 8 characters…

This story happened one year before FF8 started. When Rinoa was 15 she joined Galbadia Garden in a useless try to get a way from her nosy father, but then she realized it just a 2 hours drive from Diling city to Galbadia Garden. So she transferred her self to Balamb Garden.

My Roommate and Me

Chapter 1

I ran fast through the hallways of my new garden. I was happy but I felt more afraid... in one way I'll get rid off that caraway guy...and that's so great. But in another I'm losing the only home I ever know. That's how I've always felt about Galbadia Garden. The only place where I belong. How is my life going to be here? Will I find good friends? Will I be happy?? ... Those thoughts crossed my mind while I was waiting for the elevator to arrive ... when It arrived I entered it and before I could push the 3rd batten floor... a boy joined me. I didn't have a good look at him ... but he had a dark heir and a serious face, he wears a leather jacket and a pair of leather pants. Then I thought ... if I want friends here, I should start talking.

"Hi!"

"..."

"I'm Rinoa Heartilly; I was transferred from Galbadia Garden to here"

"..." He didn't even look at me!!

"You??"

At that sec the elevator door opened at the 2ed floor, where he was going to...He looked at me so coldly and said "whatever"... then he gave me his back!! (He's so mean... I hope he's the only one like this here!!)

Anyway ...soon I was in front of the headmaster assistant door…I knock on the door. And I heard the word Enter from the other side

"Hi I am Rinoa Heartilly, the new transferred student from Galbadia Garden" I said.

"Heartilly, you're late its all most noon, I think that you know that classes start at 8 a.m."

"I'm so sorry"

"Anyway, here's you computer password, the keycard of your room with your room number on it, the list of the books you need and you're dismissed"

I took what she gave me and headed to the door (they are all mean!!)

"Rinoa?" she called me

"Yes?" I turned to face her.

"Welcome to Balamb Garden" she said smiling (guess not).

I returned the smile and said "thank you"

I know it kind of short and slow but--

Huh where was I going with the but stuff? … I mean it short and slow, sorry for that
