Kagome's mother – Suki (Made it up)
(~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~)
Kagome felt as though her heart was being ripped from her body. Her eyes were trained on the woman who stood over her taking the soul that was once hers. Kagome closed her eyes and tried to keep her soul in her own body but soon she felt a numbing sensation wash over her. She knew that she lost.
She prayed that she would be saved before Kikyo took her soul. However she knew that was not going to happen. Her and Inuyasha had been fighting about him running to Kikyo only for her to sit him and run away from camp with out her weapons. Kagome had been heading to the well.
However she did not make it. Kagome's last words were 'Inuyasha' as a tear fell from her eye. She barely realized that her heart had slowed and stopped followed by the blackness of death. Kagome was no longer with the living.
Kagome knew that she was slowly dying as her incarnation took her soul once again. A single tear fell from her eye as the white orb floated out of Kagome's body and captured by one of Kikyo's soul collectors. Kikyo opened her arms and took the rest of her soul into her body.
(Nightmare Ends)
Kagome's eyes widen as she sat straight up from sleep. Her right hand was pressed against her chest while the left was clutching the blanket. It had been over 2 years since she had left the Feudal Era and sealed the well. Two years ago that she had died and woke up at the bottom of the well yet the nightmare still came and haunted her.
Kagome had barely been able to climb up the rope latter before her grandfather and mother came into the well house to check on a noise they had heard. She barely remembered as they took her into the house. Kagome had woken up the next day stronger than she had ever felt in her life. After that day she decided to travel and train.
Kagome was now perfect at hand to hand combat along with able to use her miko powers to form a pink fluffy cloud that she is able to use for travel. She is also able to form weapons with her powers along with barriers. Kagome had went to a high priestess that lived not to far from her home, at the shrine, to be trained.
Kagome was also skilled in almost every weapon. Her favorite however was a blade, about the length of her arm, which was curved on both sides. It resembled a flame, there were golds, yellows and oranges to make the blade look as though it was on fire. The hilt was silver with pearl inlay of a dragon holding a pink jewel it its mouth. She had asked for this sword to be made by the only person she trusted. Totosai.
After about three months of traveling in her era she had found the old youkai in the mountains not to far from where he lived in the Feudal era. She had not asked about anything that happened because she did not wish it. He did tell her that she would be surprised when she returned.
That had been over two years and now it was her time to return to the one place that would either make or break her. Calming her aura she rose for the day. Kagome gathered her clothing and headed to the bathroom for a shower. She needed something to calm her nerves about returning and a shower was the perfect way.
Once her shower was done she dried herself off with the heat from her powers. She had just learned to use them for such an act. Grinning at all the things she had accomplished while here she quickly donned her special made kimono that Totosai had made for her. He did not tell her any thing other than the fact that it came from the silk collection of a Goddess.
The silk kimono cleaned and repaired itself with out much difficulty. The outer kimono was a gray that faded into red at the bottom. It had a design of a sakura tree with a Inu howling to a full moon. The tree and the Inu were a dark gray while the moon was a light red almost pink. Kagome only had the outer and inner kimono. Where as the outer kimono was designed and the inner kimono was black. Her hakamas were the same color of her inner kimono.
Kagome checked to make sure that her sword along with her throwing daggers were in place before she grabbed her back pack and headed down stairs. To day would be the day that she returned to the place that hurt her beyond her imagination. As she descended the stairs she wondered if Inuyasha mated with Kikyo. Even after all these years she still loved the hanyou. A long time ago she knew that she would be with Inuyasha however that dream faded when Kikyo took the rest of her soul. Shaking her head she walked into the kitchen where her mother was.
Kagome's mother, Suki, looked up and smiled sadly. "You're going back to day." It was a statement. Her whole family understood what she needed to do and had to do, once her training was finished. She broke the Jewel and it was her job to get it back.
Kagome nodded. "Hai, I will be going back after breakfast." Kagome sat down in her seat.
Her grandfather and brother were still in bed which gave her time to speak with her mother. Suki noticed that Kagome was eating slowly. She cleared her throat and waited for Kagome to look up at her.
"Are you truly ready to see him again?" Suki's gaze soften when she saw that her daughter was very nervous. She got up and went to her daughter and gathered her into her arms.
Kagome took a shaky breathe. "I really don't know but I know I need to go back." Kagome pulled back and looked up at her mother. She was glad that her mother had let her transfer to home schooling. It had helped a great deal with fighting with Inuyasha before she came back.
"Do they even know that you are even alive?" Suki asked and watched watched her daughter for any kind of sign that she wasn't ready to return.
Kagome shook her head. "Ne, once Kikyo took my soul she probably went to the village and told Inuyasha along with the others that see found me dead and buried me." Kagome bowed her head, as she closed her eyes. Her heart was pounding in her chest.
"Well they will get quite a shock wont they?" Suki chuckled knowing full well that she raised an amazing daughter.
Kagome nodded smiling back at her mother. "Hai, they will." Turning and picking up her bag she slung it over her shoulder while placing her sword in her obi. "I'll be back when I can." Her bow and quiver full of arrows were slung over her other shoulder.
"Just be safe. I worry that you wont come back." Suki whispered sadly. Kagome hugged her mother once more before she turned walking out the kitchen, out the front door and headed to the well house. She briefly stopped at the God Tree and touched the scar that was still visible.
"I'm coming back, Inuyasha." She whispered as she headed to the well.
Suki watched from the kitchen window, as her daughter walked the familiar path that she had taken since she was 15. Kagome was no longer a young girl but now was a young woman with curves. Kagome's dark hair was changing for some reason. It now had blonde streaks running through it. Kagome's eyes were also changing.
Her once blue eyes were now a lighter blue. Suki noticed just under Kagome's skin there was discoloration that started to appear. At first she believed that Kagome had healing bruises however over time they became more defined. The stripes were now a light blue like her eyes. Other than that she appeared human except for the fangs that is. Sighing, Suki walked back to the sink and finished the dishes she started earlier that morning.
(Kagome)
Kagome stopped in front of the well house door and took a deep, calming breath. She had not stepped foot into this area for two years ago. Setting her mentally and physically she pulled off her sutra and opened the door. The air was musky from the lack of circulation. Kagome gently walked down the stairs and looked down at the old well that she had sealed.
Kagome closed her eyes and held out her hands. In her mind she asked her power that was sealing it to return to her. It made no qualms about returning to where it belonged, in fact it longed to be back with her. When Kagome opened her eyes she looked down and noticed that she could hear the hum of the magic that still resided inside the well and smell the power of the magic in the air. Taking a deep breathe she jumped into the dark well and smiled when the blue magic grabbed a hold of her and pulled her through time to the Feudal Era that she had missed since she returned.
When the magic died down Kagome looked up and smiled. The sky was clear and white puffy clouds were floating by. Taking a deep breathe of clear air she jumped formed her cloud and flew out of the well and landed in the clearing that surrounded the well. Her nose twitched as she smelled something fresh cut grass, rain filled air and something musty. It made her want to rush out and find just what it was however she felt a group coming her way long before she saw anything. She just sat her back pack down and held her bow in her left hand while her sword was on her left side since she was right handed in battle.
At the Village – Kaede's hut – Few Minutes Before
Inuyasha was sitting in the corner of the hut as Kikyo sat on the other side. Neither of them looking at each other. Shippou was outside playing with Rin because Sesshoumaru had decided that she needed to stay in a village and didn't trust any other except Edo. Sango and Miroku were outside talking quietly to themselves. Inuyasha kept trying to come to terms that Kagome was in fact dead but for some reason he didn't trust his ex love. Kaede had just left to the fields which left him and Kikyo alone in the hut.
"You really care about my reincarnation, do you not?" Kikyo broke the silence as she looked at her one time love.
Inuyasha just looked away from her. "Keh." He said as he stood and headed to the exit however he froze when he felt something he hadn't felt in along time but he was pushed aside when Kikyo raced outside.
Inuyasha ran out the door to see that Kikyo's snakes were carrying her towards the well. He looked around and found that Shippou and Rin were running their way. Inuyasha could also feel his ass hole of a brother coming back to the village. Sango and Miroku were on their feet in an instant as soon as they saw Inuyasha.
"Is it her?!" Shippou shouted as he jumped on Inuyasha's shoulder. "Please tell me its Kagome!" There were tears in his eyes. He had truly missed his mother figure that he found in Kagome before she left.
Inuyasha's ears perked up as he sniffed the air. "I..." He frowned there was something different about the scent. It smelled like Kagome but it didn't. "I don't know." He said putting Shippou on the ground. "But I'm going to find out." With that he took off leaving Rin, Shippou, Miroku and Sango all standing.
Kirara was turning her head as she watched one of her kittens run. Jumping down she mewed as she transformed into her battle form and nuzzled Sango.
"She wants to follow." Sango said jumping on Kirara's back along with Miroku. "Stay here Shippou and if it's really Kagome then we'll bring her back. I promise." She told the kit as Kirara rose to the air and took off towards the Well.
Shippou growled as he went to take off but Rin shook her head. "Let's wait for mi-lord he will take us." Her eyes were shining. Rin was now about 10 and looking a lot more like a young girl instead of a child. Shippou also grew however he still looked like a kit but he was about to Inuyasha's waist now.
"But..." Shippou protested. Rin just shook her head causing him to sigh and drop to the ground. "Alright." he told her, finally giving in. He learned from Inuyasha and Kagome that the woman was always right even if she was wrong.
However his patience payed off when the Western Lord landed in front of both Shippou and Rin. Rin ran up to him and stood in front of him with her hands behind her back, smiling up at him as she did when she was younger. Shippou stood next to Rin and found that it was rather shocking to see the lightness in the cold killing machines eyes. Shippou just smirked as he cleared his throat watching the Lord patted Rin's head then looked at him hardening his eyes slightly.
"Why did you come here Lord Sesshoumaru?" Shippou stood with his hands behind his back and his head held up high. Unlike Inuyasha he was a full blood youkai. "Is it time for Rin to return?" He bit his lip, a habit that he got from Kagome.
"Ne," Sesshoumaru turned slightly towards where the well was located. "That is the way to the Bone Eaters Well is it not?" He looked back down at Shippou.
"Hai mi-lord." Rin bounced up and down next to him. "Shippou and Rin were wanting to go but the others left us, will you take us?" Rin gave him the puppy eyed look.
Sesshoumaru was about to say something however there was an explosion which caused Rin to scream and jumped as she grabbed onto Sesshoumaru. Shippou didn't notice but he also hid behind the Taiyoukai. Sesshoumaru didn't look down as he pulled Rin's hands off his hakamas and walked away towards the well.
"You will stay here." He then formed his cloud and flew towards the well. He would find out who's aura it was that appeared. It was quite large and powerful. He needed to know if it was a threat to Rin since it was so close to the village.
