Chapter 1: the New Fairy's Arrival

*Anything italicized is someone's thought bubble, or they're singing. *Bold=flashback

A baby's laughter spoke. The winds began to rise and out blew a little red rose petal. It fluttered through the air and it came closer to Pixie Hollow. Vidia noticed its presence and moved the red petal to Pixie Hollow with her great winds. The petal stopped at the middle of the chocolate brown swirling floor. Terence got the Pixie Dust and draped it over the burgundy red rose petal. In a flash, out came a girl with gorgeous blue eyes, and long, beautiful burgundy colored hair with a blond strip down the side, more nearest to her face. Bright white and smooth skin; rose petal pink lips, and a neon white dress, like Tinker Bell's when she was the new fairy in Pixie Hallow. She looked positively, absolutely beautiful! Most of the boy fairies whistled. That is, everyone but the bad boy music fairy, Gothic. He was one that didn't think girls were everything. He did, however, like the music fairy Caren [CAR-en], before that tragic day.

Tinker Bell looked in amazement. After all, this was her first time seeing what a new arrival looked like. She looked up at Terence and smiled. She noticed he smiled back at her and that made her blush and look back at the new arrival.

"Born with laughter, clothed in cheer, happiness has brought you here." The queen, Queen Clarion stated. The new arrival gave a smile, a shy smile to be more precise.

"Now let's see about those wings." she said. The queen took her hands out and gently swifted her hands over the newborn's wings. She giggled as the queen lifted her up to try and fly. She flew with grace, and with the help of Queen Clarion, she could do anything.

"Bring forth the talents." Queen Clarion announced. The girl saw tables pop out of no where. Every fairy, of every talent, flew up and placed their talent on each table. The new arrival looked at Queen Clarion and Clarion nodded towards the objects.

"This is how we know what kind of fairy you are, sweet heart." Queen Clarion said.

The new arrival took a deep breathe and walked up to the water sphere. She went to grab it, but it splashed out of existence. The new arrival then went to the harmer and went to grab it, but it fell and didn't glow. She then went up to the light sphere, but it went out. She looked at the harp, but didn't bother with that one, and went straight for something else. But, fate had another idea. The harp started floating up in the air, and started glowing. The new arrival heard this and turned around. She saw the harp floating and dimly glowing, and that made her want to walk closer and grab it from the air. The harp then glowed as bright as the harmer did for Tinker Bell. Everyone gasped at the brightness of the harp and when it died down; the new arrival looked shocked and turned her head towards Queen Clarion.

Queen Clarion giggled a little and said. "Music fairies; come meet your new performer…Roselyn." [ROSA-lyn] Then, in a flash, Queen Clarion was gone. Roselyn looked over at the music fairies and smiled when she saw a girl with thin red hair, ghost pale skin, and hazel brown eyes fly up to her.

"Hi, I'm Harmony, one of the music fairies." Harmony said.

"I'm Roselyn." Roselyn said, with a delegate voice.

"I know. Come on! I have so much to show you!" Harmony said as she grabbed Roselyn's arm and flew her to Music Meadow.

When they got there, music was being played everywhere. Roselyn couldn't believe the brilliance they had with the instruments. She looked at Harmony with a smile, just as a speeding music fairy flew passed them, making them stop.

Harmony growled and yelled: "Gothic, watch where you're going!"

Gothic stopped and looked at Harmony with Roselyn. "Make me, Harmony!" He said, in a yell.

"Sometimes I wonder if there was a mistake with your talent! You are as fast as Vidia!"

"Well, of course I am! She is my sister after all!"

"Whatever!" Harmony crossed her arms over her chest and pouted.

Roselyn looked at Gothic and smiled. "Hi…I'm Ro…"

"Roselyn, yeah, I know. You're the new arrival." Gothic stopped her. Roselyn nodded with a hurt expression on her face. "Do me a favor, stay out of my way, and you won't get hurt." He turned around and sped off into the woods behind Music Meadow.

"He seems nice…not." Roselyn stated, making Harmony laugh her butt off.

"Nice one, Ro!" Harmony said between laughs.

"Who…?" Roselyn asked.

"Ro…short for Roselyn."

"Oh…I understand now…a nickname."

"Precisely…come on. I have to show you your house." Harmony said as they flew away to Roselyn's new house.

Roselyn's eyes lit up when she saw her house. It was big and white, with a red roof. They flew inside and started walking on the ground.

"This is your house. We put some clothes in your closet and Queen Clarion had this piano built just for you." Harmony said.

"Really…? But, she didn't even know I was music fairy." Roselyn stated.

"She had a feeling…our most talented music fairy Caren died from a disease recently. She played the piano beautifully and sang like no one has ever sung before. I guess we're all just hoping you're the same way, but in a good way." Harmony explained.

"Oh…I see…" Roselyn said back. She walked up to the piano, and sat on the piano bench. She placed her hands on the keys, the right way, and began to play beautifully, just like Caren.

Harmony's eyes lit up and her expression went excited. Roselyn had the same talent as Caren.

"Oh, my…Roselyn…" Harmony said.

Roselyn smiled as she stopped playing and looked at Harmony. "Did I pass?" She asked.

"Oh, you sure did, girl!" Harmony said excitedly. "You play just like her." Roselyn smiled wider and then looked at the clothes.

"Oh, right. Well, I'll let you get settled in. Make sure you come down to the theatre in the woods behind Music Meadow when you're ready." Harmony said before leaving and as she wiped away a tear.

Harmony left and Roselyn began to get dressed. Her outfit was a red leaf shirt, with a red leaf skirt, and red flats on her feet. She had a black shirt underneath her red leaf shirt. She messed with her hair a little bit, but then realized it looked really cute just hanging down. She flew out of her house and began to head to the theatre, but stopped when she heard a guitar playing. She flew towards the sound and stopped. There in front of her, was a café like place.

She walked inside and saw Gothic sitting on a stool, and playing his guitar, that a Tinker Fairy built for him, on stage. Roselyn walked in further and watched as Gothic began to sing.

Roselyn's cheeks turned red, and her eyes sparkled as she watched Gothic sing up there on stage, with a voice like an angel.

I, yeah I believe in destiny,

I maybe an ordinary guy without his soul,

When Gothic was done with the song, everyone went berserk…including Roselyn.

Gothic heard that delegate voice cheering and knew it was Roselyn. He sighed as he saw her with his mad face, but looked shocked to see how she cleaned up from that neon white dress and added shoes. To him…she reminded him of Caren…the one fairy he ever liked.

"HA! You call that singing!?" A harsh female voice yelled through the crowd. Gothic broke out of his trance, and looked over at the culprit behind the voice.

"What do you want, Alicia?!" Gothic asked, in a yell. Roselyn looked over and saw a music fairy in an all black leaf outfit. She had long black hair, with a blood red strip down the side, more nearest to her face.

"I came to challenge someone with a voice…you have no voice." Alicia said, laughing evilly.

Roselyn at the moment; felt the urge to sing herself. "Oh, boy…" She said under her breathe.

"Vidia thinks so, witch." Gothic said.

"Well of course she'll think so! You're her brother!"

Just then, something glowed on the stage and appeared a white grand piano. Gothic moved out of the way and saw the piano as well. "What the Pixie Dust…?!" He yelled.

All of a sudden, the piano began to play by itself.
