(Elyana's P.O.V)

"We're almost to Japan! We're almost to Japan!" I shouted with a large grin on my face. I was jumping up and down on my plane seat. "I am so excited! I can't wait!"

Mayra, one of my friends, sighed mutely. She gave me a silent message with her eyes. "Elyana, will you please sit down? How much sugar did you eat exactly?" Ra-Ra—my nickname for her—had dirty blonde hair, eyes the color of milk chocolate, and is a mute. She's also my best friend even though she's fifteen and I'm nine and I sometimes drive her crazy because of my childishness. That's why I can understand what she's saying the most, other than Leanna but she has an advantage.

Huh, childishness and advantage are big words. Anyways, I shrugged and told her, "I didn't check. All I ate the past hour was a gallon of chocolate chip mint ice cream and fifteen cookies and cupcakes and twenty chocolate 'Hershey' bars. Is that bad?" I noticed I said that rapidly so maybe it was bad.

Ra-Ra smacked her forehead as I jumped from seat to seat in Cheri's family plan. Cheri, by the way, is one my other friends. We've been using her plane to travel the world. It's amazing! Alex, one of my other friends, drives the plane so we wouldn't have to harm Cheri's personal butler who is in his fifties. I wonder how he is. He was so nice to me last time! He gave me so many fancy desserts. I wonder what those were…

I looked out the window as I saw a flock of birds fly by the window. I looked down and squealed excitedly. I saw a shape of land beneath the plane. I jumped up and down on the seat again. "We're almost there! We're almost there! EEK! I REALLY MISS JAPAN!"

"Elyana, sit down. We're about to land," Ra-Ra 'said' to me. "You'll get hurt if you don't stay seated."

I pouted. "I want to continue to jump…" I mumbled but I sat down and buckled up anyways. I don't want to give my bestie a heart attack. That almost happened last time when I got lost in London with that blowtorch. At least I came back before she did. Hmmm…maybe I shouldn't have eaten that ten pound cake…It was good though.

A male's voice came through intercom. "We're about to land, girls," Alex's voice said. "Elyana, you better be seated."

"NO WORRIES! I AM SITTING DOWN!" I shouted at the top of my lungs. Mayra flinched and covered her ears. I smiled and said, "Sorry, Ra-Ra."

Mayra nodded and smiled at me. She never gets mad at me for some reason. I'm like the little sister she never had she told me once. Hmm…I guess that's why I go all Miss Defensive when someone picks on her…That makes sense.

"Ra-Ra, I'm so bored!" I whined. "It's taking too long."

"Just wait for twenty minutes," Mayra mouthed to me.

"That's like twenty hours!"

Ra-Ra sighed and gave me a picture book.

I pouted. "But I don't want to read!"

I opened the book anyways and I swung my legs up and down. "AWW, THIS DOGGIE IS SO CUTE!" I squealed. There was a picture of a poodle puppy with big watery eyes. The little guy was so cute! "WHO IS SUCH A CUTIE WOOGIE PUPPIE?" I made kissy faces at the pictures.

I noticed Ra-Ra putting ear plugs in her ears but I didn't really care. I just continued flipping through the pages, squealing at each of the baby animal pictures. I wonder if I could get a pet. Though, I might not be able to since we are traveling a lot. It may not be good for it. Also, I don't want anything bad to happen to it, especially when we…

"THIS IS SUCH A CUTE BUNNY!" I squealed as I saw a picture of a baby white bunny in a grassy meadow with small wild flowers.

Wait…what was I thinking just a few seconds ago? I don't remember. Oh well.

After twenty minutes of looking at the animal book, I felt the plane land. Ra-Ra took out her ear plugs and got up.

I squealed. I unbuckled and ran at top speed towards the door. Alex, a sixteen year old American and the only boy in our group, grabbed me by my hoodie and stopped me in my tracks. "Whoa, hold up," he said with an amused smile. "Wait until we actually open the door. Do you want to get a flat skull?"

I looked up at him and laughed. "That will be funny like in the cartoons. Ooh, do you think that could happen in real life?"

Alex chuckled and shook his head. "Not unless you suddenly become indestructible character in 'Tom and Jerry'."

"Can I?"

Mayra came up behind me. I turned to her. "You know you can't, Ely," she said with her eyes. I say humor in her eyes. "You're already nine but you still have the imagination of a four year old."

I blinked. "What do you mean? All I think of are unicorns, rainbows, gazelles, and sugar! Ooh, I wish Candy World was real so I could eat it all! AND I COULD HAVE A GUMMY BEAR CUB PET! THAT WILL BE SO ADORABLE AND YUMMY!"

Alex and Mayra sweat-dropped. Alex leaned over to Mayra and asked, "Did she eat so much sugar that she finally cracked?"

"HEY!" I shouted.

Three other girls came in: Cheri "Che-Che", Yin "Yinny", and Zakia "Zsa". We make the best team in the WHOLE IN TIRE WORLD! Wait, I mean the WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD! WHY DID I SAY IN TIRE? AND WHY AM I SHOUTING IN MY HEAD? THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE! OOH, I WANT A FUDGE POPSICLE RIGHT NOW! I'M HUNGRY!

Huh, maybe I have gone crazy. Oh well. I'll go back to normal when all the sugar goes out of my body. That might take another five hours or so. I hope I won't be taken to a hospital. I usually have a major sugar rush right before the sugar effect disappears and Yinny told me that I looked like an insane little girl. I wonder how that looks like…Wait, I just noticed she called me insane. That's mean…poo, but true. Hey, that rhymed.

"Okay," Alex said, clasping his hands together. "Let's go. Elyana, make sure we aren't forced to put a leash on you. We're all holding you responsible if there is any fire and sugar related problems anywhere within twenty miles radius away from us."

I pouted. "That's no fair," I grumbled.

"It is true," Yin said. She was looking at me with a raised eyebrow. "Remember the last time?"

I sighed and nodded. "I'll try," I mumbled.

We took our luggages and climbed out of the plane. I nearly peed when a mob of paparazzi crowded us as soon as Cheri and Yin put their feet down on the ground. Stupid flashing lights. I was nearly blinded.

Alex and Zakia managed to get all of us but Che-Che and Yinny out of the mob. The two winked at us before posing for the paparazzi. Che-Che winked and blew kisses. Yinny made a peace sign and hearts with her hands. Those were their signature poses. They all asked them: Where have you girls been the past year and a half? Are you quitting your careers? I heard there was a mysterious accident in your respective home countries right before you disappeared. Is that true? And a ton of other questions but my focus shifted towards a girl and her father getting off a plane that was three planes away from ours.

The girl was around my age with short, wavy brown hair and violet eyes. The father had the brown eyes and brown dreadlocks with a grey headband. The blood in my veins bubbled but I shook my head and turned back to Che-Che and Yinny.

Suddenly, we were surrounded by the paparazzi. Ra-Ra squeaked and hid between Al and Zsa. Cheri and Yin squeezed their way through the mob and back to us. The paparazzi asked questions rapidly. I couldn't understand them since they were all speaking at once.

After agonizing hours of questions and flashing lights, the mob finally left. When they did, we all took our bags again and left the airport quickly.

As Alex drove his van, I thought about the girl and her father that I saw at that other plane. I really wanted to talk to them again but if I do, I might cause them trouble. I don't want to do that. But…I really miss Sala and Uncle. I do hope I could see them again.

As we drove, I looked out the window, seeing the different people and stores. We went to Japan before but this is the first time we went to Metal Bey.

I sighed sadly. I placed my head on the window seal and my thoughts went to our leader. I wonder how she's doing. I hope she's safe and they aren't making things hard for her. Because of that battle…she hasn't been the same…our team hasn't been the same…and she's not here with us.

"Ely," Cheri said softly, "she'll be fine."

I snapped out of my thoughts and I turned to her. They were all looking at me, even Alex who was looking through the rearview mirror when he should be focused on the road. And they say I'm reckless.

"Leanna won't let anyone or anything beat her," Zakia said reassuringly. "I know. If Leanna was here, she'll be telling you to suck it up and move on."

I chuckled. Lea is always so tough. She would be mad at me for worrying about her. That thought made me happy. I grinned and said, "Does anyone have chocolate?"

My friends laughed. Ra-Ra shook her head and sent me a message: You're not eating any sugar or sweets for two days. No arguing, no protesting, and no sneaks.

I pouted but I knew she was doing it for my good. Still…I was hungry. My stomach growled just to prove it.

Cheri raised an eyebrow at me. "Seriously? You just ate the whole fridge two hours ago. Almost literally. How can you be hungry?"

"Face it, Cheri," Yin said with a humorous grin. "Ely will never be full. Her stomach might as well be a black hole. I am curious to where it goes, though."

I stuck my tongue out at the famous pair and said, "I can get full. I just don't know my limit yet."

"And yet, she's still skinny," Alex sighed. He shook his head. "I don't know anyone who has a bigger stomach."

I looked out the window again. I spotted a boy my age with yellow-orange hair and green eyes. He was walking with a teenage boy with golden brown eyes and long, silvery white hair. I could tell they are bladers by their blader spirits they are giving off. It's pretty powerful.

I took a deep breath. My heart was beating as fast as a cheetah can run. I can't wait!
