Chapter 28: Attack and Recovery
Fifteen years had past since her son's death. Thomas had been a member of the Order of the Phoenix, and had fallen victim to being a member of one of the first Pureblood families Voldemort had ordered destroyed during his rise to power. Although she had been three years older then the Queen's goddaughter, Marlene, Thomas's wife, had been a good friend of Lily Potter, as she had been a Gryffindor and Head Girl when Lily first became a Prefect. She and the rest of her family had been wiped out a few short weeks before the Potter's wedding, to which she had been invited. As the eldest of the McKinnons, Adela had of course been invited also. And she had gone, as the last of her house.
The Imperatrix sighed, shaking her head to evict the old woes that would weigh down her heart and haunt her soul till the end of her days. She, like many other survivors of those Dark times would always wonder about what could have been. Where would her son be now? Would her grandson ever find the many cures he'd been looking for hidden inside his potions? Would her daughter-in-law ever been elected as the first female Minister of Magic, as she'd aspired? And her great-grandson, always-smiling Evan, would he have followed her mother's path: a Gryffindor? Or would he have been a Ravenclaw like his father? Or perhaps a Slytherin, like his grandmother? And his sister, little Crystalline, who'd only just begun to walk and talk...
Survivor's guilt, the Healers called it. Everyone who'd fought for the Light and survived had it. It had taken nearly a decade for the Wizarding World to right itself after those terrible times. In retrospect, they'd actually been worse then the times when Grindelwald had been in power. Back then they hadn't had to worry about hiding their chaotic world from Muggles, because the Muggle World had been at war then, too. Everything hadn't been quite as bad. Grindelwald hadn't been as strong as Voldemort. He hadn't terrorized the globe for anywhere near as long.
"You can't change the past, Ada..."
Adela McKinnion started, before turning slightly in the direction of her Queen's melodious voice. "Milady, forgive me," she bowed, "I did not notice your approach."
The Lunarian was watching the blind-witch with careful, calculating, yet gentle eyes. "They wouldn't want you to live in pain at their memories. Thomas and Marlene would have wanted you to remember them for the happy times you had with them. No more, and no less."
"I know," the head of the Crystal Alliances elite investigators sighed. "It's just hard sometimes..."
"It is," the Queen agreed. "But we make do."
"We must," Adela nodded.
The Queen had told the Imperatrix, then only a Captain, that very same thing when she'd lost her, many decades past. Even with all of the wondrous powers the Ruler of the Cosmos possessed, she couldn't restore her friend's eyesight. By the time she'd gone to the Lunarian, it had been too late. And she hadn't been able to watch her son's graduation, his wedding, or the births of her grandchildren. She could only listen to them, both with her ears and her powerful empathetic abilities, enhanced by her fairly strong magic.
After a moment, the Imperatrix sighed, "With the conference over, now... If you wish, we could bring the Hippogriff, Buckbeak's, the trial to adjournment, and continue the search for Mr. Black."
Serenity nodded, "Please do..." she sighed softly after the witch had departed. "We can only hope that those are the only ordeals we must face in the near future..."
That was the dilemma of her existence as the Ruler of the Cosmos. While it certainly was an extraordinarily privileged position, it bore many responsibilities. And there were times that those responsibilities seemed almost too heavy to bear...
Harry glanced up to see Ron and Hermione approaching, wide smiles on their faces. "Here what?" he inquired, his tone politely neutral.
Both Gryffindors noticed this, but apparently it wasn't enough to dampen their good spirits, as Hermione continued anyhow. "About the trial!"
"Oh, yes," the Prince of the Crystal Millennium nodded. "Ada-sama sent me a note this morning. She and Sere-sama thought that now was a good time to get it out of the way, before anything else could happen."
"That's great!" Ron nodded happily as he began loading food onto his plate.
"Yes," Hermione agreed, while pouring a goblet of pumpkin juice for herself before passing the pitcher to Lavender, who'd apparently been asking for it. "Even if it'll take awhile, at least it's started."
"Oh, it won't take long," Harry assured her, before taking a sip of his morning tea.
Both looked at him, frowning slightly. But it was Ron spoke first, "What'd you mean?" the redhead inquired, shaking his head. "When they started the trial before, it took forever."
"They were preoccupied."
"Wha--Oh! You mean with the Conference?" Hermione inquired, nodding, then frowning after a moment's thought. "But that doesn't make any sense... I thought the Conference was called on short notice, that's why you had to leave so quickly."
After he finished his last sip of tea, the Lunarian descendant nodded while setting the teacup down. "It was. But the Alliance had been debating all of it for the last few years, and it had really started to heat up this last year. So they had to focus on that, too... Now, things have cooled down. And British-Wizarding affairs are much simpler then intergalactic disputes." He'd risen while he was talking, brushing his hands down the front of his robes, to smooth out nonexistent wrinkles. "I'll see you in class."
Both Gryffindors' faces bore deep frowns as they watched their friend depart. Their gazes were equally worried when they met.
"Do you think he's still mad at us?" Ron asked, shaking his head. "He didn't talk much during Astronomy, last night... And I couldn't stir up any conversation while we were getting ready for bed..."
The Gryffindor genius shook her head, sighing. "I don't know...It seems like he's very angry... But I don't understand why!"
"I know," the youngest Weasley son agreed, nodding. "Everyone knows that Black's a killer and a traitor!"
"Yes..." the brunette agreed, but, while she nodded, there was the unmistakable shadow of doubt in her eyes as she looked towards the main doors, which their friend had passed through moments before. "But Harry doesn't..."
"Proof, Mr. Malfoy, proof." The Quaesitor eyed the young wizard closely. "That, and only that, is what we are concerned with. Now can you, or can you not, offer us any irrefutable evidence that you did not provoke Buckbeak the Hippogriff, a magical creature well known for its temperament, into attacking you?"
"The bloody monster nearly took my arm off!" the Slytherin student protested loudly, a barely noticeable gleam of panic in his eyes, he might've said more, had his father not placed a firm hand on his shoulder.
"Yes," the elder Malfoy agreed, "surely my son's medical bills and the testimonies of his classmates are more than enough to show the creatures guilt?"
"Oh we know he was attacked, there's no doubt of that." The Quaesitor lieutenant nodded, organizing some of the documents on his desk. "But all of our experts in the behavior of magical creatures agree that Hippogriffs are known for their temperament; but will only attack if provoked to do so. The vast majority of the students in Mr. Malfoy's Care of Magical Creatures Class have stated that Mr. Malfoy didn't seem to be paying the class instructor any mind when Professor Hagrid said as much. Though a few have stated under the influence of truth serum that he intentionally provoked the creature." Apparently content with his desk's arrangement, the lieutenant leaned back in his seat, his hands folded neatly in front of him. "Which leads to the question of why he would do such a thing… If something of this nature were to happen in the Royal Court, rather than at a school, we would automatically suspect a premeditated plot of some sort, intended to harm someone it involved. But then this is probably just a schoolyard accident, I think. Though I have to wonder why you'd take it to such a level. I'd think demanding the creature's removal and the compensation for medical tabs would be more than enough--"
"Indeed," Lucius Malfoy cut into the lieutenant's rambling with a nod of agreement, his gray gaze seething. "How silly of me. I'm afraid we were caught up in the emotional implications of the case, but in retrospect it is obvious that this has gotten quite out of hand."
The Quaesitor blinked in apparent surprise. "You want to drop the charges, then?"
"Yes," the blonde nodded as he rose, pulling his son up with him. "I apologize for all of the trouble--"
"Oh no, no!" the younger wizard cut in, "No trouble at all! We're always happy to be of service." He smiled, rising. "Shall I show you to the door, then?"
"Thank you, no. I believe we are quite capable of finding it on our own." Mr. Malfoy replied, leading his son out of the lieutenant's workplace with a grip on his shoulder that looked rather insensitive.
A few moments after the door clicked shut a soft chuckle rose from the far shadows of the office. "Well done, lieutenant."
The young wizard rose with a slight smile, turning to bow to the occupant. "Thank you, My Lady Imperatrix."
"The Queen will be pleased, as will the Prince, I'm sure." Adela smiled.
"I'm glad, though…permission to speak freely, lady?" he continued with a sigh upon receiving a nod from his highest superior. "I'm glad it's over with."
The Imperatrix laughed, "It's always nice to see a case come to a close, particularly if the closing is to our satisfaction."
A little over a week later found them in Potions, and working alongside one another, as extraordinary as that may seem.
“Because we were assigned to do so by Professor Snape, Malfoy.” Harry forced himself to bite his tongue as Draco let out a pained sigh.
“I’m aware of that, Potter," the blonde snapped. "But why the hell are we supposed to work together on something as tawdry as this? Couldn’t I have been blessed with a more interesting partner?”
Harry forced his eyes to stay down, knowing that eye contact would eventually lead to trouble. “Like Juri?”
“Did I say anything about Ezakiya?”
“No.”
“All right. Just checking to make sure you hadn’t gone deaf, Potter. By interesting I was thinking more like... oh... say... Parkinson.” Draco gestured across the room where Pansy, as if on cue, flashed him a look of the utmost adoration, blowing kisses in a way that made her already overly shiny lips, no doubt due to an excess of gloss, look like a squashed strawberry.
Harry had to fight off a laugh. “You think she’s interesting?”
“More so than you are.”
“You’re right. If that’s what you consider interesting, I’m never going to be as intriguing as she is.”
“No, you're not.”
Harry resumed the potion making, ignoring how irritating it was to have a partner who, while at least somewhat adept at remembering viscosity ratios, was more focused on his social life. Having grown up around affluent socialites, the young prince was always irritated by shallow, superficial people, knowing full well that the majority of what they had to say was simply not worth his time. Hurriedly finishing the slicing of his ingredients, Harry raised his wand over his cauldron, the signal that students were supposed to give Snape before the whole class could move on.
“Why do we have to extinguish all the candles in here?”
“Maybe because the potion is sensitive to light and explodes if it’s exposed before its completion?”
“Good point.”
And so the lights went out, once all the students had finished their primary brewing, leaving the less interested students like Draco to wonder what silly faces people were making at each other in the dark. 'I bet Potter sticks his tongue out at me when it’s pitch black like this, when we’re supposed to be sitting perfectly still,' he thought to himself.
'I bet Malfoy’s grimacing again… Probably sticking his tongue out at me too,' Harry thought.
It was then that the pain erupted in Harry’s head, like a dagger was cutting him in half through his forehead. His scar was burning, and Harry felt blood trickle down his face where the old wound must have somehow reopened... but that only happened when... “Kuso…”
“What’d you say, Potter?”
Harry didn’t have time to answer as his head snapped back, his whole body going tense.
Through his rapidly clouding vision, he could clearly make out a long jet of gold light bursting from his forehead. He guessed, accurately enough, that his trademark crescent mark had just appeared, flashing like a strobe light, and setting off explosions all over the room.
'Are things usually this bad?' Harry wondered to himself as his rigid body crashed out of his chair onto the damp stone floor. 'Do I usually make things blow up? Maybe it really has... been... awhile...'
He was slipping, slipping back into the inner recesses of his consciousness; it was almost like he was falling asleep very, very fast, though he could feel every nerve in his body pulsating as he started shaking, raw energy rippling up through him and out of his crescent moon.
“Merlin! What’s happening to him!?” Draco Malfoy shouted from his hiding place under his desk. All around the room, the potions were exploding in their cauldrons, and everyone seemed to be crouching under their tables, waiting for things to stop.
Everyone except Juri, that is. The anxious Slytherin girl dove out of her chair, performed a successful dive roll across the floor to avoid impact with the flying fragments of a ruined cauldron, and scampered on her hands and knees over to Harry and Draco’s table. She didn't pay any mind to Draco, who was sitting with his hands in front of his face, shielding himself from the flying debris of exploded potions and cauldrons. Instead she seized Harry by the shoulders, careful not to let him face her directly until the beam had died down.
When it did, someone lit their wand.
“Bloody hell!”
“What was that thing?”
“Shut up, all of you!” Juri commanded harshly, picking Harry’s body up. “Harry? Harry! Harry, are you all right? Can you hear me? Harry! Daijobu desu ka!? Daijobu desu ka!?”
“Ezakiya, where--”
“Malfoy, move, I’m taking him to the Hospital Wing.”
“The Hospital Wing? But--”
“MOVE! Baka, you're blocking my path!”
Draco resolutely crawled all the way back under the table he'd been working at again.
Juri ran past him, Harry’s limp body dangling in her arms as she did so.
“Professor?”
“What, Mr. Weasley?” the Potions Master snapped in reply.
“Is that why we don’t want any light around our potions before they’re done?”
"Do you think Harry's all right?" Ron asked worriedly as he followed Hermione and some of his other Gryffindor year-mates into their common room a few minutes later. Apparently, the disruption had unsettled Snape enough to end class early… very early, actually. It was almost an hour before lunch.
The brunette sighed, shaking her head. "I don't know, Ron… I haven't any more of an idea of what happened then you… But I'll be heading down to the Hospital Wing as soon as I've dropped my stuff off and cleaned up a bit."
"Sound's good to me," her friend nodded easily, before turning to make his way up the stairs to his dormitory.
Hermione stopped her own ascent a little under a minute later, when she heard his voice again, this time raised in a startled, and fairly irate shout. By the time she reached the common room a few seconds later, most of the other girls were gathered at the foot of the stairs, while the boys had run up to see what had happened. "What is it?" she shouted up the stairs, "What's wrong?"
She didn't get an answer until the youngest Weasley brother himself came storming down, his face almost as red as his hair, in obvious anger. "I'll kill'em, I swear, I will!"
"Who? What happened?" Hermione insisted, grabbing him before he could storm past her and out of the tower.
"Fred and George!" he exploded, "They complete destroyed our dormitory!"
"We don't know that for sure, Ron," Neville, showing a fair feet of courage in doing so, cautioned as he came up behind them, his face showing a great deal of disturbance. Seamus and Dean, who'd also followed him down, shared that look, mingled with obvious anger. "It might not have been them… I mean, I know your brothers are the resident pranksters but… That didn't really look like a prank…"
"So who could it possibly be then?" Ron demanded, having calmed down only slightly.
"W-well," Neville replied, now quite a bit less certain. "I…I don't like to think it, but he has broken in before so…it could be…"
"Sirius Black…" Hermione finished, her voice almost echoing in the alarmed silence.
It was cold.
She hastily threw another blanket over her friend, shivering herself at the eerie-ness of seeing his limp, well-conditioned yet obviously over-exerted body in those pale, striped pajamas. His face was flushed...
Juri was quite used to seeing Harry unconscious, as she'd been there throughout almost all of the other occasions in which he'd been knocked out over the years. Nonetheless, this somehow seemed much more severe than usual, even if they weren’t in immediate danger, as unusual as that seemed.
At least this time he had somebody to take care of him.
“Come here often?”
It sounded like a pick up line, even if it couldn’t have been one. Juri turned, glaring instinctively at the lean, cleanly cut form of Draco Malfoy in the doorway. “You know I do. And how long have you been there?”
“Long enough. You’re worried sick over him, trying to talk to him every few minutes to see if he’s going to wake up. He’s not dead, Ezakiya, for Merlin's sake, just go back to class already. He’s been out for almost three months. He’s not going to dissolve into thin air while you’re gone.”
Juri stiffened. Malfoy didn’t sound quite as condescending as usual, but in light of their most recent interactions and the events that had led to Harry being here, she wasn’t exactly inclined to want to hear any of his opinions on Harry or her own conduct. “I’m not going anywhere until Harry wakes up.”
“He’ll be fine! You’re not a Healer.”
“That’s not the point. Kami, Malfoy, somebody could attack him!” Juri was trying to keep the frantic emphasis out of her voice, but it shone through anyway.
Draco raised an eyebrow, comprehending what she meant at last. “Because he’s the Prince?”
“And because we’re going to war.”
“What?”
“The Crystal Alliance. It’s going to war.”
“How do you know?”
“I don’t know for sure I just...have a feeling.” Juri turned away, looking back at Harry, who’s hand she was still clutching loosely in her own, his seemingly lifeless fingers falling over hers in a kind of peaceful yet terrifyingly weak fashion. “Harry’s not the only casualty. The Senshi have been dispatched to take care of natural disasters, and the Queen herself was out for a month. Even if things aren’t exploding yet, I can sense something’s going to happen.”
Draco approached her until he stood next to her chair. “Ezakiya...”
“What?”
“Are you afraid your guys are going to lose?”
“I’m not. But they might. I don’t know. You can never be sure.” She was staring at her lap as she said this, not bothering to look at him.
“What, no eye contact? Someone would think you didn’t mean it.”
“I did mean it. But eye contact isn’t polite.”
“Not polite?” Draco frowned, “You’re wrong. It’s considered impolite around here not to make eye contact.”
“Well if I get into the habit, it’ll be rude once I go back to realms dominated by Japanese culture, won’t it?” Juri seemed upset suddenly, and Draco didn’t understand why.
“Look, I came up here to ask you to go back to class. Professor Snape has been quizzing us a lot lately, and if you don’t start studying--”
“I have been.” Juri gestured to a pile of schoolbooks arranged neatly on the floor by Harry’s nightstand. “I haven’t gotten terribly behind.”
“Well you’re hardly winning awards for scholarship either. And Professor Snape has low regards for anyone with less than excellent grades.”
“So why does he put up with Crabbe and Goyle?”
“You’re asking me? Look, just go back to class and straighten things out with him. I’m sure it’s not too late. It only took me two weeks of kissing up to make up for a bad test grade once.”
“But I can’t leave Harry alone, I already--”
“You won’t be leaving him alone. You’ll be leaving him with me.”
Silence.
“What?”
“I said you’ll be--”
“I heard you.”
“And you interrupted me.”
“You expect me to leave Harry alone, unconscious and recuperating, in the presence and under the supposed protection of the son of Lucius Malfoy?”
“Professor Snape says that if you don’t keep your grades up, he’ll make the house elves remove the punching bag from your room.”
“...Make sure Madame Pomfrey knows why you’re here.”
“I will.”
“Thank you, Draco... This actually means a lot.” Juri said, getting up and grabbing her books with ease.
Draco smirked quietly to himself, noting the sudden glow about her at the idea that she would no longer have to spend all her time taking in the depressing sight of her... friend... being so sickly pale. “I’m sure it does.”
When Draco was sure that she’d gone, he turned to Harry, removing his wand from his robes. “Just you and me now, Potter.”
He tapped the nightstand, and a small packet appeared on the tabletop. Then he opened the packet, and with great ease, dumped a neatly piled deck of cards into this hand, which he promptly began to shuffle.
“Aces go high. I’ll deal.” Draco sighed. “Damn, it’s going to be boring playing Texas Hold Up with someone who’s unconscious.”
CRYSTAL ALLIANCE ATTACKED!!
IS IRCHARNA INITIATING AN INTERGALACTIC WAR?
Only a few short months after the Irchranian royals signed numerous peace treaties with the leaders of the Crystal Alliance, meteorites reigned down upon the Earth. The Queen and Prince managed to shield most of our world, through the expense of tremendous will power and the raw, ancient magic that flows through their veins, as a sign of who and what they are. As a result, the casualties, though many, were nowhere near as numerous and severe as they could've been. Four managed direct impact on Earth, one in the Atlantic Ocean, one in the Pacific Ocean, a short distance away from Japan; frighteningly close to the Tsuki Isle and the Crystal Palace, one in South America; thankfully in the Amazon jungle and not near any large cities, and the final one landed in Northern China.
The first two disturbed the tides and created tidal waves that the Senshi of Water and Ice; Sailor Neptune and Sailor Mercury, immediately set out to deal with. Afterwards, Lady Neptune headed to the Amazon, to help Sailor Mars with the spreading forest fires, and Lady Mercury headed for China, to assist the wounded while trusting Sailors Jupiter and Uranus to handle the avalanches and earthquakes that the strike resulted in. Sailor Venus was forced to take on the most severe responsibility, as both the Queen and Prince were sent into semi-comatose states, which healers are certain they shall wake from as soon as they've recovered enough strength, that left the Lady Venus, one of Queen Serenity's closest blood-relatives from the Silver Millenium, in charge of the Crystal Court, and therefore the many problems that the attack resulted in.
Earth was not the only target of this attack. No. Every planet in the higher, active levels of the Crystal Alliance was targeted, and struck. However, the other Alliance members didn't have the instant protection of the Ruler of the Cosmos, and her Ginzuishou, and therefore suffered far more casualties. The worst of the scenarios were the planets that were struck with meteors with Deuro Segni Mors Mortis growing on them. As the antidote for these completely venomous plants only grows on Ircharna, the world that spawned them, thousands have fallen ill, and some have already died, from the spores that were released into the air...
Please see Attack, on A-2
"Venus-sama."
"Hai!" The Sailor Senshi spun around swiftly, to pin the present offender with a piercing, half-mad gaze, only to blink in surprise and draw back with a deep breath as she realized who she was now speaking to. "Oh, Naoko-sama, summisen," she sighed, " Nande desu ka?"
"You have been running for nearly two days straight, come, have ryokucha with me." Juri's mother ordered, her cobalt gaze hard as she gestured to the tea set a nearby servant was carrying.
"Iie, arigato, demo--"
"I insist," the lady cut in, taking hold of the Venusian's arm, "You must rest. Sit down, take a deep breath, relax. Serenity-sama would not want you to wear yourself out on her account."
"Demo…" Minako shook her head almost desperately, her eyes still wide. "I have to keep going. I can't stop! Sere-sama handles this all the time, I can't let her down! I have--"
"Iie, Serenity-sama doesn't handle all of this on her own, she accepts all of the help we have to offer. That's what the courts exist for, to help. So let us help you. Or this won't work…. And it needs to work."
End of Chapter 28
Translations: I honestly don't remember if there was anything important that wasn't already translated. Sorry if there was.
Jess S
Lady Cinnibar - LOL, I suppose so.
But this update took awhile, didn't it? Sorry…really, I am… V-Star and I have had a lot going on lately. Exams, reports, homework, labs, etc… I actually have two history projects, an English paper, and another Chem lab due… sigh So, I really am sorry about making you wait so long, but all that combined with writers block wasn't easy to work with… It's even more annoying that we actually have the rest of the story (and most of the sequel) outlined, and yet we can't seem to finish it! …Having never finished a story before, this saddens me. L
But you are, nonetheless, quite welcome to whatever joy this vindictive story may give you. What's the music today?
Rachel A. Prongs - ...It makes sense to me, because I know someone whose exactly like Harry in many respects. She's a cousin of mine, and she absolutely terrible with Chemistry, and anything else that involves mixing things. (Really, you don't want to eat anything she tries to make!) So Harry knows most of the things he's supposed to (from raw-studying), he just isn't very good at doing it!
LOL, not a problem. I suppose the set up did beg the question.
And yes, Juri (was/is) annoyed with Draco. After all, Harry's been probably her best friend since she was brought to the palace really little. Of course she wouldn't like his being endangered.
Aluracom - Glad to hear it.
LOL, yes I suppose he was acting like that a lot, wasn't he?
Headncloud - Thank you
Sorry about the wait...Although, I have to agree. A long wait is better than a discontinuation.
Pheonixrising1 - Thank you, I'm glad you liked it so much.
LOL, yeah sorry about that wait, and this one. Actually, Consanguina should be ready fairly soon...Although I do think I updated at some point after you left this review...At least I hope I did...Sorry if I didn't...
Princess Amara of Conte - Umm...ok... That's all right.
It's just that their are some things that we're pretty much going to stick to the story with, although most of them may be (at least) slightly altered.
Really? I never would have guessed... Glad you feel better, though. And that you like our fic, of course!
LOL...Don't worry about it. No biggie.
Any luck remembering what you forgot?
Sorry, we try to be relatively careful with OC's. We're debating writing a sequel to Lady Serenity. We probably will, but it's not quite decided, yet.
Oh, they may not come into play much more in this fic, but, if we do write a sequel they will have much more predominant roles...
Ran Hoshino - Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.
LOL, yes, it was a bit obvious, wasn't it?
Shortnsassy - LOL, we do plan on finishing this story. And as long as the person that's been flaming us goes away, I have no doubt that we will.
Does your friend, Amy, know much Japanese?
Azula - Winces ...umm...Thank you. Sorry about that...
Szelij - Thank you... Umm...yes, we are.
I don't know why other people might have Japanese incorporated in their stories. But I want it their simply because I think it adds to both the flavor and the authenticity of the story... Even if may irritate certain dullards with far too much time on their hands... (Not you).
Don't worry, we probably won't be doing much with Ginny...or Hermione. I think it's pretty obvious who Hermione's going to end up with... Ginny may have a more predominant role later on. But, for now, we just think her crush is cute. And it can add a little depth to the story.
Umm...You want Harry paired with Princess Ciardha? ... Why? Honestly, that's all I can think of, in response. And, considering what happened in this chapter, I'm afraid that probably won't be happening...
Sigh And I'm afraid Juri and Harry are only friends. There is no chemistry between them. I think we've brushed on it a little before, and we probably will later, but Harry and Juri aren't interested in each other (romantically) at all. Sorry...
What's wrong with Draco? Admittedly I'm not particularly fond of the cannon Draco, but this ones a little better, I thought... At least he's not a complete and hopelessly spoiled brat...
No one - Umm...glances up at response to Szelij's review...Do you two no each other? ... Because I really can't see any chemistry between Harry and Juri or Ciardha.
I suppose that that could be a possibility...Not very liked though, considering Harry and Juri's history...
Rogue1615 - LOL, yeah, a prince.
Thank you, I'm glad you're enjoying it so far.
LOL...Yes, that would be interesting, wouldn't it? Pictures Lady Ezakiya and Hermione trying to explain to Ron the reasons for the place mat settings, and why he shouldn't use the inner fork/spoon first...
Berri516 - Thank you, glad you like it so much.
Cough Cough damn, someone else actually noticed! Sigh Yes, I'd thought that too, but you have to realize, they just got back from Christmas break! ... But Sirius has made an appearance now!
LOL, oh no, we like compliments! You can never say enough! ...Well, actually... over 500 words might be pushing it...
Serpent of Light - Thank you, glad you like it so much.
LOL, yes, Draco does need to realize that, doesn't he? At least he's making progress.
Tourmaline - Thank you.
LOL, yes, anime addiction can be a problem.
Glad to hear you like this so far.
Yes, he has to be...Although he wasn't always like that...but you'll see more of that later. Glances at outline for Prince Harry's childhood Yes, puns are fun, aren't they? ...And that sounded really weird...
LOL, yes, Draco will need to lost a bit of the Malfoy persona if he wants to get anywhere with Juri, won't he?
You didn't have any trouble finding the group, did you?
Neo Queen Serenity - LOL...Thank you, very much.
Yes, we are geniuses, aren't we? Smirks
I'm glad you like the story so far. That means a lot, we've put a lot of effort into making it work. Again, thank you, and sorry about the wait.
Raylenesnape - Sigh I really am terribly sorry about this wait. You really watched Sailor Moon for the first time because of this story? Wow. What'd you think? This really doesn't stick very close to the canon for S.M.
Lucy - LOL, thank you. Hmm... I may write about Harry's time at Goluden Sora... but first I really have to reorganize my thoughts and remember what I was writing about for this story. Sorry for the wait.

AN: Once again, V-Star and I are sorry for both the dreadfully lengthy wait you had to endure for this chapter, and the fact that we haven't the slightest idea of when the next chapter will be ready.
Sigh We are very close to the end of this (the first) part of the LS Series, but we unfortunately haven't been able to concentrate at all on this story. We are attempting to wrap it up, so that we can move onto the sequels (which have been part of the problem, seeing as we find them quite a bit more interesting then their predecessor), but when that'll happen... only time will tell.
Thank you for reading. Once again, sorry about the wait. Feedback is always appreciated. And hopefully the next chapter will be ready soon.
Goodbye for now.
