Umm this started out as a harmless fanart. Where Subaru was a cop, but when I finished him he looked more like Rent a cop then an actual cop, then I had the brilliant idea to a background and one thing led to another and this was born.

Life at the mall

Subaru Sumeragi forced a single green eye open. He was having the nicest dream one where him the man of his dreams (Seishirou, not that he would ever admit it) ruled over the 8th dimension

He glared at the clock and groaned it was time for work.

Work as the Thirtieth Head of Security at the Shinken mall.

As he searched for his clothes he glanced at his work calendar and started to cruse. Every one he tried to avoid would be at the mall to day, finally finding his pants he cursed the soul of that fucked up boss of his Hinoto. He swore that bitch lived to see him and others suffer. But mostly him.

Sighing he left his crappy cheap studio apartment and headed to the mall. Swearing he kill that Sorata teenager if he heard one more rent a cop crack. -

Subaru waked around slowly not evening looking up, why the hell he? It would just be a waste of valuable eyesight. To his right was Victoria secret when that girl Karen walked around all the time in merchandise. she seamed nice and never once made fun of his profession and she was one of the few employees that he didn't mind smoking in the back with.

To his left was the pet shop he used to enjoy that shop a lot until the owner hired his niece Yuzuriha, now that pain in the ass fourteen year old was always accidentally leaving the cages open, and he'd have to go find what ever animal that had escaped. And they always end up some place small a dirty.

Behind him on the right by the stairs was the gun shop where that freak Kusanagi worked, not that he had any thing against owning a gun but that weirdo had found out that the Fourteen year had a crush on him, so instead of being a normal person and let the child down easy or just plain forget about it. he chose go in to the pet shop every time that she was working and flirt with the kid, usually leading to her leaving a cage or two open. Resulting in more work for him.

In font of him was and ice cream stand and a dip and dots. This had to be his second most hated spot in the mall, and it was movie X fault, two teenagers worked there one by the Name Kamui Shiro and the other Fuma Monou. They had been really close friends up to the point when they went to see the movie, after words Kamui confessed that he originally was offered a choice between both jobs and he chose the ice cream stand and the dip and dots stand job went to Fuma, Fuma wasn't to happy about this. So he denounced their friendship and started to sexually harass the younger boy, not that he blamed the Fuma. Kamui was kind of cute.

But that wasn't the problem at hand. No it was that Fuma could never just handle his problems on his own. No! he had to hand drag every one who worked at the mall in to it. And not to mention since he broke his little friendship up he had turned Kamui in to a whinny brat. Constantly mumbling "I want Fuma back."

Up stairs to his left was the mattress store where Kakyou worked; Kakyou seamed to hate his job just as much as he did witch normally would put him on 'I'm not going to kill you with a gun as soon as Kusanagi finally sells me one.' List. But the man used to date his sister, never mind the fact she dumped him two days before she died it was the principle of the matter. And if that wasn't enough to piss him off he caught Fuma and Kakyou going at it on one of the waterbeds.

Satsuki worked next to the mattress outlet at radio shack she seamed to really like the computers and was always there, she seamed to be bored with mall life and spent most of her time ether on or fixing computers. Subaru hated to admit it but he loved when she screamed at the costumers for having their computers in such bad shape, he always got to use his stun gun.

Nataku was up the stairs in the food court. He worked at Wendy's, no one at the mall wasn't exactly sure of what Nataku's gender really was, well maybe Karen and Fuma knew Subaru had seen them hanging out once or twice out side the mall.

Seiichirou was down the west wing of them mall right past the food court to his left. Seiichirou was the manager of the Barns and nobles. he was nice and normal. He was a little to close Karen but Subaru didn't really blame him what strait male would not want to be best friends with a girl that walks around in sexy nightys all the time?

Then there was Sorata and Arsahi. They both worked at Kb toys stores while Arsahi worked. Sorata only played with the toys. Sorata pissed him off with undying passion, and he was just itching for a chance to use his stun gun on him, he only consolation was when ever he tried to hit on his fellow coworker she would beat the living day lights out of him.

And then there was.

"Hello Subaru-kun" an all to pleasant voice spoke behind him.

Subaru turned around slowly to see Seishirou smiling at him, and innocently leaning on a broom. Subaru glared at the older man. Opened his mouth to say some thing nasty but it turned in to "that time of year again?" the older man had convinced Hinoto to replace the fake plastic trees in the mall to Sakura trees. Hinoto agreed, but when they started to go bear she made him clean it up.

"Yes I'm afraid so." He took a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it. "I was having the nicest dream about the both of us we had just defeated the monkey king and were ruling over the 8th dimension. When Hinoto called and informed me that my trees where shedding again." he took out another cigarette and slipped in to the younger boys mouth then lit it. "Please come by my family store today the flowers miss you."

Subaru waited until the ambered eyed man was out on sight, and with all his being held back the urge to jump up and down yelling 'I hate that man why wont he die in some horrible pain ridden way.'

"Subaru!" a sharp females voice came from behind him.

Subaru turned to see his boss standing there. "How many times do I have to tell you? Stop smoking in my mall!"

Subaru shrugged not really caring "you could fire me."

The shorter woman fumed "you would like that wouldn't you. No I'm not going to give you that satisfaction you'll be working for me till the day you die."

"Or till I kill you." Subaru mumbled

She glared at him "that reminds me, we have a staff meeting in a hour."

"What the hell is this?" Subaru asked every one he was trying to avoid was sitting in the staff room. Not to mention the only seat that was free was next to Seishirou.

"Just take a seat Subaru."

Grumbling he went to his seat he glanced at Seishiou, he wasn't in his usual suit. He was wearing a tea shirt that say in red and white letters 'some call it stalking I call in love'

"Next week we have that baseball game against best buy." Hinoto narrowed her eyes at the group "and since I don't want to repeat last year humiliation."

"But last year was our best game ever they where only 421 points a head of us." Yuzuriha chirped.

The shot women glared at the fourteen year old. "I'm sending you all on mandatory weekend escape to a base ball training came, you have and half hour to get ready."

"But I'm not even on the team." Nataku stated.

"Well you are now."

"I'm not going if you send my sister along to," Fuma sated. Kotori was Hinoto's assistant, and a pain in every ones ass except for Kamui.

"She wont be going now every one go get ready."

Out side the Mall there was two busses. one was going to a hot springs for the weekend and the other to baseball camp for the weekend. The grouped looked from one bus to the other the hot springs one was nice and had a bathroom in the back and the other looked like hell on wheels. The group looked from the nice bus to the crappy one.

"Ok!" Fuma said smiling " lets not kid our self's we suck at baseball and were all pretty horny. all in favor of going to the hot springs say I."

There was a course of I's. Fallowed by every one getting on the nice bus.

Fumma sat next to Subaru and smiled with a strange glint in his eye. "This promises to be fun weekend."
