This challenge is inspired by a very cliché plot device that I've seen used a lot in this fandom, though it rarely appears to ever get completed, therefor the idea never has a chance to redeem itself.

SO, if you're stuck for an idea for your FanFic, your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to rehabilitate the following cliché plot line:

Wolf and Virginia's child/children have been living on their own in New York as orphans after their parents were summoned back to The Nine Kingdoms. Wolf and Virginia never returned and haven't been heard from since. The child/children are eventually summoned to The Nine Kingdoms as teenagers in high school in order to find/rescue their parents.

Common subplots and themes typically include:

-The children being left when they were babies or up to no more than 5 years old. -The children continuing to live in Virginia's Central Park apartment despite being orphans. -The children having tails and a milder form of Wolf's reaction to the moon (ie: irritability), though they don't know why as they don't remember their parents. -The children having no knowledge of The Nine Kingdoms. -The children resenting their parents, thinking that Wolf and Virginia simply abandoned them, and they often get into fights at school due to their anger at their parents. -The children usually being 16-18 and juniors/seniors in high school when they're finally called to The Nine Kingdoms.

Are you up to the challenge? If so, here are some ideas to consider when developing your basic story-line:

-Why were Wolf and Virginia called back to The Nine Kingdoms? Was it a simple trip gone wrong, or another crisis? -Why were the children left behind? Did Wolf and Virginia fully intend to return, or did they leave the children behind to protect them? Or were the children actually with them, but returned to New York for safety at Wolf and Virginia's request/urging? -Why did Wolf and Virginia never return from The Nine Kingdoms? -Why did it take almost two decades before the children were summoned to The Nine Kingdoms? Who summoned them? -How did the children manage on their own for all this time living in the Central Park apartment? Were they truly orphans, or did they have some adult help, such as Virginia's grandmother or The Murrays (perhaps still under the spell of Tony's wish from the Magic Dragon Dung Bean)?
