He chuckled.

"I don't repeat myself to Deadlings. Now turn around and go back away from here."

"..." Rachel frowned. "...Trace back down."

Trace growled ferally as the markings became more prominent.

Rachel's eyes glowed as she turned around and stared at Trace.

"Stand. Down. alkenhayn please go talk to that man about why we should not go up to the Hatchery."

"Yes Mistress." Valkenhayn bowed before walking to the man.

Trace was still growling but didnt move.

"Trace. That man could easily destroy you if what you said sbout being dead is true. I could ot smell anything from him. He had....almost a ghost of an pulse."

Eric looked at alkenhayn "You here to get rid of me or something?"

"He threatened Maeve...." Trace growled.

"No, my Mistress merely wishes to inquire as to why you say we will die up there." Valkenhayn told Eric.

"Aren't you a cruel one?" Maeve answered with a grin in response to the threat, calling forward over the butler. "I can appreciate a fellow sadist..."

After doing so, however, she crossed her arms and snorted. "I'm getting sick of running into these non-hypnotizable types. The next weak-minded fool I run into I'm having make me a strawberry tart and then cut off their own pinkie toes just for fun..." She then turned sweetly to her group with a fair smile. "Would you like me to have them make you one too, mistress?"

"...Yes that'd be nice."

"There is a war that is going to conspire, and I want to save myself the trouble of trying to reap more souls then nessescary."

Trace was still growling.

"I see.....and what do you know of this supossed war?"

"See, Trace? You're already rubbing off on me." Maeve spoke up, trying to express more of her crazed view of the world...but also trying to distract him. She believed what her mistress said and she didn't want Trace killing himself. After all, she knew a thing about sadistic types...and this fellow looked more than willing to off him without hesitation. "Yesterday, I would have cut off all their fingers for fun. This time I'm just sticking with a toe."

"Dragons. That's all I know. Dragons and...what you all call 'Keepers' are gunna go at it like cats and dogs."

"But Maeve, he threatened you....." Trace said, the markings pulsating.

"I see....thank you for the information."

Maeve perked up a bit on hearing this.

"He's right." She announced out loud. "That big powerful dragon who gave me the Crown of Eris, he got me to do something for him. First he made sure I cut off all the supply routes to the Great Northern Mountains so that the Keepers of Twilight can't get any support. Then he told me to go kill a Duke up in these mountains."

That's the nature of chaos...randomly deciding that any information was free to share.

"Chick. Who wins is no care of mine. I just send the souls of the dead on their merry ol way." Eric glanced at her with a shrug.

"Really?" She asked. "In that case, how's my tally doing at the moment? I'm assuming if you were to send me along, I'd be going straight to Hell. I know I would if this was yesterday, and I haven't changed that much. But who knows? Maybe I'll get surprised."

((Maybe she will...Terra help's those who help themselves.))

"Heh. Maybe. You never really know until you go. Unlike the three deadlings and the cat with you. You have a limited time. When it'll be your time. I unno. But ya...maybe you'll get surprised and go to Hell no matter what? Maybe you'll go to Heaven because you've changed. I can't tell you."

"Heh...I'm leaning toward the first of those two." Maeve answered. "After all...you really think anyone is 'good enough' for there?"

She paused momentarily, but then snickered.

"Then again...my mistress, a vampire, had mercy and pity on me of all things, along with a person who just met me and I tried to greet with killing him. And I doubt any righteous god would let themselves be outdone by them..." She turned to them. "No offense, either of you."

Maeve turned back and gave a shrug to the individual. "Sorry to ruin your day by being such a nuisance, but I haven't been this devoted to chaos for so long and not expected to die at any time. You'll just simply have one more soul to take care of if things go ill for me. A big strong fellow like you could handle it, right?"

"It aunt just me so....Yeah I guess so." Eric chuckled.

"I like ya. Your spunky."

Rachel shrugged "No offense taken."

"Well, being a raving psychopath with highly sadistic tendancies does make one rather chipper." Maeve answered with a smile. Then, abruptly, she reached over and wrapped her arms tightly around Trace.

"But if you're coming on to me, sorry big guy. Already taken."

[And...I've got to drive home, so I'll be absent for a bit.]

Trace's eyes narrowed at Eric.

"Are we done here?"

He then immediately lost all ferocity the moment Maeve wrapped her arms around him and said she was taken. Instead, he had a goofy grin.

"No worries. I'm on the other side anyway." Eric let out a laugh.

"Well if you and the Deadlings wanna go ahead - fine by me. I just came to give you a warning."

"Thanks for the warning, but we've encountered worse." Liximon said.

"Well anyway. Might as well walk with ya. I have a feeling if I hurry back my colleague will hit me for intetupting a conersaion or sometthin'..."

Rachel shrugged.

"Why not?"

"Wait....he's joining us?" Trace asked, not pleased with the notion.

"He already stated he's gay so you do not hae to worry about Maeve." Rachel said deadpannedly earning a chuckle from the blonde reaper.

"Its the fact he THREATENED Maeve thats making me have a hard time trusting him."

"It wasn't a threat against her. I can't attack someone not meant to die unless they attack me first."

"........Im beginning to like you less than most people..."

"I don't know. I like his attitude." Rachel chuckled.

"He likes messing with you. It entertains me."
