Rainbow was about to stand up angrily, but Derik held her down.

"it's best to keep your little girlfriend back, if she knows what's good for her" Christy said.

"all right, that's it!" Rainbow yelled, pulling out of Derik's grip.

"ACK!" Derik yelped. "Dashie! NO!" He instantly lept up to tackle Rainbow, who had started to open her wings to take flight.

(why am i imagining this scene in slow mo? XD)

he landed on her, causing them both to fall. "OOF!"

(I can totally imagine O_O xD Dude, I got ALOT written so far on my story :D I'm liking it so far..)

Rainbow strugged to get free.

(lol, thank goodness i'm not the only one XD and YAY!!! can't wait to read thw whole thing =D)

"no Dashie, calm down!" Derik said, struggling to hold her back.

(Heck, it looks long o.o)

Dashie growled and continued to struggle.

(lol, that's all right! i like reading long stuff XD)

Derik was strugglig more to hold her back. "Dashie, clam down, Chris didn't mean what she said, she's only trying to ruin things for us!"

Derik held Dashie tightly until she finally calmed down.

Derik sighed, "Ok?"

Rainbow sighed. "yeah, i guess" she grumbled.

"Good," Derik sighed.

Rainbow sighed, folding her hooves across her chest, looking grumpy.

Rainbow glared at the cat. "Would you go away!?"

the cat ignored her and kept playing the piano.

Rainbow kicked it out the window.

the cat went O.O then did a Darth Vader style "NNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!"

Derik blinked, "Uh...alright..."

the cat hissed at him.

Derik hissed back.

the cat went O.O, obviously not expecting Derik to hiss back.

The cat ran off.

"And now Mr. Burns has something he'd like to say to us," said the Mayor. Mr. Burns walked over.

Just looking at him was enough to scare the bejeezus out of Derik and Rainbow.

(Sorry, I like the word bejeezus now xD)

Rainbow went O.O when she saw Burns. "ugh" she hid behind Derik. who in turn tried to hide behind her.

(xD Cause the other day I was reading my ebook Harry Putter (It's a spoof based off Harry Potter) and in one part, the teacher was teaching the class about Genies, or Efreets, and he had brought one in a bottle. And so the genie got out of the bottle, and he had a freaky description, and he said "Ah, children! Delicious!" and it said: His deep, booming voice was enough to scare the bejeesus out of the students. xD I was like "What does Bejeesus mean?" I avoided saying that before I asked my mom what it meant, and she said "crap" xD so I'm like, "Oh..I guess I can say it" xD)

"No way, Derik!" Rainbow said. "He scares me more!"

(lol XD)

"no, he scares me more!"

"does not!"

"does too!"

"ahem!"

the two froze and looked up at Burns. he narrowed his eyes at them. "are you two quite finished?"

Derik blinked, and hid behind Rainbow. "Yep!" he said.

Rainbow glared at him. he grinned sheepishly.

Christy facepalmed, "Oi....."

Finally, FINALLY, after what felt like a century, the meeting was over.

Of course, Derik and Rainbow had fallen asleep in the middle of it.

they were lying on their backs with the tops of their heads touching. Derik was snoring quite loudly.

Christy smirked evily and pulled out a video camera. Derik snored loudly again, his foot twitching a bit.

Lori couldn't help but snicker. After awhile, she had to kick Derik awake.

"Derik, go to bed," she said. "You're sleeping on the floor."

"Nuh," Derik mumbled tiredly.
