Good. The focus should be on the characters and why they are in Silent Hill, what makes it interesting is their problems not the monsters.

well I don't want it just to be running around killing monsters of silent hill. That seems pointless in the Silent Hill sense. Sometimes the psychology in the games are forgotten. I do want fighting but just as real characters with reasons they are there. Whether accidental or it called to them. XD

So... I got it! Their on a bus thats heading there. Wether they meet or not is up to you. The bus crashes after it starts to get foggy and we're the only survivors?

Sure. We can have them meet up but during some periods they can separate for some Silent hill solo horror. Sure though sounds sound.

maybe we should have like a topic for puzzle creation too... puzzles are what make Silent Hill so delightfully infuriating!

Also on a side note: SH games you have played in order of preference (so least favourite - favourite) I've played or seen walkthroughs of SH, SH2, SH3, SH4, SH0, Homecoming, SH:SM and Downpour so heregoes.

8. Origins. It's a good game with good story in terms of horror games but it's.... mediocre for a Silent Hill game..

7. Homecoming. I LOVED the plot but it was too combat-based and Pyramind Head has been used to death and back again...

6. Shattered Memories. It was cool but kinda boring in places... I liked the idea of having to run from enemies rather than fighting them.. But I don't know how I feel about how they changed the plot of the first and third silent hill game...

5. Downpour. The game itself had a great plot and I am kind of in love with Murphy Pendleton but the monsters lacked something about them. The void was annoying and I couldn't enjoy the otherworld the way I wanted too... Also as good as the plot is, I wish it had been more important in the game.

4. Silent Hill (original!): What can I say? It started it all! Though some characters are cliche and the voice acting is a little..... laughable at times... It really was a revolution in survival horror!

3. Silent Hill 3: It was a good wrap up to the first game and had some scary as hell otherworlds and was the reason I couldn't walk into a dark room forever... Claudia and Vincent are great.. Heather annoyed me at first but she grew on me... Some of the areas were a bit slow and some of the scares were cheap.

2. Silent Hill 4: The Room. I admit that SH3 is a better game overall but SH4 holds a special place in my heart because it was the first Silent Hill game I played. I don't understand why people don't like it... Harry lacks development sure but the symbolism and imagery and plot are great! Walter is an amazing villain imo!

1. Silent Hill 2: What can I say? This game moves me in a way I can't explain.. The music, the areas, the characters, the imagery, the symbolism... something about it seems so beautiful to me... possibly my favourite game ever...

Yeah... I'll try to make up some puzzles but I can't promise them to be very good... Also I'll make a few monsters for us to encounter...

Just to warn you though... don't mention the SH movie around me... I take serious issue with that.... whatever you call it. .

SH2 was my favourite too.

YAY! James is great. He is a fascinating character and I love the way he develops...

I could go through all the male SH characters I'm in love with xP James, Vincent (from SH3), Henry (from 4), Walter (again.), Alex (from homecoming, didn't like the game but yeah xP) and Murphy from Downpour...

people think I'm weird cause I get fangirly about SH characters xD

with Henry I like to think that being a hermit in his apartment has kind of hindered how he emotionally reacts to things... But he does seem to still care... He tries to help people... But the best character from Silent Hill 4 is Walter Sullivan....

Yes I like Alex's character although what ruined it for me was the game he was in... Homecoming had a lot of potential in terms of plot but I hated how they recycled pyramid head for the 50000000000000059586950th time, and the sexy nurses from sh2..... and I hate how they tried to make the movie almost canon (I think I liked one scene in the movie but most of it I HATED WITH A BURNING PASSION..) and they made it gorey.... Silent Hill isn't gorey... it's unsettling, creepy and subtly disturbing... and homecoming had almost no puzzles :(

Murphy's an interesting character... Without giving away too much, basically he's been hardened up by prison and seems cold and unfeeling but.... you learn that he's actually a very deep character..... although the monsters in downpour were kind of... lame... and the combat was annoying as hell... but if you have enough patience, the plot is definitely worth playing the game for...

K, who's your favourite female character from the Silent Hill series? Personally, Claudia Wolf from Silent Hill 3. She's just got so many different layers to her.

Pyramid Head should have ended where it began. Silent Hill 2. Don't get me wrong, he was AWESOME in Silent Hill 2. But for the movie, Origins (which is technically the punisher/executioner or whatever but pretty much the same thing) and Homecoming they completely changed his meaning... Pyramid Head was meant to be a personal punisher for James... Not fanservice.. but yeah...

Shattered Memories has a really interesting take on the plot to the first and third game... I don't know if I like how they created all this speculation with the game.. but it was cool....

I liked original Lisa and Shattered Memories Lisa but Origins Lisa... was..... * shudder *

Did your character come from any inspiration? Whether it be a real life person or a fictional character (Silent Hill or other characters)? I'm curious.

Ah. Well for Lily her character is also slightly based off of James but I based a lot of her off of Angela Orosco... .. I alsoIn terms of like her past and the fact that she's submissive.. I also kind of take inspiration from Sophie, from How'ls Moving Castle....

Adam is based off of Dally from the outsiders as well as Murphy Pendleton from downpour, Vincent from Silent Hill 3 and Wes from "Wanted" the movie.

Their bios are true to real life. Lily has subconsciously blocked out the memory of setting the fire (basically she has post traumatic stress disorder and sometimes that happens)... Adam remembers his past but pretends it doesn't bother him

But yeah I spent a lot of time on these characters because I plan on writing my own "Silent Hill" adventure... So feedback on the characters and monsters I create will be graciously accepted :)
