Okay, before we begin, there are a few rules to follow. Please read them.

1. This rp is canon only, meaning no original characters. Why you ask? Because in the X-Men universe alone there are thousands of characters, most of which only made one or two appearances in the comics, and therefore have no history, so you can be as creative as you want.

2. To make things less complicated, the following will not be permitted:

No Magic. While your character might have benefited from esoteric studies (meditation, ceremonial magick, yoga, etc.), these studies won't give them any special powers. No Soulswords, no Belasco and Limbo, no demons, angels, gods, vampires or other mythical creatures. You are welcome to use characters like Illyana Rasputin, Amanda Sefton or Selene if you wish, just remember to incorporate them into the game.

No Alternate Dimensions/Time Travel. Your character is not the child/grandchild of another character from a dystopian alternate future where mutants are hunted by gigantic robots or were a mutant from the sixteenth century mistaken for a witch. There will be no mutants from alternate realities either. This includes Mojoverse. Your character is from the same timeline and dimention as everyone else. Again, if you want to use such characters as Cable, Rachel Summers or anyone from the 2099 universe, please make sure they fit in the game.

All superhuman abilities were brought on by genetic mutation, not cosmic rays, radioactive spiders or what have you. This brings me to another point. No immortality. Sure, characters like Wolverine and Sabretooth can live longer than the rest of us due to their healing factors, but they will die eventually. No one lives forever, not even mutants.

No aliens. For the most part, the Shi'ar billions of lightyears away and unaware of our existence which will likely be the way things will go until we develop Interstellar travel. Of course, that won't be happening for a few hundred years or so. Characters like Flashfire, Lilandra, Gosamyr and Longshot can be used, but as I've said before, you need to rework their history so they fit into the game. And definitely no Phoenix Force.

No clones of other characters. This game takes place in the real world, and we we're not even close to cloning a human being. A sheep, maybe. But not a human.
