Topic: Our obessions with pairing people

I'm just being curious but along with Bones and Booth who else do you like being paired?

In 'Bones'? Well, I don't really think about other pairings in 'Bones' except Booth and Brennan. Their relationship kind of stands out. However, I read some stories with pairings like Angela and Booth. That pairing isn't that bad either.

I meant in other T.V. shows because along with bone and booth I have this crazy obession with Scully and Mulder from the X-files and Grissom and sara from csi i was just wondering what other people thought?

yep - sara and gris are soooo made for each other. I have heard that Cath and Warrick get together at the end of this season - which is strange 'cause he's married; before I learned of his marriage I was rooting for them too.

Booth and Bones obviously - the only in Bones that I'm soooo knowing HAS to happen. I don't thing Ange would do that to Bren - you know, date Booth.

In Cold Case I've been wanting Scotty and Lil to get together, but the chances are probably the least likely of all patner pairing shows. I can't believe that ** slept with her sister.

House - I was up for House/Cameron...then he slept with Stacy for a night and she got high and screwed Chase. I heard they're gonna get together more full term 'cause the actors are dating.

CSI: NY I was all up for Danny and Aiden - then she left, but she said she'll maybe come back some time - so all hope not lost.

I could go on - like with Sam and Jack on Stargate (I know he's left but there has been ALOT of hints) but I'm not sure it would ever end. Lol. TTFN

OMG i love HOUSE too i was hopeing for that thing between him and cameron to work out also but we cant all get our way. Another pair i have an obession for was bobby and alex on law and order CI I dont know if it'll happened they seem more like really good friends

They were going to go full time, yes.. but they aren't dating anymore. Jesse and Jennifer broke up recently. And I've met them together in L.A., and I asked. Unless they were lying, but they said they were just really close friends. But anyhoo-- favorite t.v. couple pair, either Booth/Bones or George Michael/Maeby from Arrested Development

ok, ok pairings are great and all, but i have to say i like the anti-typical pairings or no pairings with the exception of bones. Bones and Booth are a definite thumbs up. House, eh im not too sure about the whole house/cameron thing--to be honest i really dont think a stable relationship really fits with house's character at this point in time, but hey, maybe later on down the road and if cameron matures some. CSI, once again, against the norm, i'm not a fan of grissom and sara--its not a bad pairing but i guess i've read sooo many grissom/sara fics that to me it's like beating a dead horse you know? But hey, that's just me. I'm also an avid fan of Numb3rs in which once again the typical pairing is charlie/amita which is ok, but once again, its been overdone in the fandom and frankly i'm bored with it. But, hey who knows--maybe i'm just being difficult:) I'm more curious than anything to see where the writers of the shows take the realtionships--meanwhile in fanfiction i tend to avoid typical pairing fics unless there's humor involved, then i dont mind so much. At any rate, that's just what i think. Go ahead, tell me i'm full of crap--i won't mind in the least bit:)

I thing the best pairings are those involving humour. I think thats why Booth/Bones goes SOOO well - they have natural humour in the show already. Sometimes hes a jerk and sometimes shes a bit off a - well, what Booth said - a 'smart **'. Whenever I do pairings, I always add humour. It's just the best. I did it with Cold Case and, ehem, still are. If I wrote others, I'd do it with them too. I'm actually thrilled cause I got a great review from a writer on here I admire about a scene I was sooo unsure and embarrassed about. You know, cause it was all romancey. I couldn't help throwing some humour in at the end of scene though. Lol.

okay i love pairings.

BONES - its only booth and bones

HOUSE - camron and house all the way. does anyone else think that house is so sexy. i don't know what it is but he is. cause older men are not my type, but house oh my goodness!!!

GREY'S ANATOMY - mer and derek. yes i know he is married, but he is married to a bag so he should dumb her, but i know that he won't so that sucks!

GRENERAL HOSPITAL- sonny and emily. i know its a soap but i love them together. its just a great show. what can i say i love it.

i have to say i am a romantic, so thats why i love pairings. but the one i hope that will come first is booth and bones cause they would be the most fun to watch cause bones character is just so funny that she doesn't know pop culture and booth can theacher as they go on. like last night when she didn't know what clue was, i was laughing so hard, and the stuff that she does know is just as funny cause how would she know the movie and never heard of clue!!

Ok, in bones, apart from the rather obvious BB, I think I'd like Angela and Hogins. Weird, huh? I know. In CSI, I love GSR, although I have to say I have no problem with the GC ship, but after this season's finale I don't think its nowhere near pssible. In Cold Case, Lilly and Scotty and I'm confident that they will eventually get toghether, even with the whole Christina mess. In Grey's anatomy, Mer and Der, I don't care if his married. In ER, I used to love Carter and Abby, but I know now that it'll never happen so I'm happy settled with Luka and Abby. WaT, Martin and Sam, definitively.... OMG, I've just realized that I really love shipping.

well, in Bones the usual funny funny Booth and Brennan couple and then for a more relaxed but still cute and romantic couple Angela and Hodgins. I don't know, but I like them together. At first I was thinkin' no way! But it's grown on me, Ange and Jack as a couple. He really seems to care for Ange.

In House, I don't really know, because the whole House/Cameron thing has started to grow on me, but not enough to say there were destined or whatever! But overall my Favorite couples are the ones hinted in the actual show.

Oh and to who ever said Ange and Booth is a good couple too, um, no. Mostly because I see their relationship as a brotherly/sisterly type thing, with an ocassional flirt as a joke between good friends, but anything else, I cringe and shudder at the thought!!!!

OMG I had completely forgot about judging amy. It's been like a couple of years, lol I didn't think anyone but me watched that. Yea did her and bruce ever end up together?

I was personally hoping for a Sara/Nick angle early on with CSI. And I thought Cathrine and Grissom would do the hover and be good friends thing that occasionally got you looking at it sideways and wonder.

Stargate is the same way, yes there are a lot of Sam/Jack shippers out there (me too), but earlier on Daniel/Sam was almost as common. Then later the unprecidented Jack/Daniel group sprung up relatively well supported.

I think that for a really good show you will get at least 1 non-scripted couple consideration. It's really all in the eyes of the beholders and what they constitute romance.

That being said, I think Bones and Booth make the most sense, but Cam causing friction is just part of the nessacary show dynamic.

No I'm fully with you on the non-typical pairing thing. Have you ever hunted for and read fic focusing on diffrent couples in the same scene just to see how all sides can view it? I've found that perticularly entertaining.

Ok, My pairings. Here goes:

BONES- Booth & Brennan (DUH!), and Hodgins & Angela

CRIMINAL MINDS- Morgan & Garcia (can you saw "Awwww!" ?)

CSI- Grissom & Sara, Warrick & Sara, Sara & Greg (yes, I like Sara!)

CSI: MIAMI- Calleigh & Speedle (I know dead guys don't make particularly good lovers, but she was so good for him!)

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES- Susan & Mike, Edie & not-Mike

GILMORE GIRLS: Lorelai & Chris, Lorelai & Luke, Rory & Logan (random sidenote: Paul Anka Rules!!)

HOUSE- House & Cameron, Me & Chase (Haha! Ok, I know thats not technically a pairing, but if you only lived in my head you'd agree!)

NCIS- Kate and Tony (same 'dead lovers rule' goes for Kate, but she was awesome, and I was ** when she died), Abby & McGee

SUPERNATURAL- Sam & Sara, Dean & Jo, Dean & one-of-numerous-1-night-stands girl (no strings, no emotions. I hate seeing Dean hurt!)

Yeah, I think that pretty much covers it. :)

Fact Vs Fiction

Alright I know I may cause uproar here, but i'm an avid reader both inside and outside the fanfiction world , and, quite frankly I've gotten bored with typical pairings. so here comes the friction making!

Bones: I love booth and bones toghther don't get me wrong but I like playing with the characters. I don't post but I have drawers full of my fic's and i've toyed with the idea of Brennan and zack, Granted it takes alot of relationship building but it is possible.

CSI: Chances are i'll cause problems here to but I like relationship building and one of my favorite to do is Cath/Greg I think they make a fun pair though I can't fault Griss and Cath either...

What does anyone else think??

I understand what your saying. I usually get bored after reading the same typical fic pairings one after another. none of us would like to admit it but we do, after I read House and Cameron (House M.D.) fics for a while I got bored and read a few Wilson and Cameron fics (don't ask why). To my suprise though there are way more House and Wilson fics, which is more proof that other people get really bored as well.

Bones: I think the Zack and Bones pairing can be worked at if your an exceptional writer and with a lot of relationship building like you said it's possible. You should post your fics, see what people think. Maybe get it put into a bones and zack c2 if there is one, if not make your own.

CSI: My personal opinon is that cath/greg fics are hard to write. You have to get rid of the maternal relationship that she has with him, and then build a new relationship. I guess it could be done but it takes a really good writer. Where as the Gris/Cath already has the 'close friend' relationship and we have proof from previous epis.

I totally agree with the whole Bones and Booth thing, and i also luv Angela and Hodgins but i also think that the whole Zack and Bones thing could be worked out with a really good writer and some creative and numerous relationship building, and it wud probably take a while, and as for Angela and Booth, i agree with the whole brother/sister thing, and i understand the whole flirty thing, i mean i do that with alot of my guy friends, so i think that they just have this mutual agreement that the other is attractive and all, but that they wud never like eachother that way but they will always enjoy flirting and all that
