Sakura123Topic: Temperance and Booth As Friends Duh, self-explanatory. A Topic for those who think Temperance and Booth are better friends and partners than a Romantic fanfiction-couple (since it hasn't happened yet). I've never read Kathy Reichs(?) Novels for BONES, so my knowledge is solely based on the Television series.:To be honest with you, Temperance and Booth would make a kind of ugly couple visually speaking. Plus it would basically kill whatever hopes I had of even watching the series all the way through to the end. Not to be rude or anything but Temperance Brennan is not a very attractive person facial wise. I'm not saying she's ugly, on the contrary. Make up only makes her look worse to be honest (eyeliner especially). After a while you put aside her looks and focus just on the compelling character ---which in reality is a good thing---. She and Booth have a good chemistry thing going on, their personalities never clash unless its about being right about something. Their funny together, notably when Booth is correcting on slang or procedures on how to deal with Crooks early on in the series. Its a riot to see Temperance jump on a crook and Booth has to straighten her out. But in the usual American tradition on Television and books, this means they have a good "Romantic" thing developing. I.E., if they so much as Flirt, stare for a long time, or tease each other about something its means they have hidden feelings for each other and are unwilling to reveal it to the other because they don't know how the other feels about the other. Putting the two of them together would be like putting a brother and sister together as a couple in my opinion. Its pretty much the same with Scully and Mulder; Watching those two kissing was the most uncomfortable thing in the world for me. And it wasn't because they took too long. I'm probably just spinning my wheels here, its probably gonna happen sometime in the near future if BONES lasts that long (longer than "Tru Calling," at least) to my disappointment. Express your thoughts here about the two as friends. Pointless? Maybe, slightly. I just needed to get that off my chest. |
