Singing "God on hiiiiigh, hear my praaaaayer. In my neeeeed, you've always be theeeerrrre..." I love Les Miserables too. "Bring Him Home" is my favorite song, but I can't sing it because I'm a girl, and it would seem very strange. Ah well.

Sorry about Vincent Valentine. I just don't like him. Me and my best friend had the bestest time poking fun at him while we watching Advent Children. I recognize that he's cool. I just don't like him. It's a preference thing. Y'all can just ignore me like I ignore the people who dislike FF6.

Anyway, yes, that advertisement. It was pure kryptonite. I couldn't stand it for the life of me.

Yes, I like-ee Freya. And I love-ee Kuja. He was my number one favorite in IX, and Freya was number two. I just like Freya's toughness and willingness to move on in spite of her own personal problems (something Vinny could learn). Kuja was just so cool, cooler than Zidane, despite his choice of wardrobe, which I tend to ignore.

(Growls at the Hojo reference) Ah well, as for my dislike of Vincent, I don't know. It's a rather long story. It all started when I was flipping through the little booklet that came with the game. At the time, I was extremely skeptical about FF7 and all things to do with it. I disliked Cloud from the moment I saw him, mainly because I didn't think he looked like a hero. But my eldest brother was chanting about what a cool villain FF7 had, so I decided to give it a shot. But I looked through the booklet first. Here were my first impressions:

Cloud: "You've got to be joking...I'll deal with it."

Aeris: "I hate pink. Love triangle? This should be interesting, not."

(flip page)

Tifa: "Looks okay. Stereotypical skimpy suit, but ah well. My vote goes to her in the triangle."

Barret: "Isn't he the one that cusses like a sailor? Looks like Mr. T."

Red XIII: "An animal? Does he talk?"

Cid: "Another Cid?"

(flip page)

Sephiroth: "Ohhhh, so THAT'S Sephiroth? He's a DUDE? From the way everyone was talking about him I thought he was a monster or something. He has...silver hair? Nice green eyes. Cute for a VG character. A lot cuter than that other one (I was referring to Cloud). Cool name too. Seph-i-roth. 6'1"? That's it? Hey, that's pretty tall, though, next to that other one. Nice green eyes. Looks kind of bitter. But, hey, he's the villain. That's to be expected. Nice silver hair. Cool bangs. Anyway..."

Yuffie: "Kind of a young sprite, ain't she? Doesn't look oriental. But she's a cutie."

(eyes avert back to Sephiroth)

"I might play this game after all. I mean, if he's as cool as everyone SAYS he is."

Cait Sith: (blink, blink) "...I really don't know what to make of this one."

Vincent: "Who the heck is THAT? ...You know what, I can tell that this is one of the ones that supposed to be really cool, but he's not doing anything for me. (reads character profile) Frail? You call THAT frail? ...What kind of a last name is Valentine?"

You can see the problem here. At the first moment I laid eyes on Vincent Valentine, something within me was determined to dislike him. While on the other hand...

(eyes avert back to Sephiroth)

"He's really cute. You know, I guess I'll just whip out the disks and give this game a shot."

It's a strange, personal bias. And Vincent just didn't do anything in the game to redeem himself in my sight, and he really didn't do anything in Advent Children to redeem himself. In other words, it would take a lot.

Here's what I thought when I flipped through the booklet....when I was 7 and first played the game.

Cloud: Big sword. Big hair. Wow...

Aeris: Oooh...Pretty. 'Hey [Insert my big brother's name here]? What in the world is a love triangle?'

Tifa:I love her last name. Lockheart, Lockheart, Lockheart. Pretty...Shiny..

Barret: I am not using him in my party. Ever. :Plays first mission: Dang it.

Red XIII: Hairpins...Enigma? I like that word.

Cid: 'Warm hearted, tough talking pilot'? Does that even make sense. Oh well, he looks cool.

Sephiroth: Bangs! I love those bangs! Not much else. (I actually paid more attention to the Shinra folder behing him.)

Yuffie: Weird costume, but I like her anyway.

Cait Sith: Oh, I'm gonna hate this one, I can tell. (And I did.)

Vincent: Oh, he looks cool. I love his outfit. I'll be using him. :Flips back to Cloud, then to Vincent: I like this one more than the main character, and I have no idea who he is!

And now, my views on the characters when I'm 13:

Cloud: :Smiles: Ahh yes, Cloud. The hero of all heroes.

Aeris: It's so sad she has to die. 'Hey [Insert my big brother's name here], why didn't you tell us? We were so 'WTF?ed' after we saw that FMV.'

Tifa: Meh. She never did anything for me.

Barret: That sailor suit was so cute! Other than that, he sucked actually.

RedXIII: That's no enigma! You find out everything in just a few hours! Still like him though.

Cid: Cussing, smoking, tea drinker. This one's a keeper.

Sephiroth: Best.Villian.EVER. And I still love those bangs.

Yuffie: Somewhat annoying, but I love her anyway.

Cait Sith: I never did like him...:Averts eyes to mog: And I hated THAT.

Vincent: Saddest story ever. That Lucrecia is a b@#$%. :Sniff: I still love him though. His limits rock arse!

My views only. Just opinions.

Here was my view on the characters after playing the game:

Cloud: Omnislash, smomlislash, I still say...you call that a hero?

Aeris: ....

Tifa: You'll get him in the end, girlfriend! Don't give up!

Barret: He wasn't so bad after all. He didn't cuss as much as Cid. Oy.

Red XIII: I LUUUUVVVV HIIIIMMM!!! I want a Red XIII!!!

Cid: Hey, can't go wrong with a Southerner. Could stand to cuss less though.

(which, on a side note, is really funny; he didn't cuss at all in AC)

Sephiroth: Cloud beat him...? Well, he's still cuter than Cloud, at least.

Yuffie: Without a doubt, my favorite playable character. She's such a doll!

Cait Sith: I like Reeve, and he and Cait Sith are basically the same, so I like him. And I loved his fortune-telling; he was so cute.

Vincent: ...I can see why Lucrecia picked Hojo. This guy's a waste.

Oh, we're supposed to go to Germany, and maybe Spain. Which sucks because I wanted to go to Rome. Hmph. Too bad we're not going to England. I might of had a chance to meet you and Lilliana. I can imagine it now. We meet at like, this amusement park, then go scream 'One Winged Angel' on the roller coster. (Or another fast ride because I hate roller coasters.) Hieroglyphics (In writing. Know the whole alphabet except for 'W'.)

One word in Egyptian ('Enwich' meaning 'Yes'.)
