Topic: Character Theme Songs!

If each character had a theme song (Not counting the ones from the game) what would it be? Why? What could be the theme songs for pairings too?

Everyone in my family has a theme tune, even the pets.

Urrr...I think "To Zanarkand" (FFX) for Aeris. It isn't that bright, but tinkley and nice =D It's possibly one of my all time faves.

Outside the Wall by Pink Floyd, anyone? Cloud, maybe.

I think "My Generation" by the Who for Yuffie, for some reason XD

Maybe "Holiday" By Green Day for Sephiroth.

Yazoo: 'She (Knotting Hill Version)' by Elvis Costello. (Search for this on MSN or somthing and when you think about it and what the song's saying, it really fits Yazoo!)

Loz: 'Tonight I wanna cry' by someone I don't know.

Hojo: 'Interested in Madness' by someone off of the Tony Hawk soundtrack.

Cloud: 'Pain' by Jimmy Eat World. (I love this song!)

Heh. Cool. I keep having the song 'Interested in Madness' play through my head and it seriously could be Hojo's theme song.

She F*cking Hates me... by Puddle of Mudd...for a pairing with... uhh.. Reno/Elena i guess...they don't get along sometimes...its just a funny song

I'm too Sexy would be Sephiroth's, Vinnie's, Cloud's, Reno's...the list of bishies goes on...

Holy Mountain by System of a Down I could see as a Vincent song...listen to the lyrics....they are interesting...

Well, for Relena, there's this one song...Err, what's it called? It goes:

I abhor you,

Yet, I adore you,

and for some,

reason why

to be mine.

And the person's practically shouting 'cause she doesn't know whether to love him or hate him. I think it fits.

Or, there's another song called 'The New Girl on the block' talking about a what this one guy thinks about the new girl. He appears to hate her, but deep down, he cares for her. More love-hateness I guess. It fits too.

The Aeriseph theme song could be...what's its name? It goes like this,

Her precious laughter from the past,

The beautiful girl made of glass,

Whom I shattered out of hate,

I loved her, though it's too late.

That seems like Aeriseph...From Sephiroth's view.

The song 'She's like the wind' could be for the pairing of Vincent/Lucrecia.

"I Hate Everything About You" by Three Days Grace for ReTi (eventhough this is my fave couple besides CloTi).

"What's Left of Me" by Nick Lachey for CloTi, it just fits......

Oh I found the PERFECT theme song for Vincent!

'I'm Moving on' by Rascal Flatts.

I swear, he made this song for Vincent. It fits him so perfectly, I'm gonna write down part of the song here.

For Sephiroth it'd be "Cleaning Out my CLoset" by Eminem

For Aerith I'd say...I don't know.

More perfect song for Sephiroth "Superman" by eminem, yes I really like eminem.

Superman is perfect for Sephiroth becuase all the ladies love him and he's like "I know you want me baby."

My girlfriend said that "I'm too sexy" is the perfect song for Sephiroth...we broke up after that.

I foound Tifa's song...or rather what song she'd sing to Aerith...about her feelings for Cloud and how Tifa feels Aerith is taking Cloud from her...its pretty much dead on i'd say

except you'd change 'Jolene' to 'Aerith'

The song i originally by Dolly Parton but it has been remade a few times

"Jolene" is definitely Tifa singing to Aerith about Cloud song...

The second verse...even though it saays Auburn..that is a reddish brown...but haha...ivory skin and emerald eyes. Then the 3rd and 5th verses...I find to be really close to Tifa's feelings. So basically replace Jolene with Aeris...Mindy Smith sings the version i'm listening to and she has a pretty voice..

Personally... I think a good song for Reno would be Another Drinkin' Song by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Just seems to fit him, in my mind.

I also agree with what someone said about Beautiful Disaster being a good song for Yuffentine or just for Vincent, in general.

"Breaking the Habit" by Linkin Park for Cloud. Stubborn, angsty, and generally being the christ-figure (I don't want to be the one the battles always choose = Cloud was pretty reluctant at times. Inside I realize that I'm the one confused = How many times did Cloud have the, "She's right" look whenever Tifa, Aerith or Marlene talked to him?)

There are a couple of others, but I can't remember them at the moment, so I'll edit the post later. ^_^;

I don't really have any opinions about the others characters, but for Sephiroth (other than the obvious One Winged Angel) I think that Animal I have become by Three Days Grace is a great theme song for Sephiroth. Especially my view of him.

I think "Broken" (Seether feat. Amy Lee, The Punisher Soundtrack) is perfect for Vincent... and if you want to add Yuffie to the mix, it still works good. I love that song. I also like the song "4ever", by The Veronicas for the Yuffie/Vincent mix although it would also work for Tifa and Cloud. Another good one for Vincent would be "Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down. I can imagine Cid singing "Headstrong"(I'm not sure if it's by Fuel), but I honestly think that he would prefer singing "She ** Hates Me", by Puddle of Mudd just because of the lyrics, and believe or not, I think Barret would really like "Baby Got Back", by the very poetic Sir Mix A Lot. That would be hillarious. I can imagine the Turks rocking to the hard core tune of Limp Bizkits "Rolling". Aerith would probably choose something corny like "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion or something like that. Now Tifa's more likely to sing "Everthing I'm not" by The Veronicas if she's been feeling in the dumps or "Angel of Mine", sang by Amy Lee. Any other songs I'll have to think about them.

Man, I had a whole list of theme songs that I thought up, but I can't think of them right now. I should really write them down...

Oh, and "Headstrong" is actually by Trapt. I looove that song. But I like Fuel a lot too. Now that I think of it, their song "Falls On Me" would be perfect for just about all of the pairings in FFVII.

Don't mean to double post here, but this topic's been quiet for a while. Anyhoo, I finally came up with a short list of songs that I found perfectly suited the following characters.

Lucrecia- “A Moment Lost”, by Enya. I was looking through my music library the other day, and I thought this was quite suitable for how she feels about Vincent.

Barret- “Nobody’s Listening”, by Linkin Park. While the first few lyrics may not seem to fit with him, the rest of the song completely does, especially with his hatred towards Shinra in the beginning of the game, and how he feels about what happened in Corel. It's perfect, I have to say.

Aerith- “Stand My Ground”, by Within Temptation. I love this band, and many of their songs are something that a lot of the characters can relate to, though I keep thinking Aerith whenever I hear this song.

Yuffie- “Bad Reputation”, by Joan Jett. It's a totally spunky song that perfectly suits her spunkiness and who she basically is throughout FFVII.

The SHM- "Summer Shudder", by AFI. Many of the songs AFI does (though really from only their last couple of albums) really remind me of the SHM. But "Summer Shudder" closely describes them by the end of Advent Children, particularly the chorus. If I could finally import AC footage onto my Mac, I'd so make an AMV to this song.

And although I haven't played DoC yet *sniffle*, "Like You" by Evanescence reminds me of the relationship between Shalua and Shelke, particularly from a metaphorical point of view. At least, it's fitting from what I know about what goes on DoC.

I've got Wake Me Up When September Ends (Greenday) for Vincent/Lucrecia. I confess, that song braught me closer to crying than any other song (though to be fair it was on a memorial AMV for someone's brother who passed away).
